GCW's first shows of 2004 will take place next weekend in an Aggies' doubleheader...first it will be Adults F'n Only 25 on Friday night, January 9th, then a free-admission TV taping on Saturday night, January 10th!

GCW insider David Rogers posted on the gatewaywrestling.com message board to announce the first AF'NO of the year, and also to congratulate GCW on being voted Best Local Wrestling Promotion for the fourth year in a row by the listeners to the Stranglehold radio show(www.thestranglehold.com)!

Rogers promises that GCW will be "going old school" and doing some things that GCW hasn't done in a while...already announced, an Aussie Death Match between Diamond Back Dingo and Sean Vincent, plus a lucha libre-style six-man tag(participants TBA)!

If you're ready to kick off 2004 with Gateway Championship Wrestling's style of action, be at Aggies' next weekend for the first "Adults F'n Only" show of the year and also the first TV taping of '04!

GCW kicked off 2004 with its 25th edition of Adults F'n Only at Aggies' on South Broadway!

In the opening match, it was Matt Sydal taking on Trainee #11(aka Lindsey), but before things really got going, Nikki Strychnine and Sindy interrupted the proceedings. Strychnine, still carrying both the GCW Heavyweight Title and GCW Light Heavyweight Title(I was mistaken about him surrending the LHW belt last month), was looking for an accountant for the Fourth Reich, so he turned to Matt, who he thought was Jewish. However, Matt turned him down and, after Nikki attacked Lindsey, it ended up in a fight and Matt challenged Nikki to a match later in the night with the Light Heavyweight Title on the line! The opener was ruled a no contest.

Next up, Cabal polished off Super Castaldi in decisive fashion, winning via cobra clutch slam. It was total domination on the part of the masked man from MsChif's stable.

AF'NO mainstay Heart Attack Jack was up next as he faced Jynx. Despite Jack's multiple attempts to violate Jynx(and the ringside fans' insistence that Jynx enjoyed it), Jynx still prevailed after hitting a swanton bomb!

Kevin Sharp, accompanied by Shawn Almighty, went one-on-one with Makaze. The battle of former titleholders was extremely competitive, but it looked like things were going Makaze's way after Sharp missed a moonsault. However, Almighty broke up Makaze's attempt at a top-rope move, dropping the Wind Of Destruction down across the top rope! This allowed Sharp to hit the Makeover and win the matchup. Sharp and Almighty beat down Makaze afterwards, but Jynx made the save! It looks like there's some mutual respect between Jynx and Makaze after their recent matches(including the mask vs. mask match back in October)...and a tag team match was set up for later in the show.

Kory Twist and Jeremy faced Team Trainee at the midpoint of the show. Trainees #3 and #10 put up a good fight in this one, but Twist and Jeremy flattened them with high-altitude dives to the floor! Back in the ring, the trainees fought back and tried to set up Twist for the Royale With Cheese(spike Skyhigh), but Jeremy broke it up and hit Trainee #3 with the Lightfoot Driver as Twist slammed Trainee #10 down with the Fate Factor! Stereo pins ended things in the favor of Twist and Jeremy!

In what could best be described as a massacre, Chaz Wesson brutalized GCW's new senior official Richard Head, chopping him to ribbons and disposing of him with the Pedigree.

"Slim Sexy" Sean Vincent went one-on-one with Dingo in one of Dingo's specialties, an Aussie Death Match! Anything goes in that kind of contest, and both men went all out, with Vincent even launching an Asai moonsault over the guardrail to flatten Dingo out on the floor! Chairs, a barbed-wire kendo stick, and even thumbtacks came into play as the two set out to destroy each other, with Vincent taking a Skyhigh onto the tacks! Dingo brought a table into the ring, but Vincent turned things around by doing a modified Acid Drop(by walking up the table, which was propped up in the corner)! Vincent tried to end things with a rana, but Dingo countered by delivering a crushing running powerbomb to smash Vincent through the table in the corner! The three-count was academic after that...but like him or not, Vincent showed a lot of toughness by withstanding what Dingo had to dish out!

A tag team grudge match set up earlier in the night took place, with Jynx and Makaze joining forces against Kevin Sharp and Shawn Almighty. It seemed as though Sharp and Almighty had the advantage, having teamed up in the past, but when Makaze took himself and Sharp out of the match with a running cross-bodyblock that sent both over the top, Jynx and Almighty were left alone. Jynx was able to sneak in a small package to keep Almighty's shoulders on the mat for the three-count, picking up his second win of the night!

A six-person lucha libre-style elimination tag match electrified the fans in attendance, as OuTtKaSt, Ian Storm, and Daizee Haze faced the Diabolic Khaos trio of Delirious, MsChif, and Jackal. A lot of fast action in this one, too much to properly call. MsChif and Daizee had a competitive exchange in the ring, ending with MsChif blocking the Daizee Cutter and hitting a Derailer/Baldo Bomb to pin Haze. Ian and Jackal tangled in the ring, with Storm maneuvering Jackal into the Ionosphere(pumphandle flipover into a face-first drop) to eliminate him. Next Storm and MsChif went at it, reprising their battles over the Light Heavyweight Title from last autumn...but when MsChif seemingly had Ian set up for the Desecrator(leg-over-head spike DDT variation), Ian reversed into the Thunderstorm, scoring a huge pinfall! It was OuTtKaSt and Ian left against Delirious, but in the chaos that followed MsChif's elimination, the referee was knocked down. MsChif re-entered the ring to gain some payback, slamming Storm to the mat with the Code Green and allowing Delirious to pin him! That left OuTtKaSt and Delirious against each other and the two tore the house down, exchanging their signature moves until KaSt was able to counter a top-rope Frankensteiner attempt into a Case Study off the turnbuckles! That was enough to put away Delirious, giving OuTtKaSt the victory!

Before the main event, Sean Vincent and Richard Head came out to protest Chaz's excessive violence in his match with Head. Vincent encourageds Head to use his power as senior official to fire Chaz, which he seeemingly did...but Commissioner Keith Smith made an appearance to disagree, saying that only HE can fire people in GCW! It turned into a tense agreement to have a backstage meeting(along with Wesson himself) to try to settle the issues...

Finally, Nikki Strychnine(w/ Sindy) defended the GCW Light Heavyweight Title against Matt. Strychnine continued his verbal barrage against Matt(despite Matt insisting that he wasn't Jewish), then unleashed his physical assault by attacking Matt's arm(which was injured in a recent match with Kid Kash)! Matt fought back after Nikki mocked Matt's high-flying "flippy" style, setting up Nikki for a top-rope Frankensteiner. Matt executed the move, but Nikki rolled through it and got a double-leg cradle(with feet on the ropes) to defeat Matt, hanging onto the gold!

GCW's upcoming shows are: Saturday 1/10 at Aggies' in St. Louis(free-admission TV taping), Friday 1/23 at Aggies' for a standard house show, Saturday 2/14 at Aggies' for Adults F'n Only 26.

GCW TV Report 1/17/04

GCW television is on the air! On the air with some slight audio issues, granted, but those get worked out fairly quickly. Your hosts are The Grand Poobah and...well, Tommy Jeans is apparently "on assignment", but here comes Coach Chuck Farley to fill in. Coach explains that Tommy apparently got hooked up with Paris Hilton, so he's filling in(in return for Tommy hooking HIM up with some of East St. Louis' finest ladies). With our color commentary position thus decided, let's hit the ring.

Ian Storm vs. Kevin Sharp(w/ Shawn Almighty)

Sharp was instrumental in the breakup of Double Negative, and now Storm has a shot at revenge. Coach observes that all the split needed to be classic was Ian getting send through a plate glass window.

At any rate, Sharp isn't getting paid by the hour and he shows it by jumping Ian right from the get-go. He sends Ian into the ropes, looking for a hiptoss on the rebound, but Ian blocks that, fights out of the predicament, and snaps off a flying neckbreaker for the show's first two-count. Ian tries the Irish whip thing, but Sharp will have none of that, reversing things and planting him with a spinebuster on the rebound. Cover...no, chokehold. That's not very nice.

Sharp hits a fistdrop and then takes Storm for a ride via running powerslam. Cover...for two. Sharp stomps him down and whips Storm into the corner, but takes waaaaay too much time before charging in and hits only turnbuckles. Ian sets up for the John Wu Dropkick, but Sharp sidesteps and the dropkick hits nothing but air. Then Sharp dusts off a truly classic move: The Garvin Stomp! Haven't seen that one in a while. Sharp pulls him up to his feet...BAM, Makeover. Cover...and Sharp pulls him up. Not a smart move.

Sharp sets up for Makeover #2, wanting to make an example out of "The Tool", but suddenly Ian elbows out of the setup and turns it around into a Thunderstorm attempt! He hits the backbreaker part of it, but before he can finish the move Almighty decides to jump on the ring apron to protest the match's officiating. The referee tries to keep him out of the action and Storm is distracted, but when he turns back to his scheduled opponent, he gets punted right in the, ahem, "lower abdomen". The second Makeover hits this time, and that's the ballgame.

WINNER: Kevin Sharp

The post-match beatdown begins in earnest, but OuTtKaSt hits the ring and the heels bail. Looks like that issue between OuTtKaSt and Sharp from a few weeks back on TV isn't settled just yet.

Plug for the next show, at Aggies' on South Broadway in St. Louis on Friday, January 23rd.

The Grand Poobah brings Kory Twist out for an interview, insinuating that the title match on the previous edition of GCW TV didn't quite go his way. Yeah, I guess you could say that. Twist says that Nikki's been trying to recruit him, not because he likes him or "sees something in him", but because he's afraid of him(a comment that earns some laughs from the Disciples Of Hate in attendance). Twist says that no matter how much Strychnine runs and hides, sooner or later "fate will find you!"

DINGO vs. MsChif(w/ Delirious)

Recently Diamond Back Dingo has been referred to as simply "DINGO", which I guess is along the lines of Kenta Kobashi becoming just "KENTA"...either way, DINGO was Local Wrestler Of The Year a couple of years ago, while MsChif has been voted Female Local Wrestler Of The Year for a couple of years now.

Anywho, they tie it up to start, with DINGO taking MsChif down to the mat early on. MsChif knees him in the gut a few times to get out of the predicament, then comes off the ropes to catch DINGO in the Darkness Embrace(modified Octopus). DINGO tries to fight out, then finds the turnbuckles will do nicely to assist his escape. The two try to outmaneuver each other, with DINGO getting the better of that by springing over MsChif in the corner and getting a rolling reverse cradle...for two. MsChif attempts her own rolling reverse cradle only to get blocked, but she drop toeholds DINGO to the mat and flattens him with a standing moonsault!

DINGO returns fire by snapmaring MsChif and hooking an anklelock, and while Delirious tries to push the ropes toward MsChif to assist her escape, DINGO can't get the tapout and relinquishes the hold. Belly-to-belly suplex and Dingo signals that he's going to the top rope. MsChif tries to pull herself up on the referee, and when Dingo attempts his moonsault-ish leap from the top, it's the referee that gets nailed. Delirious takes the opportunity to interject himself, coming off the top with a high-impact missile dropkick to DINGO's back! MsChif hooks DINGO in a small package and the referee manages to log the three-count!

WINNER: MsChif

More upcoming show hype: "All-ages" show at Aggies' on the 23rd, DeSoto at the Knights Of Columbus Hall on Saturday the 24th.

Poobah now brings out Daizee Haze for an interview, asking her to respond to Pete Madden's recent sexist comments about women in general and herself in particular. Daizee responds by mocking Pete's alleged advanced age, saying that he used to be hardcore but now the only things "hard" about him are his arteries and prostate gland. Ouch. Poobah says that she should be careful with regards to Madden, and she agrees: One could pass out from the nursing home smell that he has about him.

This brings out The Human Wrecking Ball himself for counterpoint. He tells "Lara Flynn Boyle Drug Airplane" that first, she needs to eat a sandwich, and second, she needs to go make HIM a sandwich. He says that if they ever fought in the ring, he'd rip out her pancreas and turn it into jerky. Um, yeah. He calls out Commissioner Keith Smith to settle things, and Keith makes the match for next week on GCW TV. Keith's money is on Daizee, apparently...

Non-Title: Super Castaldi II vs. Nikki Strychnine(w/ Sindy)

Once thought departed, Castaldi II has made a shocking return in this match against the GCW Heavyweight & Light Heavyweight Champion...I don't like his chances though.

Strychnine sees no need to waste time and goes on the attack right away, starting off somewhat clean with a hiptoss, suplex, and powerbomb. However, Nikki then follows up with his trademark Toxic Shock, and just to make sure he got it right, he does it two more times. I don't think we'll be seeing any second-generation Castaldis after that. Referee Jim Tennings gives Nikki a warning, which is enough provocation for Strychnine to do the Toxic Shock one more time...and that's a DQ.

WINNER(by DQ): Super Castaldi II

Nikki responds with his usual respect(or lack thereof) for law and order, giving Tennings a Toxic Shock as well. Enter Kory Twist, exit Strychnine...Nikki continues to insist that Twist should fall in line with "the rest of the Reich", but now it's pretty clear where Twist's mindset lies.

Hype for Aggies' and DeSoto upcoming.

Chaz Wesson vs. Delirious(w/ MsChif)

Delirious makes his entrance by throwing the baseball cap of a ringside fan...do you know how much it costs to get those cleaned?...I've heard. Delirious was voted Best Local Wrestler for the past two years here in the St. Louis area and has made his name in places like NWA Wildside and IWA Mid-South, as Poobah informs us.

Coach comments on how well he knows Chaz Wesson(having once managed him) and how he could have helped Delirious in this match...then later comments that despite their past issues, he wouldn't mind "getting the band back together" as it relates to the Old School Warriors. Hmm...

Anywho, wrestling and all that. Lockup to start with Chaz overpowering Delirious and backing him into the corner, but breaking clean. Lockup again and Wesson gets a waistlock, turning it into a quick rollup for two. Delirious tries for a single-leg dive but Chaz blocks that and takes him over in a headlock for another two-count. Nice gutwrench suplex by Chaz, straight into an armbar. Delirious reverses things, though Chaz has his wits about him enough to kick at MsChif as she gets a little too close to the action outside the ring. Delirious takes him down to the mat and gets his own two-count.

