I'm just tired of seeing people bitch really. They constantly get upset over the littlest things and complain to Dames when it really isn't necessary, hence what I was referring to when I said that stating your opinion and backing it up are two different things all together. Someone needs to say something, and it makes one wonder how some of these folks are in real life when you complain about someone insulting you on a message board, and than seem dumbfounded at why you don't have the courage to ask a girl out. It seems like they're totally unrelated, but they both really just stem from the same thing. I assumed you thought I was defending them when you said this: "Wow. Paragon came completely out of left field. I'm amazed anyone's really sticking up for the Puro folder." At least that's the impression that I got out of it, and I'm sure you would have felt the same way.

 

I suppose you could say that that's the reason for the pinned threads, although I don't care enough to look it up. My beef is just with the people who take the comments too seriously and whine about it. Asking for a banning, along those lines. I mean honestly, if I were to enter the WWF folder and ask "What do you all think of Wrestlemania 10?" I would probably get flamed for it too, if only because it's discussed everywhere on the net and with a simple search engine, you could find it. Same thing, and if you want opinions, ask them through PM or visit a few websites. It's along the same lines.

 

With that being said, the bottom line is that people need to start stating why they feel a certain way, and stop bitching about someone whom they will never meet in real life. After all, even if the Gathering thing wasn't cancelled, would you really expect Jubuki to show up?

Paragon, the problem is that this isn't a Private Message board. It's a discussion board. People come here to discuss wrestling. If you want to ask about WM 10, the General Wrestling folder would, I think, be the place to go and post a thread about it. Discussing Puro, in the Puro Folder, on a wrestling Discussion Board should be viable regardless of the specific topic, IMO. I hate the, "Use PM's" defense because . . . well, if it's discussion then make a thread. That's what the board is for. PM's are for smaller things, personal conversations, personal business,etc. Not for actual topic discussion. The board itself is for that and people shouldn't be flamed into oblivion for it.

There's no discussion to be had, and board sucks as a result. You get the information, process it, than discuss. You can't expect them to just throw you an opinion when you don't have one yourself. Why do you think people in the CE folder look down on posting a news bit without actually offering an opinion. It's pretty much the same thing. It wasn't long, it was a paragraph. Interestingly enough, half of that contained your post. The rest was a bit of intelligent discussion with SP, which is the purpose of the board, like I stated earlier. You should try your hand in it sometime.

 

No worries SP, glad I could make you see it that way (whatever that way is). To be honest I don't much about Puro, except for the basics. It's all good though, and I think it's just a misunderstanding on the part of most people. Take the music folder for instance. How many times are people bashed due to a love for Linkin Park or whatever it is that they might listen to? Let's not forget the whole reasoning behind the Avril Invasion...
