Puro seems such a strange beast to me, in that I wouldn't have a clue where to get any (and I have wanted to, just for the reported legendary workrate) so that would likely be my first question if I ever posted in there with any regularity. I suppose that *could* go in the Tape trading folder, but I'd also likely want the opinion of others that watch regularly as to what is the, "good stuff" to shoot for in the tape world.

Aye. Most of us know that and would indeed do it. But there's always the chance that what we're looking for isn't found in those links and we'd have to post about it. I also feel bad for a newb who just doesn't know and gets flamed to hell. Probably flamed in part for being a newb. That's the kind of stuff that even comes close to agitating me as far as message boards go, but thankfully it's a rare situation.

Yeah, but probably the single most basic rule of netiquette, even more so than "be nice", is "be familiar with the group/forum before you post". In other words, RTFM. This rule has been around for as long as internet newsgroups & message boards have existed. And when you have messages that are pinned at the top of the page in bold letters and with descriptive titles like "Matches to check out" and "Answers to your Puro Questions", there's really no excuse for posting questions that can be answered by simply opening your eyes before typing out that post.

 

Yeah, Jubuki/Tim/wolverine could stand to crank down the attitude, but if I had to answer the same things over & over again, I'd probably get just as snarky.

Dearest friends, family, and complete strangers;

 

I am posting tonight to discuss the harsh comments Dangerous A made about myself, Banky Edwards. Upon reading this masterpiece, I had conflicted feelings on it. Should I be amused? Or should I be offended? I admit I kind of brought on such ruthless commentary by being the antagonist poster I am. But on the other hand, most people who have their brain functioning on a healthy level would understand that this is a fantasy land. Most people are not the same on a message board as they are in real life. This is an ‘escapist’ form of entertainment – and that’s how I see it. I do not lay into my friends with constant mother jokes, or unfunny Triple H/Stephanie McMahon analogies to my friends. So in that respect, I find it quite disheartening that another poster would wish death upon me, as a person, because of a joke (and that’s all it truly was) on a message board. I started a thread like this, and made blatant over-the-top homoerotic jokes about Puroresu, because I thought people on this board would be mature enough to distinguish that it was a total joke.

 

This did take me off guard, I thought Dangerous A was a copasetic dude. He always seemed rather intelligent and thoughtful on this message board. Boy, how wrong was I? In my own forgiving way, I pity him. I pity him for he showed that he IS the lowest common denominator on an internet message board. Wishing a world wide epidemic on a complete stranger proves that he does not deserve the privilege to post on this message board. Death is permanent, there is no turning back. An ‘I’m sorry’ cannot make up for the magnitude of such a comment. He is obviously old enough to distinguish the difference between right and wrong – and he pushed himself in the direction of the latter.

 

3-5 years in the Penn? Wow, I am honestly flattered that my posting style has become such a passionate topic for him – but his psychotic desires frighten me. If he sees me in real life, he’d kick my ass? Because I made a blanket comment about the viewers of Puroresu?

 

You say this is NHB on an internet message board, and that you “fuckin get it”? Is that a fact. Did you get that this was an entire joke? Or that this message board is a place for everyone to have some fun, and joke around with one another? Even with anger in this place, 99.9% of these people forget the conflict when they log off their computer. Sadly I don’t think you “fuckin get it”. Moreover, it is disgustingly ironic that you would make such a comment. You don’t get it, and you should be punished for flying off the handle in such an offensive, asinine, and ostentatious manner.

 

If Dames, Dr. Tom, Kahran, Ricky, or any of the other moderators wish to maintain a civilized and respectable message board, they will ban this poster immediately – no questions asked. Stuff like this needs to nipped in the bud, as it could result in unnecessary further conflict.

 

I anticipate further discussion on this matter, and I know that many will not agree with me. That is fine. But remember that I, or anyone else, has ever resorted to such a degree. Joking around is one thing, and this crossed the line. Trolling, flaming outside of the NHB folder, and spamming have gotten numerous people banned – this is far worse, and should be dealt with appropriately.