Lockup again and Chaz whips Delirious into the ropes, then hits a big clothesline after a criss-cross. Delirious bails to the outside to buy himself some time, then re-enters with the Greco-Roman thumb to the eye to gain the edge. Delirious decides to try to chop Chaz, and myself and Coach both agree that that's not a very good idea. Wesson reverses a whip into the corner, clubs away at the masked man, then shows him just how you throw a CHOP. Ouch.

Delirious goes to the eyes again and it turns into an exchange of chops that echo through the friendly confines of Aggies'! Chaz ends that abruptly with a quick small package...for two. Delirious comes up with a fast schoolboy rollup...for two. Delirious tries a suplex, but Chaz reverses it into a modified Falcon Arrow slam! Cover...for two.

Chaz momentarily decides to go for Delirious' mask, but the ref warns him against it, so he goes back to the CHOPS. Whip and Dropkick O' Death...for two. MsChif decides to get involved in the match and jumps up on the apron, but hops back down when Chaz goes after her...except that DINGO is right behind her. A fight erupts on the floor, but back in the ring Delirious connects with a missile dropkick off the top...for 2 1/2. Whip into the ropes, but Chaz reverses in desperation and hits the Mullet Cutter(military press dropped into a Diamond Cutter)!

Chaz tries to finish things by setting Delirious up on the turnbuckles and hooking him up as if to deliver a top-rope Pedigree. Delirious fights out of that, perches on the top turnbuckle, and leaps off for a rana attempt...but Chaz blocks at the last second, powers him up, and powerbombs him to the mat! Cover...one...two...three!

WINNER: Chaz Wesson

Gateway Championship Wrestling results from "Assault At Aggies'" last night in St. Louis, MO at Aggies' on South Broadway:

The opening match between MsChif(w/ Delirious) and Trainee #11 was interrupted by Sean Vincent and Richard Head(w/ Coach Chuck Farley), with Vincent once again proclaiming his disdain for women's wrestling. MsChif wanted to teach him a lesson once again, even saying that she would team with the trainee against Vincent and Head...and Commissioner Keith Smith made the match!

Vincent and Head took advantage of the trainee's lack of experience(and MsChif's refusal to tag on, saying that the trainee had to "prove herself")...but once MsChif did enter the fray, it was all downhill. Vincent gave MsChif a good fight but appeared to be beaten after the Unhallowed Grace. However, MsChif tagged Trainee #11 into the match, giving her the opportunity to win! #11 took a bit too much time on going for the pin and Vincent kicked out...so in disgust, MsChif walked out on the match, leaving #11 to be pinned by Vincent after a combination "Sexy Elbow" by Vincent and diving Head-BUTT by Head off opposite turnbuckles!

MsChif's minions Jackal and Cabal were up next against Team Trainee, sporting their brand-new T-shirts(now available at GCW merchandise stands!). Nightbreed controlled a good portion of the match, but miscommunication between Jackal and Cabal led to Cabal accidentally squashing his own partner in the corner! Team Trainee capitalized by hitting Jackal with the Royale With Cheese and Trainee #3 got the pinfall! Post-match, MsChif was not pleased with Cabal and threatened severe consequences if he didn't shape up...

GCW newcomer David Cox was in action against former Light Heavyweight Champion OuTtKaSt. While Cox had a good showing, KaSt was too much for him on this night, as he emerged victorious with the Case Study.

Four GCW fan favorites locked up as DINGO and Chaz Wesson took on Kory Twist and Jeremy. Neither side seemed able to put the other away, as saves were made and wrestlers survived everything the other team could throw at them. The fifteen-minute time limit expired, but both sides wanted five more minutes...and got it! Even with the extra time, things couldn't be decided as the overtime expired, leaving the match as a draw. Ever the competitor, DINGO was reluctant to shake hands with the opposition afterwards, but Chaz convinced him to show the proper respect after a great matchup!

After intermission, Mike Sharona made his first appearance in GCW in quite a while to take on Delirious(w/ MsChif). These two had a great matchup with a lot of lightning-fast exchanges, but it apeared as though Sharona had things going his way after blocking Shadows Over Hell. MsChif got involved, interrupting Sharona's turnbuckle climb just long enough for Delirious to roll him up and hold the tights for the three-count.

Kevin Sharp and Shawn Almighty came out for their scheduled match, but the opponents weren't who they expected...D'Mon G and Rat Boy! Sharp protested that they were supposed to face the Fourth Reich, but Sindy declared that "Thug Inc." was beneath the Reich, so they'd have to deal with different opponents.

Rat Boy fought most of the match, giving Sharp and Almighty more of a fight than they expected out of him...he even hit the Dolphin Dive on Sharp! However, just when it looked like Rat Boy was on the verge of the upset, D'Mon G entered the ring and speared his own partner! D'Mon planted Rat Boy with a swinging uranagi, then left Almighty to pick up the pieces by finishing Rat Boy with the Last Revelation. "Thug Inc." had a new member...and as Kevin Sharp said, "dark days are coming".

The final match of the evening was an electrifying triple threat match between Matt Sydal(who was sporting his recently-won IWA Mid-South Light Heavyweight Title belt during intermission), Makaze, and Ian Storm! This one could have gone any which way, as each man hit their signature maneuevers and each man hit high-altitude dives onto opponents out on the floor! In the end, it was Makaze that scored the victory, as he hit the Osaka Jam on Storm and gave Matt a Death Valley Driver off the top ONTO STORM, then pinned Ian for the win! The Wind Of Destruction was the last man standing on this night at Aggies'!

GCW TV Report 1/24/04

Welcome back to GCW television! Your hosts are The Grand Poobah and Coach Chuck Farley(Tommy Jeans having gotten lost on the way back from "assignment", apparently), and the main event is "The Human Wrecking Ball" Pete Madden vs. Daizee Haze! Time for action...

"Slim Sexy" Sean Vincent(w/ Richard Head) vs. Matt (Sydal)

Vincent disposes of the shirt right off the bat, much to the chagrin of ringsiders(except for maybe Louie).

Technical start to things as the two exchange armholds. Poobah shills the rest of the card, featuring Kory Twist and OuTtKaSt in action, and things pick up with Matt being shot into the ropes. However, Matt steps on Vincent's back as he attempts a backdrop, then hooks a rolling reverse cradle for an early two-count. Armdrag and bar follow, but Vincent backs Matt into the corner to break the hold. A punchfest erupts, and as the referee tries to separate the two, Vincent sneaks in a low blow, then does a rollup to send Matt crashing backwards into the turnbuckles! That's a new one.

With Matt down in the corner, Vincent hits his running Vaderbomb-headbutt to the lower extremities. Frontslam in the corner and Vincent goes up, thinking moonsault...but instead he drops down into a split-legged moonsault! Where'd he learn THAT trick? Cover...for two. Snapmare and chinlock as the fans try to rally Matt into a comeback...Matt elbows out of the hold, hits the ropes, comes off with a sunset flip attempt...but Vincent sits down on it, then comes off the ropes himself with a swinging neckbreaker! Cover...for two.

Chinlock again, but Matt fights out of that one as well...ducks a clothesline and hits a gutwrench Ki-Krusher! Matt goes to turnbuckle two to try to finish things, jumps off...but stops himself before landing on Vincent's raised boot. He pulls Vincent back to his feet, but Vincent manages to boot him in the gut and pick him up for a Death Valley Driver. Vincent spins Matt around(with Matt's feet knocking down the ref in the process), hits the move, then goes topside for the Sexy Elbow...hits it! Cover, but the count is delayed and Matt just barely kicks out at 2 1/2!

A frustrated Vincent tries to set up for a superplex, but Matt fights out of that and sends him crashing down to the canvas...then perches on the top and launches the shooting star press...nails it! Count it, ref.

WINNER: Matt

Graphic hyping tonight's show in DeSoto, MO at the Knights Of Columbus Hall...check www.gatewaywrestling.com for more information on the card!

Poobah brings out Kevin Sharp and Shawn Almighty for interview time. Sharp says they're tired of being oppressed and held back, joking to Almighty that next the GCW management will want them to tapdance or pick cotton or something. Ouch. Almighty says that "Thug Inc." will be hitting GCW with a double dose of "black attack", and Sharp adds that "dark days are coming". (To Poobah) "Hear that?" (Poobah shakes his head.) "I knew you weren't listening."

Vincent and Head are back out, with Vincent complaining about Head's dismal win-loss record in GCW thus far. However, Vincent somehow got Head a #1 contender's match with Kory Twist...somehow I don't think the pep talk will help much.

Richard Head(w/ Sean Vincent) vs. Kory Twist

...and Twist wastes no time dashing into the ring to get this one started, chasing Head all around the ring. Twist stands off in the ring, then lays down and invites Head to try to pin him. Head is suckered into the ring and Twist quickly kicks out of that predicament...it's downhill from there for the "Head Official". Twist winds up the arm and takes Head down, then barely flinches at one of Head's punches. Whip, Fate Factor, goodbye.

WINNER: Kory Twist

Coach claims a moral victory for Head; "At least he beat him in the footrace!"

Graphic for tonight's show in DeSoto and the Overland show on Friday, February 6th...check the website and all that!

Trainee #10 vs. OuTtKaSt

Coach seems to doubt the productiveness of KaSt's change of heart now that he's enjoying the cheers of the fans, saying that he hasn't held any gold since that happened. On the other side of things, Coach wonders about Team Trainee's merchandising department, as they're the first trainees in GCW history to market their own T-shirts. (The T-shirts sold out at last night's show...true story.)

Anywho, things kick off with some feeling-out, ending with Trainee #10 getting a few armdrags and a dropkick for a two-count. #10 tries a chain of suplexes, but hey, that's gimmick infringement...and KaSt retaliates by blocking the third suplex and going straight into the Six-Sic-Six! Whip into the turnbuckles and KaSt ascends the turnbuckles to knock the trainee down hard with the Downfall Of Society...for two.

KaSt presses his advantage with a series of snapmares and a chinlock, but the trainee shows signs of life, fighting out and rallying with a clothesline, elbow, and backdrop. One more clothesline attempt, but KaSt ducks that and maneuvers straight into the Case Study, and that's the ballgame.

WINNER: OuTtKaSt

Poobah can barely announce the winner of the match before "Thug Inc." hits the ring to lay a beatdown on OuTtKaSt for getting involved in their business last week...but Ian Storm is quickly in with a chair, and Sharp and Almighty decide a strategic retreat is in order.

Graphic hyping upcoming shows in DeSoto and Overland.

Daizee Haze vs. "The Human Wrecking Ball" Pete Madden(w/ Sindy)

Pete's recent comments on TV about the superiority of the male gender got under Daizee's skin, she returned verbal fire last week, and Commissioner Keith Smith made the match...so here we go.

Daizee decides on a sneak attack strategy, hiding beside the entranceway with the even-present shopping cart full of "plunder" as Pete is announced. Then, as Pete is jawing with the fans, Daizee runs out and nails him with a chair! Daizee sets the chair down, only to DDT Madden on it! Daizee keeps up the pressure with a series of chops, even as Pete attempts to seek refuse by bailing over the guardrail. Daizee next brings out a kendo stick wrapped in barbed-wire, nailing Pete across the back and over the head!

Things finally get back into the ring and Pete uses his size advantage to reverse a whip, but gets caught with a flying headscissors on the rebound. Daizee ducks a clothesline and armdrags Madden, then uses some fancy footwork to confuse him and takes him over with a rana! Two-count. Big right fist and Madden is knocked down again, and Daizee hooks the legs...for two.

Haze goes topside and jumps off for a cross-bodyblock...only to get caught in a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Pete holds on and drops her with a side suplex on top of that! Despite the early onslaught, Madden totally fails to take the match seriously at this point...he jaws with fans, poses for a photograph at ringside, and even goes to the concession stand for a soda before sitting down in the audience! However, after pitching a fit over not getting a diet soda, Pete climbs back into the ring. Suplex set up...and delivered. Pete then rolls out and joins the commentary team to offer his unbiased analysis that Pete Madden has the superior technical ability in this contest. Poobah tells him to keep his mind on the match, which prompts Pete to threaten to punch him in the mouth. Okay then.

Pete throws three steel chairs into the ring, sets up two and bridges them with the third...obviously with some bad intentions in mind. However, Daizee desperately fights back, hoists Madden up onto the turnbuckles, and Frankensteiners him down into the steel! Even as Pete gives the Fourth Reich salute while flat on his back, Daizee hits a legdrop and covers...for two. Daizee fires away on Madden but takes a knee to the midsection, then a "if she had a gut this would be a gutwrench suplex"(according to Pete). Pete then picks up a leg of the downed Daizee and hits...a "foot DDT"? That's another new one...and on top of that, Madden adds a "fistdrop to the fist"!

Pete celebrates his control of the match by parading with Sindy at ringside, then gets one of the chairs and goes up for the tradmark chairsault...nobody home! Daizee crawls over and covers...one...two...NO! Pete tries for a running powerslam, but gets shoved off into the turnbuckles, and Daizee rolls him up...one...two...THREE!

WINNER: Daizee Haze

Needless to say, Madden is less than thrilled with the result of the matchup, and he attacks the referee and throws him out. He then puts Daizee in a Boston crab, but here's someone we haven't seen in a while in GCW TV jumping the guardrail...welcome back Makaze! Makaze breaks up the crab in short order, corners Pete...and FIREBALLS him! Ye-ouch! Makaze then chases Sindy right out of the building as Evil Jim comes out to check on Madden, and that's how this edition of GCW TV comes to a close...

GCW results from "Frostbite" tonight(Saturday 1/24) in DeSoto, MO:

The opening match featured Jeremy taking on "Slim Sexy" Sean Vincent. The officiating seemed to be somewhat biased, as Head Official Richard Head was calling things in favor of his mentor. When it came down to a battle of chops, Jeremy seemed unimpressed with Vincent's efforts and gave an impromptu demonstration...on Richard Head. Vincent tried his own chop(on Head), but again Jeremy was not impressed. In the end, Jeremy planted Vincent with a Lightfoot Driver(Kryptonite Krunch version, I believe), but Head wouldn't count the pin. Jeremy gave Vincent a second 'Driver, and when Head hesitated on slapping the mat for the third time, Jeremy grabbed his hand and slapped the mat with it himself, getting the pinfall!

Cabal had a shot at redemption against Trainee #3 after last night's tag team loss to Team Trainee, and the masked man dominated things for the most part. Trainee #3 managed to distract Cabal with a shiny coin, and when he put it down on the mat, Cabal bent down to look, allowing the trainee to hit a DDT. Trainee #3 got his own hat and hit the SSSSSnap, but that only made Cabal mad, and he polished off the trainee with not one but two cobra clutch slams.

Next up, Sean Vincent, furious over his protege counting him down, demanded that Richard Head "impress him" in his match with Rat Boy. It was a competitive match, with Head using every cheating tactic possible to gain an advantage. Low blows were abundant on both sides of this match, and Vincent ended up being the deciding factor in the match. "Doogie" distracted the referee when it appeared Rat Boy had the match won after a pumphandle slam and Dolphin Dive; this allowed Head to recover and beat Rat Boy down in the corner, then connect with his signature Diving Head-BUTT into Rat Boy's nether regions in the corner. Head covered Rat Boy for the three-count, scoring a rare victory!

Shawn Almighty faced off against Jackal(w/ Cabal), and Almighty was seemingly the crowd favorite on this night. Jackal surprised Almighty with some aerial offense late in the match, but Cabal attempted a trip-up and tripped his own partner by mistake! Almighty capitalized, hitting the Last Revelation to finish the job! Cabal's mishap earned him another tongue-lashing from MsChif, who was getting increasingly fed up with her minion's problems!

It had been announced that due to weather problems, the Fourth Reich and Madman Pondo would not be in attendance...so a Gateway Rumble would take place later in the night!

The other half of Team Trainee, Trainee #10, took on Chaz Wesson. #10 tried to go on the attack early to gain the edge, but things went downhill when he tried to use knife-edge chops...and Chaz showed him exactly how you do a CHOP. The trainee put forth a good effort against the veteran Wesson, but Chaz came out on top with a face-first piledriver.

After intermission, two GCW favorites were in tag team action as DINGO and Big Bad Ben teamed up against two newcomers to the ranks, Chris Hargas and David Cox. DINGO and Ben goofed around at first, but Hargas and Cox surprised the two Gateway mainstays with their teamwork, isolating DINGO for several minutes. Finally DINGO was able to tag Ben into the match and the big man cleaned house, kicking Hargas over the top rope and chokeslamming Cox to the canvas. DINGO scored the pinfall after Ben Rocket-Launched him onto Cox!

Kory Twist, looking to gain momentum heading into his title match in two weeks against Nikki Strychnine, faced Ian Storm. Storm wasn't about to be used as as a stepping stone and the two had a very closely-fought contest. Twist used a new move to finish off "The Tool", picking him up in slam position but spinning him around and dropping him face-and-chest-first to the mat! That was enough for Twist to get the 1-2-3.

Next up was the Gateway Rumble, with Trainee #3 and Big Bad Ben as the first two entrants. Things went badly for Trainee #3 until Trainee #10 hit the ring as the third entry...then things went worse. The ring quickly filled up with combatants as grudges from earlier in the night were rekindled, and just as quickly bodies went flying over the top rope. Order of elimination was: Richard Head, Jeremy, Sean Vincent, Rat Boy, Shawn Almighty, Jackal, Trainee #3, Trainee #10, Ian Storm, David Cox, DINGO, Cabal, Big Bad Ben. It came down to Kory Twist, Chaz Wesson, and Chris Hargas. Hargas nearly eliminated Chaz, who tried to skin-the-cat back in, but Twist caught both men off-balance and deposited them to the floor, winning the Rumble!

Finally, it was OuTtKaSt vs. MsChif(w/ Nightbreed) two-out-of-three-falls, falls-count-anywhere. These two are very familiar with each other and it showed as they were able to avoid a lot of each other's signature moves. OuTtKaSt caught an Asai moonsault attempt by MsChif and went for a running powerslam, but MsChif turned around in mid-move and planted KaSt with a DDT, winning the first fall!

Early in the second fall, Nightbreed got involved by breaking up a pinfall attempt by OuTtKaSt...so KaSt took matters into his own hands by walking up the turnbuckles and hitting a somersault plancha onto Cabal and Jackal! MsChif then followed him out with her own plancha off the top! At this point, the referee ejected Nightbreed from ringside, but the fight was still on as they battled all around the ring and beyond the guardrail. MsChif nearly scored on the floor after dropping KaSt off the bleachers onto two chairs, but KaSt barely got a shoulder up!

Back in the ring, KaSt evened the score by dusting off an old favorite, the Lost Cause, and bridging for the pin. With things even, the two unleashed their best moves, but neither seemed able to put the other away. OuTtKaS maneuvered his way into hitting a German suplex on MsChif and the referee counted three...but he raised both wrestlers' hands, saying that KaSt's shoulders were down as well! Head Official Richard Head came down and wanted to declare MsChif the winner, but Commissioner Keith Smith took matters into his own hands, clotheslining Head out of the ring and ordering the match to continue until there was a decisive winner!

The battle continued and MsChif seemed to have things going her way, setting KaSt up on the turnbuckles for a top-rope Frankensteiner. However, KaSt blocked it and took MsChif down to the mat the hard way with a powerslam off the turnbuckles! That was finally enough to put MsChif away, and OuTtKaSt came out on top as GCW's return to DeSoto came to a close!

Short-form results: Jeremy d. Sean Vincent; Cabal d. Trainee #3; Richard Head d. Rat Boy; Shawn Almighty d. Jackal; Chaz Wesson d. Trainee #10; DINGO & Big Bad Ben d. Chris Hargas & David Cox; Kory Twist d. Ian Storm; Kory Twist won a Gateway Rumble, last eliminating Chaz Wesson and Chris Hargas; OuTtKaSt d. MsChif in a best-of-three-falls match(MsChif won the first fall; KaSt won the second fall; both were counted down on a German suplex but the match was restarted; KaSt won the third fall to win the match).

GCW TV Report 1/31/04

Welcome back to Gateway Championship Wrestling television! Your hosts are The Grand Poobah and Coach Chuck Farley(Tommy Jeans apparently on a really long "assignment"), and...Sean Vincent interrupts the opening spiel, accompanied by Richard Head. He's just a little bit disappointed in Head's quick loss to Kory Twist last week, so this week he got them a tag team match against Chaz Wesson and Jeremy(Head rubs his upper chest with a pained look on his face). Lunch plans call for chops.

Sean Vincent & Richard Head vs. Chaz Wesson & Jeremy

Coach talks about Jeremy's experience in wrestling, saying that Jeremy dished out his first ever beatdown in THE BIZ...and that he still hasn't forgiven him for that.

Anywho, the match. Head not-so-willingly ends up starting the match and ends up getting surrounded by the opposition, ending in a press powerslam by Wesson. Vincent tags in as Poobah runs down the rest of the card, a battle of "animals" as Rat Boy faces Jackal, plus a big grudge tag team main event as OuTtKaSt and Ian Storm face "Thug Inc.", Kevin Sharp and Shawn Almighty.

Vincent has no better luck than his partner, as Chaz locks him in a full nelson and tags in Jeremy for some added pain. Jeremy armdrags and suplexes "Slim Sexy", then briefly holds him down in a chinlock before unleashing some tomahawk chops. Chaz tags in and Jeremy backdrops Vincent into a modified Samoan drop by Wesson. Chaz looks to finish by setting up a Pedigree, but Vincent hooks the legs and stomps him below the belt to put an end to THAT.

Vincent chokes Wesson on the rope and goes for the old Big Boss Man running sit move, but hits only ropes as Chaz moves. Wesson dishes out the punishment, both in and (briefly) out of the ring, and oddly enough Head isn't all that eager to get in and help his mentor. Flying clothesline nearly knocks Vincent out of his boots, then Jeremy re-enters and he and Chaz double up to slam Vincent's knees into the mat, targeting his surgically-repaired knee from last year.

Vincent low-blows Jeremy(I sense a theme in this match) and NOW Head tags in. Double whip and double elbow gets Head a two-count, so Head hooks the chinlock...only to take a jawbreaker. Jeremy backs him into the corner and lifts the shift to prepare for some CHOPS...but backs off upon seeing the red welts on Head's chest from a recent singles match with Chaz. Jeremy(to Chaz): "Did you do that?" Chaz: "Yeahhhh..." Jeremy(nodding): "Nice job!"

Either way, Jeremy decides to show a bit of mercy, instead slamming Head to the mat and tagging in Wesson for a high-altitude splash off the top! Vincent dives in to make the save, but Chaz gets up and Vincent hits his own partner instead. Wesson wraps up by powerbombing Vincent into his own partner and covering both for the three-count.

WINNERS: Chaz Wesson & Jeremy

Graphic hyping next Friday's show in Overland, MO...check out www.gatewaywrestling.com for more details!

Poobah brings out the Fourth Reich for a promo, with Pete Madden looking a bit the worse for wear after last week's fireball attack by Makaze...he's all bandaged up and can barely put on his Fourth Reich headgear due to the pain. Strychnine berates Madden for losing to a woman("...albeit a blue-eyed, blond-haired woman..."), but says he has more important matters to attend to...namely, his grudge match with Makaze next week in Overland.

Pete can barely talk, saying that Daizee cheated for the whole match last week and that he's a little emotional...there are tears under his eyepatch. That was his favorite eyebrow, dammit! "I can't even look at people incredulously any more!" Pete eventually decides that he "can't continue" and returns the microphone to Strychnine. The grudge match in Overland will be Makaze's mask(which the Yamamoto Corporation, former endorser of Makaze, wants back) vs. Madden's career. Nikki declares that nothing will be left of Makaze after that match but a "yellow smear on the mat".

Jackal(w/ Cabal) vs. Rat Boy

Two unorthodox competitors here...Poobah is amazed that neither of them injured themselves making their way to the ring.

Jackal takes down Rat Boy right away and works on the arm with legdrops and stomps, then cinches in a sleeperhold with Rat Boy facedown on the mat. Rat Boy powers up from that and backs Jackal into the corner...repeatedly...to bust out of that. With Jackal cornered, Rat Boy picks up the legs and yanks him out of there the hard way, dropping down on top of him in the process with a sort-of powerslam. Two-count. Rat Boy then shows some impressive power, lifting Jackal into a chain of powerbomb, powerbomb, Samoan drop! Cool move.

Rat Boy goes topside, looking for the feared Dolphin Dive, but Cabal breaks that up and jumps in to inflict some punishment...and this one's over before it really even got going.

WINNER(by DQ): Rat Boy

Delirious and MsChif run in to get themselves some of this beatdown, but the festivities are interrupted by Matt Sydal and Daizee Haze who run off the heels. On the way out, Jackal takes the opportunity to shove down Louie from across the guardrail, prompting multiple "earth just shook" jokes from Poobah and Coach... Rat Boy has a shot at revenge next week in Overland against Cabal, though...

And speaking of Overland, GCW returns to Overland next Friday...check the website for details.

Kevin Sharp & Shawn Almighty vs. OuTtKaSt & Ian Storm

A lot of history here, as Sharp and KaSt had some issues on TV in recent weeks and, of course, Sharp was the catalyst for the breakup of the Double Negative tag team of Storm and Almighty.

It worked for Daizee last week, so Sharp and Almighty hide on either side of the entranceway to jump their opponents as they make their way to ringside. The battle enters the ring, but KaSt and Ian turn things around, reversing Irish whips and backdropping Sharp and Almighty(respectively). Things boil down to Storm and Sharp(with referee Jim Tennings somehow managing to gain control of the matchup), with Storm catapulting Sharp into the corner and scoring a near-fall off a sitout inverted DDT.

Since there isn't enough going on here, Commissioner Keith Smith joins the commentary team to announce that he'll be the special guest referee for the Makaze-Madden match next week, under the pretense that he's multi-lingual and can communicate with Makaze better. Coach cites Keith's karaoke experience as proof, but given Keith's past history with Madden, I imagine the Killer Commish is looking to keep the Human Wrecking Ball in line.

KaSt tags in against Sharp and maintains control, hitting a clothesline and Samoan drop for a two-count. Six-Sic-Six attempt, but Sharp knees him in the gut to stop the first suplex and picks him up in a KILLER shoulderbreaker. Fistdrop gets two, and the focus of Thug Inc. is clearly on OuTtKaSt's arm from this point on. Almighty tags in and holds up KaSt's legs as he's hung on the top rope, allowing Sharp to vault over the top and snap the injured arm down off the rope.

Almighty whips KaSt into the ropes and nails the running Hart Attack-style clothesline, then whips KaSt shoulder-first into the corner turnbuckles. Almighty wants to end it with the Last Revelation, but KaSt floats over to escape the pumphandle setup and clotheslines Almighty down! KaSt can't follow up, though, and Almighty quickly returns fire to prevent the tag. Sharp tags in himself and shows his power by lifting KaSt up by the bad arm, then snaps the arm down across his own shoulder. Nice. Big splash earns Sharp a two-count.

Sharp takes the opportunity to cheapshot Ian...then while the ref is occupied with Storm's attempts to get into the fray, he punts KaSt in the nether regions(with Almighty holding him), then DDTs him to the mat. Ah, heel tag teamwork, gotta love it. Almighty tags in, but KaSt nearly surprises him with the Spineshank...but he can't quite complete the move due to the pain in his arm, as the two both crash down to the mat. KaSt, undaunted, nails Almighty, tries it again...and this time he hits it! Cover...for two.

KaSt whips Almighty into the ropes and tries a hiptoss, but Almighty shows his agility by landing on his feet and snapping off a Diamond Cutter! Race To Tag time...but Almighty hooks a leg to prevent KaSt from reaching his corner, tagging in Sharp. Sharp works over the arm and hooks his armlock camel clutch submission hold, but Ian's quickly in to break that up. Of course, while the referee is getting Storm out, Almighty swaps in without a tag. Double suplex by Thug Inc., then Sharp re-enters for a cross armbreaker...but KaSt counters by locking his fingers, reducing the pressure. Sharp repeatedly runs KaSt's arm into the buckles, sets up a suplex...but KaSt fights out and hits a Northern Lights suplex! He can't quite manage the rest of the Six-Sic-Six, so he sends Sharp into the ropes, and they meet mid-ring with mutual clotheslines! Race To Tag time, again...

...tags on both ends! Ian hits the ring and cleans house, clotheslining both opponents and then clotheslining Sharp over the top. KaSt is right out to deal with Sharp, leaving the former Double Negative teammates to battle. Whip into the corner is reversed and Almighty leaps in with the corner splash...nobody home as Ian avoids it! Storm nails Almighty with the John Wu Dropkick, sending him crashing backwards into the turnbuckles, then hooks him in the Thunderstorm...cobra clutch, drops him into a backbreaker, then Flatlines him backwards to the mat! That'll do it, ref.

WINNERS: OuTtKaSt & Ian Storm

Outside the ring, KaSt goes for a chair, but Sharp superkicks it back into his face, then jumps into the ring to surprise Storm with another superkick. Heel beatdown results with all four men brawling around the ring, and KaSt Russian legsweeps Almighty into the guardrail, with KaSt and Ian taking control of the fight as the show ends...

NEXT WEEK ON GCW TV: A huge tag team grudge match has been signed, as the Fourth Reich team of Nikki Strychnine and Kevin Sharp will take on Kory Twist and Jeremy! Will Twist finally be able to get his hands on the champion?

Also, a huge six-person tag team matchup has been signed, as Matt Sydal, Daizee Haze, and Rat Boy will go up against the Diabolic Khaos trio of Delirious, MsChif, and Jackal! After this week's incident, everyone will be looking for a fight next week!

On top of that, Makaze will be in action against Trainee #3...will the Wind Of Destruction blow down Team Trainee, or will the power of the "SSSSSNAP!" be too much for him?

The night kicked off with Rat Boy facing Cabal, who was accompanied by MsChif. Rat Boy tried entertaining his way out of a beating by his larger opponent with some magic tricks and joke-telling...but it was to no avail as MsChif repeatedly screamed at Cabal to stay focused. Cabal won the match with the Oblivion(cobra clutch slam)...but when MsChif stomped down Rat Boy after the match, Cabal refused to assist in the beating. Cabal actually stopped MsChif's assault, which brought out Delirious and Jackal to assist her! MsChif then officially kicked Cabal out of Diabolic Khaos, saying that he'd failed her for the last time!

Next up was Daizee Haze against Jackal(w/ MsChif). Sean Vincent was the referee for this one and hadn't forgotten about his past problems with Daizee, as he constantly slow-counted Daizee's pinfall attempts and quick-counted Jackal's. Finally MsChif got involved in the matchup, distracting Daizee long enough for Jackal to hit his turnbuckle-walk Tomakazi(Killswitch #2?) for the victory!

Vincent stuck around, as he was in action against Jynx...with Richard Head as the referee. Head not only called the match in favor of his mentor, but helped Vincent blatantly double-team Jynx! Jynx knocked out Head by accident with a flying knee in the corner, then kicked Vincent in the groin and hit a flying neckbreaker off the second turnbuckle...using Head's hand to count his own pinfall!

The Fourth Reich made its presence known, "paying tribute" to a deceased St. Louis police officer who they referred to as a "fellow fascist". However, Commissioner Keith Smith interrupted the promo, saying that while he suffered an arm injury in a backstage attack and Makaze had an injured ankle, the mask vs. career match would still take place! Pete's claims that the Reich members were in Bible class at the time of the attacks fell on deaf ears, needless to say.

In tag team action, two new duos locked up as Team Trainee faced Chris Hargas & David Cox. The experience factor seemed to show here, as Hargas and Cox were impressive in derailing the recent run of success by the trainees. Hargas pinned Trainee #3 after a spike piledriver to finish the match.

In the last match before intermission, Chaz Wesson faced off with Big Bad Ben. While Ben seemed interested in goofing around at first(declaring the ring a "no chop zone"), it quickly boiled down to a battle of chops...but there would be no winner on this night as the match ended in a time-limit draw.

Jeremy faced a tough challenge as he took on the former Light Heavyweight Champion MsChif(w/ Delirious & Jackal)! It was a closely-fought contest, despite Jeremy not wanting to use his trademark chops on a female opponent! Things got chaotic at ringside as MsChif hit Jeremy with the Desecrator, but Cabal showed up to bust up the matchup! Delirious and Jackal attacked the big man and Jeremy took the opportunity to plant MsChif with the Lightfoot Driver(sitout Tombstone variation), but with the referee's attention elsewhere, Delirious blasted Jeremy in the back of the head with a dropkick off the top rope! Delirious put MsChif on top and the referee turned around to count three! Post-match, Jeremy warned MsChif that when they met in the ring again, it might just be "Lightfoot" she would encounter!

Kevin Sharp wasn't at the show, but the newest recruit to Thug Inc., D'Mon G, was! D'Mon teamed with Shawn Almighty on this night to take on OuTtKaSt and Ian Storm! D'Mon and Almighty were able to isolate Storm for most of the match and work over his back, but KaSt saved his partner from further abuse! With action all over the place, Storm tried to set up Almighty for the Thunderstorm, but got hit by a D'Mon superkick, putting him down for the count as Almighty got the pinfall!

It was mask vs. career as Makaze took on "The Human Wrecking Ball" Pete Madden(w/ Nikki Strychnine & Sindy). Keith Smith was the special referee despite his arm injury, and he recruited an old friend as the second referee on the outside: Chaz Wesson! Madden was quick to target Makaze's injury, but the Wind Of Destruction fought hard to keep his mask, landing the Osaka Jam from the top rope! However, the Reich ran interference and Sindy hit Makaze with her boot...but Makaze still kicked out of the pin! Makaze tried to finish off Madden with a figure-four leglock, but as Sindy distracted the referee, Strychnine entered the ring and turned the hold over...and Makaze was forced to tap out! Madden and Sindy personally removed Makaze's mask, though Keith covered up his face!

Madden was intent on delivering more punishment with a steel chair, but as Keith covered up Makaze, Chaz jumped in to cover the already-wounded Smith! Kory Twist ran in, only to quickly get beaten down by the Reich. DINGO entered the fray with steel chair in hand, swung at the Reich...but accidentally connected with Twist! DINGO wound up with the chair again, swung, and...DELIBERATELY hit Twist! In a total shocker, it looks like the newest member of the Fourth Reich is none other than DINGO! Twist wasn't down for good, though, as he told the Reich to bring it on...and to make sure there would be no excuses, he wanted the main event to be no-countout and no-DQ!

DINGO was in action after this, as he was accompanied by Pete Madden for his match with Delirious(w/ MsChif). These two have had some classic encounters, but DINGO repeatedly ducked out of the ring in the early going, frustrating Delirious. The battle swung back and forth as the two turned things up a notch, but in the end Delirious fought out of a superplex attempt and hit the Shadows Over Hell splash to the back of DINGO to gain the victory!

Finally, it was time for the main event as Nikki Strychnine(w/ Madden, DINGO, & Sindy) defended the GCW Heavyweight Title against Kory Twist. It turned into a fight right away as Nikki was more than ready to take advantage of the no-holds-barred environment, with all three other members of the Reich lurking on the outside...but Twist was fired up and simply got up and wanted more each time Nikki dished out punishment! The battle spilled out of the ring where Twist had to deal with a three-on-one situation, and he ended up bloodied after getting rammed into the ring bell! The brawl ended up in the audience, but Twist managed to suplex DINGO and slam Madden on the floor, then throw them into the wall of the Wild Acres Gym! Back at ringside, the numbers game seemed to be too much as DINGO and Madden held Twist on the guardrail for Nikki's guillotine legdrop off the ring apron!

Back in the ring, Kory got the better of a desperation exchange of blows, then hit the Fate Factor out of nowhere...but Strychnine kicked out of the pin attempt! A well-placed low blow turned the tide and Nikki set up and executed the Lethal Injection...and Twist kicked out of Nikki's pin attempt! Frustrated, Nikki went for Toxic Salvation, but Twist fought out of the move and blasted Nikki with repeated fists, leaving him hanging upside-down from the turnbuckle! Twist put a steel chair in front of Nikki's face, knocked DINGO and Madden off the apron...and then climbed the far opposite set of turnbuckles. Twist then hopped from the turnbuckle to the top rope, springboarding into a somersaulting Van Terminator to dropkick the chair into Strychnine's face! After that amazing maneuver, Twist knocked down the Reich members one last time, dragged Nikki out of the corner, and covered him for the one...two...three! Kory Twist is the new GCW Heavyweight Champion!

The Fourth Reich helped their beaten leader back to the dressing room as the rest of the roster filled the ring to congratulate the new titleholder. Twist said that he'd been in the business for five years and was on the verge of giving it up when the Gateway Challenge came about last May...and GCW gave him the hope and the faith that he had something to offer the wrestling business. Now, nine months after that fateful night, the long road had come to an end...and Kory Twist is on top of the Midwest wrestling world!

You know how I feel about Kory Twist.

Next up.....Nikki vs MsChif Part II which hopefully begins a few weekends in a row when I can actually get to some shows. Unless I skip DeSoto and go to the IWA-MS show that night. TLC with Matt and Delirious tagging might be too good to miss. But then again since I've been out of the loop with GCW the last couple months, maybe I'd better not skip .....

Whatever you feel about Twist, he was waaaaay over in Overland on Friday night, and on top of that DINGO got a ton of heel heat right away for turning on him. It's a pretty safe bet that a lot of the people were there to see him win the title.

Oh, forgot about posting the TV recap here...

-----

GCW TV Report 2/7/04

(Note: This show was taped prior to the events of last night.)

The Grand Poobah and Coach Chuck Farley(once again filling in for Tommy Jeans) hype the day's show, featuring a huge tag team main event of Kory Twist & Jeremy vs. Nikki Strychnine & Pete Madden! But first...

Matt Sydal, Daizee Haze, & Rat Boy vs. Delirious, MsChif, & Jackal(w/ Cabal)

Things broke loose with these six last week, time to settle some issues.

Rat Boy starts out with MsChif, with Rat Boy actually getting the better of things by taking MsChif down with a waistlock and then coming off the ropes with a major spear. Next it's Matt and Jackal's turns, as they exchange some holds ending with an armdrag by Matt, and finally it's Daizee and Delirious. Delirious controls with an armhold and single-leg trips her, but Daizee reverses out of the predicament. Delirious reverses in kind into an armdrag and crucifixes Daizee to the mat for twooooo. Tilt-a-whirl attempt by Delirious ends in an armdrag by Daizee, then a clothesline, then a rana!

Now a rematch from last week as Jackal and Rat Boy tag in, but this time Jackal escapes the powerbomb setup and takes Rat Boy down for a series of double-stomps followed by a senton! Rat Boy ends up isolated on the Diabolic Khaos side of the ring and is stomped down by all three opponents! MsChif tags in for some abuse and comes off the second rope with a springboard cross-bodyblock, but Rat Boy rolls through it for a surprise two-count. He's still in the wrong part of town though as the abuse continues, with referee Hunter Johnston keeping Matt and Daizee in their corner.

Rat Boy manages a sunset flip on Delirious for another two-count, but gets clotheslined down in short order. Delirious whips Rat Boy into the ropes, but Rat Boy reverses and leaves his feet for a major spinning heel kick! Race to tag time, MsChif tags in...Matt tags in!

Matt cleans house...dropkick for MsChif, Final Cut legdrop for Delirious, powerbomb for Jackal...or not, as Jackal slips out of that predicament and plants Matt with the Killswitch #2(turnbuckle-walk Tomakazi)! Daizee enters the fray and hits the Daizee Cutter on Jackal out of the wheelbarrow position, but takes an In-Vitro Fertilization(powerbomb-into-Diamond Cutter) from Delirious! Rat Boy German suplexes Delirious, but then MsChif hits Rat Boy with the Gateway To Annihilation, with Matt breaking up the pin attempt. Whew. Coach says that "some Internet geek" will be doing the blow-by-blow of this so he won't bother...um, thanks, I think.

Matt corners MsChif and tries a hiptoss, but she counters into the bodyscissors/wheelbarrow position. However, Matt blocks that, and Daizee comes off the top with a legdrop to the back of MsChif's head! That's an OLD-SCHOOL Danny Doring/Amish Roadkill Buggy Bang, folks! Matt covers MsChif and that's the ballgame.

WINNERS: Matt Sydal, Daizee Haze, & Rat Boy

Graphic hyping tonight's TV taping at Aggies' and next Saturday's Adults F'n Only show, also at Aggies' in St. Louis...check www.gatewaywrestling.com for more information!

Poobah brings out Kory Twist and Jeremy for some words on tonight's main event. Kory says that for three years, he and Jeremy have been up and down the roads as both friends and rivals, and tonight they'll be joining forces once again against the Fourth Reich. The "lean mean chopping machine"(as Twist calls him) promises that Pete Madden is one chop away from having his "wrecking ball shattered". That's about as straight-forward as it gets right there.

Trainee #3(w/ Trainee #10) vs. Makaze

Poobah and Coach note the odd resemblance that Trainees #3 & #10 have to Jim Aggie and Melvin Root, respectively...nonsense, Aggie and Root are referees, #3 and #10 are wrestlers. On top of that, Coach promises that Madden will "break that Wind...Of Destruction".

Anywho, they start some of that chain wrestling I've heard so much about, ending with Makaze hoisting up the trainee into a TKO. Early 2 1/2 count on that one. Makaze decides to take out Trainee #10 with a plancha for the hell of it, but this allows #3 to recover and gain the offensive advantage. Suplex, whip into the corner and a clothesline, then a bulldog...for two. However, the ensuing headlock is quickly countered by Makaze into a drop toehold and modified STF. Makaze releases the hold, plants the trainee with a double-underhook DDT, and ends it quickly with the Osaka Jam legdrop off the top. 1-2-3.

WINNER: Makaze

One more hype graphic for the TV taping and Adults F'n Only...

Kory Twist & Jeremy (Lightfoot) vs. Nikki Strychnine(GCW Heavyweight & Light Heavyweight Champion) & "The Human Wrecking Ball" Pete Madden(w/ Sindy)

It looks like Pete's healed up well from that fireball from two weeks ago, though the incredulous looks may have to wait a few more weeks. Jeremy's been victimized by the Reich in a few recent editions of GCW TV, and the history between Twist & Strychnine is well-documented.

Jeremy and Madden start this one off, with Jeremy hitting two armdrags in a row. Pete staggers into the wrong corner, gets nailed by Twist, then tomahawk chopped by Jeremy. Tag to Twist who cleans house with a clothesline, armdrag, hiptoss, whip and powerslam, but Strychnine breaks up the pin attempt. Pete creates some separation with a jawbreaker and, now that his team's got the edge, Nikki tags in. Some choking ensues, as well as a double-underhook facebuster which may or may not have involved a thumb to the throat in the process. Whip and knee to the gut, and Nikki comes off the ropes...only to run into a backdrop!

Strychnine has had enough of THAT and tags in Madden, going so far as to pull Pete into the ring to take his place in the battle. Kory and Pete go at it, with Pete whipping Kory into the corner and Kory climbing the turnbuckles and backflipping off. Pete tries to climb the buckles as well, but gets cut off by Jeremy, and Twist and Jeremy hit a great powerbomb/clothesline off the top combo! Strychnine is in again to break up that pin cover by Twist.

Twist pummels Madden in the corner and tags Jeremy as Pete tries to seek refuge on the floor, but Kory holds off Nikki as Jeremy unleashes ten CHOPS in a row on Madden! OUCH. Back into the ring, Jeremy climbs the turnbuckles and launches a swanton bomb...nothing but mat. Pete tags out quickly and Nikki works over Jeremy in a rare showing of more traditional wrestling moves, a hiptoss and dropkick. The ensuing cover(done with a knee on the chest and giving the Fourth Reich salute) only gets a two-count though.

Jeremy gets beaten on by both Reich members, then Nikki sets up and executes the Toxic Salvation! Things are looking bad for Jeremy, but when Sindy tries to get involved, Makaze runs out to ringside to chase her away! Makaze chases Sindy clear out of the building and Madden tries to go after him, but Jeremy has tagged out and cuts off Pete on the floor with a clothesline! Jeremy ties up Madden in a figure-four outside the ring, and in the meantime Nikki's not quite clear on what's just happened. This presents a problem when he forgets that there's still a match going on...and the legal man is right behind him...and he turns around straight into the Fate Factor! Cover...one...two...THREE! Twist pins Strychnine!

WINNERS: Kory Twist & Jeremy

Not a good way to end the show for the Fourth Reich, as Pete's left hurting out on the floor from Jeremy's figure-four, Nikki ends up crawling back up the ramp("Hatred Crawling", according to Coach), and Twist and Jeremy celebrate in the ring...

Bump. :)

-----

Gateway Championship Wrestling has a new Heavyweight Champion, kicking off a new era in the promotion's history!

Last Friday night at the Wild Acres Gym in Overland, Missouri, Kory Twist ended the nine-month reign of Nikki Strychnine, finishing him off in spectacular fashion with a springboarding, somersaulting version of the Van Terminator! The new champion will be in the house this Saturday on GCW TV...

...but so will the Fourth Reich. The Reich made a few acquisitions last Friday...Pete Madden defeated Makaze to win his mask, and DINGO shocked everyone by turning his back on the fans to join the hate-driven group! You can be sure that the Fourth Reich will be out for payback in short order!

Speaking of DINGO, he'll be in action on GCW TV against Jynx...will we get an explanation for why DINGO joined the group that he had fought for so many months?

On top of that, an unusual new alliance was formed in Overland, as Cabal refused to take part in a beatdown on Rat Boy and was booted from Diabolic Khaos as a result. On GCW TV, Cabal and Rat Boy will team up for the very first time against two members of Diabolic Khaos: Former Light Heavyweight Champion MsChif and Jackal!

All of that and more will go down Saturday at noon on St. Louis Charter Channel 18 on GCW television!

Saturday will be a full day for GCW fans, as Saturday night at Aggies' on South Broadway in St. Louis, Missouri will be the 26th edition of "Adults F'N Only", subtitled "Valentine Violence"! Appropriately enough, we'll see two former "close acquaintances" go head-to-head on February 14th!

Nikki Strychnine may have lost the GCW Heavyweight gold, but he still has the Light Heavyweight Title...and MsChif wants it back! It took a Razor's Edge-style powerbomb through a table, and a Tombstone onto the remnants of said table, to put away MsChif in their previous encounter...and this time, it'll be a table match! Will MsChif regain the gold, or will the Fourth Reich maintain their grip on at least one GCW title belt?

Also, you'll see Reich member Pete Madden against OuTtKaSt! Daizee Haze, fed up with the recent stalking on the part of Trainee #3(aka Jim Aggie), will be facing the trainee one-on-one. Also, Sean Vincent and GCW Head Official Richard Head will be facing the Super Castaldis, as Vincent desperately tries to help his protege score an elusive win!

GCW TV Report 2/14/04

Welcome to GCW television! Your hosts are The Grand Poobah and...yes, Tommy Jeans has returned to his original spot alongside G.P. Tonight...we have a new GCW Heavyweight Champion as of last week in Overland, and he'll be in the house tonight...but he's got a bullseye on his back, as the Fourth Reich will be lurking around as well. Time for some action...

Cabal & Rat Boy vs. MsChif & Jackal

An unusual tag team combination was formed in Overland, as Cabal refuses to partake in a post-match beatdown on Rat Boy, resulting in the big man being turfed from Diabolic Khaos. Things may get settled here...stress on "may".

Anywho, Cabal and Rat Boy play rock-paper-scissors to decide who starts the match with Jackal...I couldn't quite see the result, but either way Rat Boy starts things off. Rat Boy mocks Jackal's, ahem, lesser stature by getting down on his knees to fight, but he pays for it as Jackal kicks him down and chokes him. This immediately results in Rat Boy getting trapped in the wrong corner and taking a massive beating from both Jackal and MsChif. MsChif plants Rat Boy with a DDT and then splashes him in the corner, then brings Jackal back in. Rat Boy reverses a whip and Jackal tries a cross-bodyblock, but Rat Boy makes the catch and hits the fallaway slam!

Jackal does his best to cut off the tag by grabbing a leg, but Rat Boy shows surprising ability by unleashing an enzuigiri! Tag to Cabal and, well, we have a slight size difference here. Cabal manhandles his former Nightbreed partner, but Jackal cuts that off with a kick to the nether regions. MsChif tags in and, with Jackal on all fours behind Cabal for a schoolboy trip, MsChif succeeds in taking the big man down with a cross-body off the top! Only a two-count, though.

Jackal double-stomps Cabal, keeps standing on Cabal's chest and does ANOTHER one, then does a senton to top it off, followed by a MsChif standing moonsault...for two. Cabal then decides he's had enough of that, as he gets his hands on MsChif in a big way and slams her face-first to the mat! Rat Boy tags in, but is far too excited about the prospect of a beaten opponent, and when he finally gets around to covering, he only gets two. Jackal incites Cabal into chasing him around the ring as Rat Boy tries a pumphandle slam on MsChif, but MsChif reverses from Rat Boy's shoulder into a DDT! Rat Boy manages to escape the first attempt at the Desecrator(leg-over-head-and-arm DDT variation), but MsChif gets it on the second try to finish him off. 1-2-3.

WINNERS: MsChif & Jackal

Hype graphic for February 28th in DeSoto, MO...

Tommy Jeans interviews the Fourth Reich, which has lost a belt but gained a mask(Makaze's, that is) and a new member, as DINGO now stands with the group. DINGO has some 'splaining to do, methinks. Pete complains that thanks to Twist's spectacular somersaulting Van Terminator in Overland, now Nikki looks pensive ALL THE TIME. Pete says that he IS the "tundra fox" and the master of strategy, so he takes Nikki over to a table featuring a Risk board game for the plan of action.

First off, DINGO goes from Australia through Japan(though Pete immediately deems Makaze a non-factor in future events). Then DINGO takes out Jynx(represented by an open-faced roast beef sandwich). Pete uses a green cannon to represent Kory Twist, but notes that Strychnine's got Jeremy, Chaz Wesson, and Big Bad Ben around him(Nikki, being the MVP of the Reich, being represented by a Brett Favre action figure placed in New Jersey). So Sindy(Lita action figure) runs interference along with Pete himself(represented by a vintage Tito Santana action figure, of course). Also, Pete uses pieces of chocolate placed in Africa to represent Kevin Sharp and Shawn Almighty, with a Reese's peanut butter cup for D'Mon G(the orange wrapper representing the orange jumpsuit that D'Mon's "been known to wear"). We may be getting some phone calls about this one, as Poobah might say.

As Pete munches on the food props, Nikki declares the plan insufficient, and he calls out Commissioner Keith Smith to demand his rematch for the title, TONIGHT. Keith, still sporting an arm sling due to previous indiscretions by the Reich, grants him the rematch, and there's our main event for today's GCW TV!

Jynx vs. DINGO(w/ Pete Madden)

Despite some audio issues at the start of this segment, the commentators still comment on the shocker of DINGO joining the Reich...I'm wondering about that one myself.

Either way, DINGO starts the match by...ducking out of the ring and stalling. I sense a change in ring style coming along with DINGO's new allegiances. Either way, DINGO takes his time getting back in, but it costs him as Jynx punts the middle rope on re-entry and wails away on him. Jynx then pounces on the still-hung-up DINGO with a flying elbow off the middle turnbuckle! Quick two-count from that.

DINGO rakes the eyes to put a stop to Jynx's advantage and pounds away on Jynx's back, then gives him a side backbreaker and stretches him over his knee...ouch. DINGO whips Jynx into the ropes, but Jynx evades him with a leapfrog and duckunder before connecting with a leg lariat! DINGO gets a shot in to cut off Jynx, but misses a flying dropkick into the corner, causing him to get hung upside-down momentarily as Jynx puts the boots to him!

Jynx hits a released German suplex and goes topside for the swanton bomb...hits it! But Pete Madden's got the referee tied up as Jynx has DINGO covered for the pin. Jynx takes issue with the officiating(as well as the outside involvement), but DINGO scrapes himself off the mat long enough to get a rollup pin(w/ handful of tights)...and DINGO's first outing as a Reich member is successful.

WINNER: DINGO

Hype graphic for 2/28 in DeSoto.

Nikki Strychnine(GCW Light Heavyweight Champion)(w/ Pete Madden, DINGO, & Sindy) vs. Kory Twist(GCW Heavyweight Champion)

It's a champion vs. champion battle on GCW TV, with the Heavyweight gold on the line...though Nikki doesn't care much for the LHW belt. He wants the big prize back around his waist for the fifth time...and Kory's first title defense will be a rough one.

Nikki's in no mood to talk and immediately takes Twist down with a single-leg takedown, then beats on him with fists before choking away. Neck twist segues into a neckbreaker, then a facelock which Nikki converts into kind of an inverted version of the Final Cut. In the background, the Reich is trying to encourage the fans to be silent(with the help of some "Please Remain Quiet" signs).

Nikki chokes Kory on the ropes, allowing the Reich to get some shots in while the ref pulls Nikki off. Nikki suplexes Twist and steps up the violence by choking Twist with his belt, then snapmaring him with it. DDT scores the first near-fall of the match for Strychnine. Twist fights back and whips Nikki into a major powerslam, but Pete's got the referee occupied again. Nikki fights back, but on a whip into the corner Twist runs up the buckles, backflips over the incoming Strychnine, then runs to the opposite turnbuckles and up into a corkscrew moonsault! Cover, but DINGO pulls Twist's foot at the last second to break up the pin.

With the referee's attention all over the place, Nikki is able to sneak in a low blow, then whips Twist into a Toxic Shock! Twist rolls toward the corner, where Pete rakes the back for the hell of it. However, Twist fights off Madden, and while Nikki's having a discussion with the referee in the corner, Twist gets a spinning sunset flip pin attempt...for two. Twist rallies by pummeling Nikki in the corner, adding a shot for the interfering Madden as well, then monkeyflipping Nikki across the ring! Cover...for two.

Twist snapmares Nikki out of the corner then hits the half-twist jumping necksnap for two. Chinlock, but Strychnine rakes the eyes to break it up. Pete gets involved again, allowing Nikki to hit a modified bulldog...for two. Pete ups the violence ante by bringing a chair in, and, as Strychnine has a conference with the ref, fisherman busters Twist onto the chair! Finally, Commissioner Keith has had enough and comes out to put a stop to all of this interference!

The focus ends up outside the ring, as Keith ends up slugging both Madden and DINGO with his one good arm...but gets chaired in the midsection by Madden. Enter Chaz Wesson, who sledgehammers DINGO and chases Madden around the ring, with Pete briefly passing through the ring to get away from Chaz! This briefly distracts Nikki from his attempts to finish off the champion, and a brief distraction is all it takes, as Twist surprises Strychnine with the Fate Factor out of nowhere...1...2...3!

WINNER(and still GCW Heavyweight Champion): Kory Twist

Twist stands alone in the ring, holding the chair to keep the Reich at bay, and he leaves ringside with his belt intact along with the former Old School Warriors...that's gonna do it for GCW TV today, see ya tonight at Aggies'!

NEXT WEEK ON GCW TV:

-A big grudge match between former tag team partners as Ian Storm faces Shawn Almighty!

-Sean Vincent and Richard Head, still seeking that first tag team win, go up against the new duo of Chris Hargas & David Cox!

BUMP because this thread is getting way too low on the board and I'm a bastard who wants to keep it in view...and because GCW's in Cape Girardeau this weekend and I don't know a whole heck of a lot about the card.

We have the previously-announced lineup, but I don't know if Makaze will be there unmasked, if Kory Twist will be defending the GCW Heavyweight Title, or what. I heard that Madman Pondo MIGHT be there, but I hate to throw it out there without confirmation...especially since Pondo was heavily advertised for a previous Cape show and he no-showed.

Should be a good show, provided my car passes its biggest test to date and makes it two hours down to Cape and two hours back...

Ugh, I did forget to post those results...

I'm not good with music recognition unfortunately, so I couldn't tell you the exact name of Delirious' entrance theme... :P

-----

Adults F'n Only 26: Valentine Violence

The night kicked off with Trainees #11 & #14 taking on the Super Castaldis...but Sean Vincent and Richard Head protested the match, claiming that THEY had requested the match with the Castaldis. Commissioner Keith Smith told them not to worry, they had a different match scheduled for later in the night..."card subject to change" and all that. The trainees' first tag team outing was successful, as Trainee #14 floored one of the Castaldis with a springboard clothesline, then Trainee #11 slammed the other Castaldi on top of his partner and covered both for the pin!

Next up was a battle of former tag team partners as Cabal faced Jackal. Jackal tried to work on Cabal's leg to keep him down on the mat, but the masked man's sheer size was too much to overcome and Jackal fell victim to the Oblivion cobra clutch slam! Post-match Delirious ran in to attack Cabal, but Cabal fought off both Delirious and Jackal!

Ian Storm faced Trainee #10, and though Ian seemingly took the trainee lightly at first, #10 took the fight to him. After a competitive match, Ian hit the infamous John Wu Dropkick and locked up the trainee in the Toolbox for the submission victory!

Next up was what Big Bad Ben referred to as a "Stalker Match" as Daizee Haze faced Trainee #3(aka Jim Aggie)...but Aggie wasn't looking for a fight, as he entered the ring in a suit jacket and tie! His partner Melvin Root brought in a serving tray which Aggie used to mix some drinks...but Aggie spilled the drink on Daizee while trying to make a toast. Daizee threw her drink in Aggie's face and burned his eyes, but she sprayed his eyes out with water to help him...only to find him far too indebted to her for "saving his life". The fight was on, though Aggie seemed more interested in getting up close and personal in a different way. In the end, Daizee got the pin with a rana...a position Aggie seemed to enjoy far, far too much.

Next up was Sean Vincent and Richard Head...but Coach Chuck Farley, tired of Vincent's big mouth, told him off and "fired" him in dramatic fashion! Coach said that he knew the opponents for the night...and Chaz Wesson made his entrance. Vincent said that Wesson didn't have a partner for the night, but he was dead wrong on that...and Keith Smith made his way to the ring, dressed for competition! The Old School Warriors were reunited! In Keith's first match in about a year and a half, he looked to be in fighting shape as he and Chaz dished out a serious beating on Vincent and Head, with Coach cheering them on from ringside! Head fell victim to Wesson's Mullet Cutter and Chaz got the pin...Coach had "gotten the band back together"!

After intermission, Delirious(w/ MsChif) took on Shawn Almighty. Almighty showed that he was more than capable of competing on Delirious' level, as he avoided Delirious' first attempt at Shadows Over Hell. However, the second attempt found its mark, allowing the pride of Dante's Inferno to pick up the victory!

With Commissioner Keith Smith banning the rest of the Fourth Reich from ringside, Pete Madden had to face OuTtKaSt one-on-one. Pete tried to target KaSt's recently-injured knee, but KaSt fought back and kept him from exploiting the weakness. Madden tried to finish off KaSt with the dreaded iron claw, but KaSt turned the tables on him, blocking the move and using his own clawhold to put him down to the mat for a three-count! Madden was ****** and demanded a rematch at the next Adults F'n Only show on March 12th, but it would be a Milwaukee Street Fight where the fans would pick the implements of destruction! KaSt wasted no time accepting the match!

Next up was scheduled to be a "Dingo Hater" rematch between DINGO and Rat Boy...but Ben surprised Dingo by making it a three-way match, bringing out none other than Madman Pondo! This one was as wild, hardcore, and bloody as you'd expect, as the three waged war all over Aggies'! Chairs, stop signs, cheese graters...you name it, they probably used it. The battle spilled over the guardrail, where chairs went flying and Rat Boy hit a Dolphin Dive off the bleachers onto DINGO! Then Pondo buried both opponents under chairs and dove off the bleachers onto them! Back in the ring, Rat Boy incredibly kicked out after DINGO hit a chairsault. However, the punishment of the match had taken its toll on Rat Boy...DINGO tried a chairsault on Pondo but Pondo raised his knees to block the move. Stunned, DINGO ended up falling on top of a dazed Rat Boy and the referee counted a pinfall! DINGO was the victor in this bloodbath!

In a best-of-three-tables match for the Light Heavyweight Title, Nikki Strychnine defended against MsChif in a rematch from Challenge Of Champions III. Madden interfered in this one early and often, with Jackal getting involved as well. Madden tried to moonsault MsChif through a table, but MsChif fought away from Nikki and put HIM on the table, and Madden ended up crashing down onto his own Fourth Reich partner! Nikki had gone through one table!

Keith banned the Reich from ringside again after the interference, amidst protests from Pete Madden as to whether Keith was going to be a wrestler or a commissioner. Pete and Sindy ended up re-entering the building by getting tickets, and they rooted for their leader as he spiked MsChif through a table from the ring steps, evening the score! However, Pete couldn't keep from getting involved, as he ended up being the difference-maker...he and Nikki dropped MsChif through a table with a double face-first suplex, giving Strychnine the win!

Keith Smith made another appearance, saying that Nikki may have won the match, but due to the blatant interference, he was stripped of the Light Heavyweight Title! Keith said that a tournament would be held to determine a new champion, but Madden was furious over Smith's decision-making, saying that he himself would make a better commissioner! Big Bad Ben decided that at the next Overland show on March 26th, it would be Keith Smith vs. Pete Madden, with the winner to be the GCW Commissioner!

Finally, the GCW Heavyweight Title was up for grabs as Kory Twist defended the gold against former champion Kevin Sharp, who was accompanied by Shawn Almighty! Twist used his agility to outmaneuver Sharp, but the match's momentum swung back and forth...until Twist kicked out of Sharp's Makeover finisher! Sharp called for Almighty to interfere, but Twist reversed a whip and Almighty accidentally hit Sharp with a chair! Twist hit the Fate Factor and got the pin to retain his title!

Post-match, Strychnine and Madden ran in to attack Twist, but it turned into a three-way fight between Twist, Thug Inc., and the Fourth Reich! Security and other wrestlers piled in to get involved, and the show ended with a pull-apart between Twist and Sharp! It looks like that issue isn't over yet...

GCW TV Report 2/21/04

GCW TV is on the air! Your hosts are The Grand Poobah and Tommy Jeans, and last week's show ended in a chaotic situation involving the Fourth Reich, Kory Twist, Commissioner Keith Smith, and Chaz Wesson. So this week, our main event will be Wesson taking on the Reich's Pete Madden! And speaking of grudge matches...

Ian Storm vs. Shawn Almighty

These two entered GCW together as the tag team "Double Negative", but while Almighty was on hiatus from the promotion, Storm made a name for himself in singles competition. Upon Almighty's return, though, the team didn't click as well as it used to, and Kevin Sharp got in Almighty's ear and convinced him that it was Storm's fault and that "The Tool" was holding him back. Now Almighty, Sharp, and D'Mon G are known as "Thug Inc.". Almighty shows no lack of confidence in his entrance, hanging his headband on the video camera and checking out his reflection in the lens.

Poobah shills the rest of the card, with Sean Vincent and Richard Head desperately seeking win numero uno on TV against Chris Hargas and David Cox, plus Jeremy in action. Almighty starts things off fast by kneeing Storm in the gut on the opening lockup, whipping him into the corner and following him in with a clothesline, then coming off the ropes with a killer bulldog. Off the ropes, Almighty hits the Shawnton(running swanton bomb off the mat), but decides he'd rather mouth off to the fans and pose on the turnbuckles than go for the pin. Ian is able to recover from the early onslaught, and when Almighty turns around, he runs right into the John Wu Dropkick!

Ian forearms Almighty back into the corner, sets him up in "Shattered Dreams" position, then goes out to the ring apron and slingshots in with a modified bulldog! Two-count from that. Backslide by Ian gets another two-count. Now you're gonna see a Perfectplex, but THAT only gets two. Ian whips Almighty into the ropes and puts his head down for a backdrop, but Almighty comes off the ropes, hooks the head, and DDTs him to the mat in one fluid motion!

Almighty sets up Storm in the corner, hits a standing big splash, then follows up with a split-legged moonsault! Cover...gets two. Whip, Ian reverses, tries a hiptoss, but Almighty lands on his feet and hits a Diamond Cutter! Cover...for two. At this point the newest member of Thug Inc., D'Mon G, makes his way to ringside, carrying a 2x4 and thoughtfully munching on some peanut butter cups...I guess showing what he thought of Pete Madden's little dig in last week's promo.

Almighty ties up Storm with an armwringer and unloads with the kicks, but Storm ducks one at the right time, leaving Almighty in pumphandle position. However, Ian hooks both arms through Almighty's own legs, then flips him completely up and over into the Ionosphere! Almighty drags himself up, using the referee to do so, and as the official is otherwise occupied, D'Mon hits the ring and blasts Storm twice with the 2x4! The fans call out "HOOOOO!" in response, but in the meantime Almighty has scraped himself up off the mat. Up to the top for the mega-hangtime frog splash, and that's enough for the pinfall.

WINNER: Shawn Almighty

Graphic hyping GCW's upcoming show in DeSoto on the 28th.

"The Icon" Chris Hargas & David Cox vs. Sean Vincent & Richard Head(w/ Coach Chuck Farley)

This was taped prior to last week's blowup between Vincent and Coach, as you might have guessed. Coach leads his charges to the ring, but they shove him out of the way, intent on getting this started and making an example out of the newbie opposition.

Vincent decides that, to give Head some on-the-job training, Head should start against Chris Hargas. Okay. Head tries to go on the attack right away, but gets thrown across the ring with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. So much for that tactic. Head immediately tags out, so it's Doogie's turn. Vincent maneuvers into a waistlock, which he turns into a nice released German suplex! Vincent poses over his fallen opposition, removing his shirt(to the disgust of the ringside fans), then tags Head in right away. I sense a distinct lack of continuity on the part of this tag team.

Anywho, Head immediately rolls Hargas over and covers...but only gets two. Head tries to capitalize, but out of nowhere Hargas picks him up and plants him with a spinebuster! Cox, having had a slow night, now gets involved in the action, as Hargas lifts Head up on his shoulders and Cox comes off the top with a clothesline, the classic Doomsday Device! Hargas merely has to put a foot on Head's chest to score the win after that, as Vincent seems like he doesn't want to bother with a save.

WINNERS: Chris Hargas & David Cox

Post-match, Coach checks on Dick...er, Richard...but Vincent wants to leave him lying in the ring, and it ends in a heated discussion and Vincent walking away from both his tag team partner and his manager...

Graphic hyping DeSoto...followed by a backstage vignette from OuTtKaSt. KaSt says that everyone underestimated him, and even when he won the GCW Light Heavyweight Title, people said it was only because of the Ministry Of Hate's interference. KaSt says that now he has no backup and fights alone, and he vows to regain the Light Heavyweight Title and prove everyone wrong once and for all.

Jackal vs. Jeremy Lightfoot

After a recent loss to MsChif, Jeremy decided that he had to bring out a bit of his past in order to regain some killer instinct, and thus the "Lightfoot" part of him has seemingly resurfaced.

They lock up right away, with Jeremy overpowering Jackal with a hiptoss. Jeremy throws Jackal rather painfully into the corner, leaving him straddling the middle turnbuckle, and the Eagle's Wing(slingshot Blockbuster from the apron) quickly follows! Jeremy chops away and then whips Jackal into the corner and tries to follow up, but Jackal pulls himself up using the top rope and boosts himself into a rana! Nice move. Jeremy gets back up, but while he's on one knee Jackal uses the knee as a stepping stone for a running Blockbuster neckbreaker! Quick cover...for two.

Jeremy unleashes the chops, then presses Jackal over his head...then drops him down onto his shoulder and hits one of his deadliest Lightfoot Driver variations, the sitout Tombstone! No one's getting up from that, Monsoon...

WINNER: Jeremy Lightfoot

One more DeSoto hype graphic...

Chaz Wesson vs. "The Human Wrecking Ball" Pete Madden(w/ Nikki Strychnine, DINGO, & Sindy)

I sense a slight imbalance in the numbers game here. Chaz came out to even things up last week when the Reich was interfering in Nikki Strychnine's title rematch against new champ Kory Twist, leading to Twist picking up the victory...and now Madden wants revenge.

Madden flashes the gesture of the CLAWWWWW to the camera pre-match, then shows his contempt for the fan response by standing on the outside while DINGO covers his ears so he can't hear the boos. On top of everything else going on at ringside, Strychnine ousts Poobah from his commentary position, leaving us with a slightly biased broadcast team for our main event.

Oh yeah, wrestling match, right. Lockup is broken by Pete raking the eyes right off the bat, then chopping Wesson. Wesson is like "excuse me, what was it you just did?" and Pete is like "oh crap..." and begs off, then ducks out of the ring completely for a time-out. Once Pete's strategy session(*snicker*) on the floor is done, he re-enters the fray.

Pete grabs a headlock but gets pushed off into the ropes, and after some criss-crossing Chaz tries a leapfrog. Not enough clearance, though, as Pete catches him in the "lower abdomen" with his head, then follows up with a slightly more deliberate-looking headbutt to that area. Pete tries to work on a game plan, elbowdropping Wesson's leg and trying to keep him grounded, but Chaz headscissors out of the predicament. Whip and Best Dropkick In The Midwest gets the match's first two-count. Whip and elbow, and some nervous tic in Pete seems to be causing him to keep spontaneously giving the Fourth Reich salute even while flat on his back. He should get some medication for that.

Wesson goes topside, pokes DINGO in the eyes to cut off his attempt at interference, and hits the Steamboat Press...for two. Some choking with the assistance of the top rope, and now it's time to serve up the CHOPS. Strychnine complains about the alleged narrowness of Wesson's repertoire, saying that those chops are "about as effective as the Maginot Line". Um, could some history expert clear that one up for me? Pete staggers out of the corner and Flair Flops to the mat. Chaz keeps up the pressure with a suplex and headbutt, then locks on the Sharpshooter! DINGO is quickly in to break that up with a well-placed boot, and apparently our official Hunter Johnston has yet to learn that little lesson about disqualifications, so the match continues.

Pete calls out "Marv Albert time!" and bites Wesson's back...um, I'm gonna leave that one alone. Suplex with floatover gets two. Pete backs Chaz into the corner and delivers some fists to the midsection. Headbutt...whoops, looks like Pete felt that one a little more than Chaz did...so Pete tries ANOTHER headbutt and ends up knocking himself silly...and with Pete down, Chaz flops forward and Pete takes another low blow. Ouch.

Pete gets back up, only to Flair Flop back down again...and Chaz tries to set up for the Pedigree. Pete backdrops Chaz to counter, then whips him into the ropes...into the IRON CLAWWWWW! Pete is practically frothing at the mouth Baron Von Raschke style, as he puts on the pressure, but Wesson fights out of the hold and CHOPS him. So much for that(again).

Slam and kneedrop(and Pete's still giving the Reich salute), but Pete low-blows Chaz to halt the momentum right there. Pete dumps Chaz out of the ring, where Sindy and DINGO are only too happy to dish out some abuse. Back into the ring, Madden plants Wesson with a DDT, then has a discussion with the referee...ending in Pete giving the ref a jawbreaker! Well, so much for the actual-match portion of the program...the Reich beats down Wesson, who fights back, but Jeremy is quickly in to help out!

Jeremy chops away on Madden as Nikki abandons his commentary position(with Poobah quickly returning) to join the fight. Next in is Kory Twist and it's a six-way brawl all over the place! Wesson hooks DINGO in a Sharpshooter out on the floor, then gets him back in the ring and press-slams him right back out over the top!

Chairs start flying, with Jeremy hitting Madden with one...but DINGO gets a hold of his own chair and delivers a SICK chairshot right to Wesson's head! Then another for Jeremy! Things are chaotic as we go off the air...but for now, the Fourth Reich is standing tall...

Oh yeah...

WINNER: None(no contest)

GCW February Friction

Saturday, February 21st at the A.C. Brase Arena in Cape Girardeau, MO

The show opened with Big Bad Ben telling the fans in attendance that he was pulling himself out of his match with GCW Champion Kory Twist due to illness, not wanting to give the fans less than 100%. Then Ben trashed DINGO a bit for joining the Fourth Reich, which brought out DINGO for a rather heated discussion about that issue. DINGO said he had an easy night ahead as he was scheduled to face Ninja, but Commissioner Keith Smith reminded DINGO of the little "card subject to change" clause and said that DINGO would instead be facing...Madman Pondo! Pondo himself made an appearance at this point, promising pain for DINGO later in the night! DINGO left the ring threatening Keith and saying that at least HE was wrestling tonight...

After this, Jynx came to the ring and said that his scheduled opponent hadn't made it to the arena, so he wanted to wrestle Ninja tonight. Keith, seemingly amused by Jynx's chutzpah in interrupting him, told Jynx not to worry, he would have a suitable opponent later.

The opening match featured Cape Girardeau's own Trainee #14 against "La Buena Castaldiette". The trainee made a good showing in her Cape debut, picking up the victory after a springboard clothesline!

In tag team action, the new duo of Cabal & Rat Boy faced Team Trainee. The trainees were able to isolate Rat Boy for a while, but had trouble dealing with Cabal...until Trainee #3 distracted the masked man with a lighter. When #3 put the lighter down on the mat, Cabal bent down to look at it, and Team Trainee planted him with a double DDT! A double clothesline took Cabal over the top rope and out of the match, and Trainee #10 pinned Rat Boy after the Royale With Cheese.

OuTtKaSt took on Jackal and seemed to have things well in hand, but Jackal managed to pinpoint his attack on KaSt's recently-injured knee. KaSt did his best to fight back and caught Jackal coming off the top rope, maneuvering him into a Case Study out of nowhere! However, KaSt went for one move too many and Jackal avoided KaSt's corkscrew moonsault. Jackal then hooked KaSt in a modified inverted STF and KaSt had no option left but to tap out, giving Jackal a huge victory!

Jeremy Lightfoot faced off against Chris Hargas...and Hargas' mocking of Jeremy's Native American heritage only served to fire him up, as he dished out the chops tonight. Jeremy got the three-count after a move where he picked up Hargas in belly-to-back suplex position, but flipped him forward face-first to the mat!

Jynx came to the ring not knowing who to expect for his opponent...but as it turned out, his opponent was none other than Killer Keith Smith himself! Jynx was immediately backpedalling, especially after trying one of his own chops(to little effect). Jynx got his shots in, but Keith chopped him down(a lot) and won with a fisherman buster into a cradle!

After intermission, Thug Inc. was in action as Kevin Sharp and Shawn Almighty took on Sean Vincent and Richard Head. Vincent and Head showed a bit more continuity than in recent weeks, as they were able to isolate Sharp for several minutes. However, the stereo Sexy Elbow/Diving Head-BUTT combo missed its mark and Sharp was able to tag in Almighty who cleaned house! Sharp took Dick, er, Richard out to the floor as Almighty and Vincent went at it...Vincent hit the Death Valley Driver on Almighty and climbed the ropes to attempt another big elbowdrop, but Sharp re-entered and powerbombed Vincent down to the mat! Sharp then catapulted Vincent into a superkick by Almighty, who got the pin on "Slim Sexy" to win the tag team clash!

In an intergender tag team matchup, it was Diabolic Khaos(Delirious & MsChif) against Ian Storm & Daizee Haze! These four know each other well, and it showed as the momentum swung back and forth over the course of the contest. After a hot, chaotic finish, the turning point came when MsChif dumped Daizee over the top rope, with Daizee hitting the timekeeper's table on the way down to the floor! With Daizee taken out of the match, Delirious was able to score with the Shadows Over Hell to the back of Storm and pick up the three-count.

The GCW Heavyweight Title was on the line as new champion Kory Twist defended against Chaz Wesson! Twist has been under fire since winning the gold, and tonight was no different as Chaz gave him one of his toughest fights to date. Twist narrowly escaped defeat by reaching the ropes after Wesson hit the Pedigree. Late in the match, Chaz surprisingly kicked out of a pin after Twist hit his finishing Fate Factor! After several more near-falls for both men, Twist was able to maneuver Wesson into a backslide and edge out the victory, hanging onto the gold! Twist and Chaz showed mutual respect for each other after the match, but I'm sure this won't be the last time we see these two lock up!

Finally, it was hardcore time as Madman Pondo faced off against DINGO! DINGO started off by mocking the special guest timekeeper, who was wheelchair-bound, proclaiming that we had a celebrity in our midst...the star of the next Superman movie. Ouch. Pondo went on the attack right from the get-go, catching DINGO off-guard and leaving him bloodied within the opening minutes of the match. Pondo, looking to make a splash in his return to Cape Girardeau, chased DINGO over the guardrail and to one side of the A.C. Brase Arena, where he set DINGO up on a table. Pondo then climbed up to the upper-deck walkway of the arena and crashed into DINGO with an elbowdrop from his perch, driving him through the table! Pondo got the win, making his successful return to Cape Girardeau on this night!

GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING: REMATCH

Saturday, February 28th at the Knights Of Columbus Hall in DeSoto, MO

Their previous clashes have been memorable, and they'll go at it again this Saturday night in DeSoto, Missouri!

Nikki Strychnine was the longest-reigning champion in GCW history, holding the belt for nine months. He has held the belt an unprecedented four times since first capturing the gold in October of 2001, and he carried the GCW Heavyweight Title and GCW Light Heavyweight Title simultaneously for three months. A case could easily be made that the "Ayatollah Of Ebola" was the most dominant competitor in GCW's history!

However, on the same night that Strychnine won his fourth title in May of 2003, a newcomer to the ranks made an impact. Kory Twist won over the hard-to-please GCW fanbase with his impressive showing in the "Gateway Challenge". The challenge was set up to give talent from other St. Louis-area promotions a chance to show what they were capable of...and it ended up with Twist earning a regular spot on the GCW roster!

Twist worked his way up the ladder and made his intentions crystal-clear...he wanted the gold. Strychnine tried to convince people that he wanted to recruit Twist for his stable, The Fourth Reich, but despite Nikki's constant "recruiting" efforts, Twist won a battle royal on GCW TV to become the #1 contender to the title!

The big title match took place on February 6th at the Wild Acres Gym in Overland, Missouri, and Twist had the odds stacked against him. Twist demanded a no-countout no-DQ match to make sure there would be no excuses(since Nikki had gotten himself counted out in a previous encounter). However, this meant that the Reich had free reign to interfere...Pete Madden, Sindy, and their REAL new recruit DINGO got involved in the match early and often.

However, Twist was not to be denied. Strychnine survived Twist's finishing Fate Factor and Twist survived Strychnine's Lethal Injection. In the end, Twist fought out of Nikki's Toxic Salvation and left him hanging upside-down in a corner. He then put a chair in front of his face and springboarded from the far opposite corner of the ring to deliver a somersaulting Van Terminator dropkick! After that spectacular move, Twist pinned Strychnine, capturing the GCW Heavyweight Title and ending the reign of terror!

On Saturday night in DeSoto, Strychnine gets a return match against Twist...and after their previous encounter, who knows what Strychnine will do in his effort to recapture the belt?

Also in DeSoto, Madman Pondo will once again compete in a GCW ring against one of GCW's "Old School Warriors", Chaz Wesson! Pondo's recent wars with DINGO have been as brutal and violent as you'd expect, and you can be sure that Pondo will use everything that's not nailed down(and maybe a few things that are) to achieve victory! Wesson, on the other hand, is fully capable of inflicting pain and punishment without weaponry...as the recipients of Chaz's knife-edge chops can attest to!

Here's the full card for Saturday's big show in DeSoto!

REMATCH for the GCW Heavyweight Title!

Kory Twist© vs. Nikki Strychnine

DeSoto Street Fight!

Madman Pondo vs. Chaz Wesson

GCW TV Report 2/28/04

Your hosts for GCW TV are Tommy Jeans & The Grand Poobah...this week, we will hopefully get things settled after the show-ending six-man brawl. Tommy Jeans, proclaiming himself a pillar of American journalism, says he has an interview lined up with the Fourth Reich.

Ian Storm vs. Jackal

Jackal's been a busy guy on GCW TV, taking on all sorts of opposition...Ian, for his part, is uncharacteristically cocky going into this match, as he lays on the top ropes while Jackal makes his entrance.

Anyways, the match kicks off with Jackal raking the eyes right off the bat, then dropkicking Storm in the knee to get him down on the mat. Legdrop and a running flip senton off the ropes gets a two-count. Jackal tries for another boot to the mush, but Ian blocks it and turns Jackal around into pumphandle position, perhaps looking to hit the Ionosphere. However, Jackal lands on his feet and gets away from Ian in more direct fashion with a back kick to the Universal Weak Point. Killswitch #2(turnbuckle-walk Tomakazi) is attempted, but Storm simply flings Jackal across the ring. Okay, Plan B time.

Storm shows his power with a major hiptoss and then a slam...then he picks up Jackal in wheelbarrow position and flips him completely backwards into a mid-air Edge-O-Matic! Nicely done. Cover...for two. Side suplex...for two. Some bootrakes follow, as Storm is again oddly overconfident in this matchup...next a side backbreaker where Storm bends Jackal rather painfully over his knee. Russian legsweep...for two. Whip into the turnbuckles, but when Ian tries to follow him in, Jackal pulls himself up into a rana, just like last week against Jeremy. Next he hits the running stepping-stone-off-the-knee Blockbuster!

Double-stomp, but Jackal remains standing on Storm's midsection, gives him ANOTHER double-stomp, then finishes with a jumping senton. Killswitch(original version, Sliced Bread #2) attempt, but Ian counters nicely by catching Jackal on his shoulder and snapping him down with a powerslam! Storm then hooks Jackal in the Toolbox and there's nothing to do from there except tap out.

WINNER: Ian Storm

Graphic for tonight's show in DeSoto, MO...check gatewaywrestling.com for more information!

Tommy Jeans stands ready for his interview with the Fourth Reich(all present and accounted for)...and his idea of "journalism" is to hand the microphone over to Strychnine and let him talk. Brilliant. Anywho, Nikki comments that the "GCW Allies" have aligned against the "Axis Of Hate", and they're all prepared. Pete Madden suggests a game plan, which he will detail using a Parcheesi board, a bottle of Elmer's Glue, and some cupcakes, but Nikki says there's no time for that(and besides, he already ate the cupcakes).

This whole pep rally is interrupted by our esteemed Commissioner Keith Smith, who gets right down to business: He's sick of the Reich and he's sick of them abusing his referees. So tonight, it'll be a six-man tag team match for the Reich against Kory Twist, Chaz Wesson, and Jeremy Lightfoot, and there'll be a special guest referee who the Reich won't be pushing around. Nikki screams that they'll take out any ref that Keith can put in front of them, but the ref is actually behind them...Big Bad Ben. I sense a slight amount of bias on the ref's part.

On top of that, Keith says that he'll be handcuffed to Sindy to ensure no interference. Pete wraps it up by quoting the guy from Raiders Of The Lost Ark who got his face melted: "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

Sean Vincent & Richard Head(w/ Coach Chuck Farley) vs. Cabal & Rat Boy

Cabal and Rat Boy are still working the kinks out of their communication, as they both try to hold the ropes open for each other to enter. Cabal finally decides to enter first, but Rat Boy ends up stuck in the ropes and Cabal has to pull him out. Vincent declares that Head CAN'T lose against "two retards".

Anywho, Vincent takes it upon himself to decide that Head will start the match against Rat Boy. Rat Boy starts with a headlock(complete with noogie), then turns it into a Bushwhacker-style battering ram into Cabal's boot, twice. Neckbreaker and Head's already in trouble, much to Vincent's disgust.

Cabal tags in and Head decides discretion is the better part of valor, running to tag Vincent in. Vincent is a bit taken aback, but prepares for battle. Vincent removes the shirt, stares down Cabal, slaps him in the face...and then runs to tag Head back in. Uh-oh, Head may be dead here. Now sufficiently fired up, Cabal physically drags the "Head Official" into the ring for some abuse. Big slam, then a backbreaker, and Cabal holds Head across the knee while Rat Boy goes aerial with a legdrop off the top! Nice combination move, and Cabal scores the pinfall just like that.

WINNERS: Cabal & Rat Boy

Coach checks on Head, but Vincent re-enters and ends up in another war of words with his manager...we'll see if we can clear this up in a second.

Rob Van Dam(with Bill Alfonso, with whistle) tells us how great GCW TV is.

Graphic hyping DeSoto TONIGHT!

Well, cooler heads have not yet prevailed, as Poobah attempts to get a word with the dysfunctional stable. Vincent yells about how he's a former two-time Light Heavyweight Champion and could have taken that belt from Nikki any time he wanted to...suuuuure. Coach has had enough, though, and grabs the mike. "SHUT YOUR DAMN PIEHOLE!" Coach is sick of Vincent's big mouth, sick of Vincent's "training methods" with his protege, and tells him to be a mentor and act like a professional instead of a "BITCH"! Coach then takes a walk as Vincent says he never needed him anyway...

Kory Twist(GCW Heavyweight Champion), Chaz Wesson, & Jeremy Lightfoot(w/ Commissioner Keith Smith) vs. Nikki Strychnine, Pete Madden, & DINGO(w/ Sindy) (Special Referee Big Bad Ben)

It takes some convincing before Keith can put the handcuffs on Sindy, as Tommy Jeans comments that he's had many "long, detailed dreams" involving Sindy and handcuffs...okay, that's enough of that. Ben prevents an opening cheapshot by DINGO, so we'll start off proper with DINGO and Chaz.

Test of strength...no, DINGO boots Chaz in the gut and hammers away...windup...no, Chaz clotheslines him down. Press slam...Nikki runs in, but gets press slammed as well. Madden runs in, comes off the ropes, and gets powerslammed. Cover...for two, as Ben is calling it down the middle at this point. The Reich bails for a conference on the floor to buy some time...

Back in, it's Chaz and DINGO again. Lockup...no, eye rake by DINGO. DINGO takes the advantage on Wesson and backs him up into the Reich's corner for a beating as Pete Madden tags in. Pete whips Chaz into the ropes and gets him in the CLAWWWWW, but Jeremy comes in and puts the claw on Madden! Then Nikki puts a clawhold on Jeremy, Twist puts the claw on Nikki, and DINGO puts the claw on Twist! Ben breaks it up, then puts the claw on Madden briefly for fun. Tremendous.

Anywho, things kinda break down at this point as Twist pummels Nikki in one corner and Jeremy does the same to Madden in the opposite corner. CHOP by Jeremy on Madden, then he settles into a chinlock as everyone remembers where their corners are. Scoop and slam, then Jeremy does a wardance around Madden while stomping him. That's original. Legdrop O' Doom, then tag to Kory Twist. One big fist and Madden Flair-Flops to the mat.

Madden sneaks in a low blow and tags Strychnine in, who beats on the champion in the corner, but Twist quickly turns things around, whips Nikki into the opposite corner, and backdrops him. Twisting elbowdrop and cover, but Madden breaks it up(followed by Ben warning him about interfering). Strychnine comes off the ropes and counters a second backdrop attempt with a sunset flip, but Ben takes his time making the count and Twist kicks out at zero. Again, I detect a distinct lack of impartiality on the part of Triple B here...

Twist decides to take out the leg and drops an elbow on it, then brings Chaz in to increase the damage. During this time, Keith stops by the commentary booth to note that he's got Sindy right where he wants her; Tommy Jeans politely asks if he can give the commissioner a break and be cuffed to Sindy instead. Okay. Anywho, Wesson is busy inflicting damage on Strychnine's leg, and when Ben heads off Madden from interfering, DINGO jumps in to break up the leghold. No matter, Wesson locks Strychnine in a Sharpshooter! Madden breaks it up, only to get wiped out by Twist! Ben confronts Twist and asks him to please leave the ring. HA!

Anywho, Strychnine finally turns things around and is able to back Wesson into the Reich corner again, with Madden entering the fray and throwing Chaz to the floor. However, Wesson reverses a whip into the guardrail and it's CHOP time(WHOO!). Things fall apart again here and Pete is the unfortunate recipient of a DOUBLE-CHOPPING by Chaz and Jeremy! Hope he wasn't getting too attached to the skin on his upper chest. Pete gets deposited back into the ring, at which point Ben, making the ten-count on Chaz, knocks him down in the process of raising his arm to count. Heh.

Madden's in bad shape and Chaz sets up and executes a superplex off the top turnbuckle! Figure-four follows, and when DINGO tries to save, Jeremy catches him in a Lightfoot Driver(Kryptonite Krunch) version and puts HIM in a figure-four. Then Nikki and Twist get into it and Twist puts NIKKI in a figure-four! With everyone neutralized, Ben checks on all three Reich members...but Chaz and Pete are legal and Pete ends up tapping out!

WINNERS: Kory Twist, Chaz Wesson, & Jeremy Lightfoot

Strychnine is pissed that the Reich lost the match, then takes a survey as to who actually submitted. Pete tries to play dumb, but once Nikki figures it out, he and DINGO get right in Madden's face. To finish off the humbling of the Reich, Keith handcuffs Sindy to the bottom ring rope, and the show fades out with Tommy Jeans demanding to get the handcuff keys to free her...

GCW Rematch, 2/28/04 from the Knights Of Columbus Hall in DeSoto, MO

The opening match featured Jynx facing Jackal, with Jynx coming out on top of the fast-paced contest after a swanton bomb.

Next up, ring announcer Adam Starr brought out GCW Champion Kory Twist for a special interview, but DINGO interrupted DINGO said he was sick of Twist getting all the attention and upset about the fact that Twist came out of nowhere to win the belt. DINGO got in Twist's face, but Commissioner Keith Smith broke up the war of words, noting to DINGO that the card is subject to change...

After that, Coach Chuck Farley brought out Chaz Wesson, stating that Chaz was ready for the DeSoto Street Fight but Madman Pondo was not in attendance. Coach issued an open challenge to anyone on the roster to face Wesson in the street fight, and OuTtKaSt stepped up to the plate to accept!

Sean Vincent brought out his protege Richard Head, saying that he should have an easy time against Trainee #10. Apparently Vincent has been subjecting his protege to some rather harsh "punishment" for losing, including making him shave his eyebrows! Head managed to get the advantage toward the end, lifting the trainee into a face-first powerbomb, but knocking down the referee in the process. Vincent entered the ring with chain in hand, but accidentally knocked out his own protege when #10 ducked out of the way! The trainee dropkicked Vincent out of the ring and got the pin on the "Head Official"! After the match, Vincent ignored the fact that he had cost his own man the match and yelled at him for losing!

Next up was Cabal and Rat Boy against the Super Castaldis. The new duo didn't have much trouble disposing of the "pride of Encinada", as Cabal pinned Castaldi I after holding the Castaldi across his knee as Rat Boy came off the top turnbuckle with the Dolphin Dive!

Trainee #3 faced a tough test as he squared off against Big Bad Ben. Ben goofed around in the early going, but the trainee wanted to make an impact and surprised Triple B with a flurry of offense! However, the SSSSSNAP was blocked by a kick to the "lower abdomen" by Ben, and Ben followed up with the chokeslam and powerbomb to get the victory!

The last match before intermission was Kevin Sharp facing Sean Vincent(w/ Richard Head). Vincent mouthed off early and often, which only served to fire up Sharp. To his credit, Vincent hung in there with the former GCW Heavyweight Champion, but after hitting the Death Valley Driver, Sharp moved out of the way of the "Sexy Elbow". Sharp then hooked VIncent in his new finishing hold(the cobra clutch/camel clutch combination) for the tapout victory! Sharp added a post-match spinebuster after encouragement from the ringside fans, and once Vincent scraped himself off the mat, he got in his protege's face about not helping him out...

After intermission, Chaz Wesson(w/ Coach) faced OuTtKaSt in the DeSoto Street Fight! Both men ended up bloody after this one, as KaSt used a barbed-wire kendo stick to his advantage...chairs, road signs, and chains(oh my) were all used in this one. After whipping KaSt up and over the guadrail, Chaz dived onto him with a plancha from the top rope! Once the war got back into the ring, Wesson set up two chairs and a road sign and executed a devastating Pedigree off the turnbuckles onto the setup, getting the pinfall after that! Both men got their props from the audience after that hard-hitting matchup!

DINGO(accompanied by Sindy) was set for an easy match against Ninja, but his actual opponent turned out to be Killer Keith Smith(accompanied by Coach Chuck Farley)! DINGO initially threatened to walk out rather than wrsetle, but Keith got him back in the ring and dispensed some "commissionary" justice! Keith tried for a pinfall with a rolling reverse cradle, but DINGO rolled through it, held the tights and the ropes, and got a tainted pinfall!

The fans didn't like how the match ended and voiced their displeasure, so Ben made another appearance and "played the owner card", ordering the match to be restarted! Smith took the fight to DINGO and targeted DINGO's leg, scoring a hard-fought victory with the figure-four leglock!

Next up was a three-way match with Ian Storm vs. MsChif(w/ Jackal) vs. Jeremy Lightfoot. The momentum swung back and forth at different points in this matchup, as it seemed like there was always someone to break up pinfalls after someone hit a big move. MsChif planted Ian Storm with the Desecrator and appeared to be setting up for Unhallowed Grace, but she forgot about Jeremy, who caught her in the Lightfoot Driver(sitout Tombstone version) to gain some redemption for his previous loss to MsChif in Overland!

Finally, it was time for the main even as Kory Twist defended the GCW Heavyweight Title against Nikki Strychnine(w/ Sindy). Strychnine said that he had been trying to recruit Twist for the Fourth Reich and that after he won his belt back, Twist would have to join him...and he even said that he'd never set foot in a GCW ring again if he lost to Twist! Nikki attacked right at the opening bell...and got crucifixed to the mat for a flash pinfall right out of the gate!

Strychnine was livid that he'd been embarrassed and said it could never happen again...and the match started right back up! The two went at it tooth and nail once again, but once again Twist proved to be the better man as he dropped Nikki with a fireman's carry into a Flapjack and pinned him one-two-three!

Strychnine AGAIN challenged Kory to continue the match, questioning his faith...and once again the battle resumed! Twist set up a splash off the top, but Sindy interjected herself into the match, shoving Twist off the top and all the way down to the floor where he crashed into the guardrail! Nikki worked over Twist with a chair and brutalized him on the timekeeper's table, but couldn't put him away...and Twist was able to catch Strychnine with the Fate Factor and pin him a third time! After the match, Nikki kept trying to attack the champion and kept getting slammed down and rolled up with the referee counting three more "pinfalls" in the process! Finally, Strychnine left the arena in defeat as Kory Twist celebrated his successful defense of the GCW Heavyweight Title!

GCW TV Report 3/6/04

GCW television is back on the air! Your hosts are The Grand Poobah and Tommy Jeans, and tonight's main event is a light heavyweight triple threat match between MsChif, Ian Storm, and Sean Vincent! To the ring, ladies and gents...

"The Icon" Chris Hargas & David Cox vs. D'Mon G & Shawn Almighty

Almighty, as is custom, hangs his headband on the aisleway cameraman's video camera and checks out his reflection. Tommy Jeans hypes the "struggle" that Thug Inc. has had against the "oppressive" GCW management, with Poobah even suggesting that Al Sharpton might stop by a GCW show at the rate they're going.

We kick things off with Almighty against Hargas, though Almighty seems more intent on winning a war of words with some ringside fans. Anywho, Hargas has his own words for D'Mon, but that gives Almighty an opening to attack. Whip into the corner followed up by a clothesline, then a quick tag to D'Mon who fires off the fists, then snapmares Hargas and hits a dropkick to the back. D'Mon then sends Hargas into the corner for another clothesline, but Hargas unleashes an overhead belly-to-belly suplex out of nowhere!

Almighty quickly busts up the ensuing pin attempt, which brings Cox into the fray. Whip and big boot, then a snap suplex...for two. D'Mon turns things around the not-so-conventional way with a quick low blow, then brings Almighty back into the action. Scoop, slam, and off the ropes with the Shawnton Bomb. Some posing for the fans, then a cover...for two and a half. Whip into the ropes is reversed by Cox, then Cox hits a clothesline. Cover, but D'Mon stops that in a hurry. Hargas now tags back in and goes all Benoit on us with some rolling German suplexes, but D'Mon breaks it up after two suplexes.

Hargas, unfazed, drops Almighty with a Rude Awakening, but D'Mon puts Almighty's foot on the ropes. While the ref is trying to keep order, Almighty low-blows Hargas, then tags in D'Mon. D'Mon comes off the ropes with a sliding single-leg trip sort of move, then hits a nice slingshot splash! Cover...for two.

Almighty tags in, double whip and double elbow. Hargas tries to fight back against Almighty, winning the war of fisticuffs, and he and Cox set up for the Doomsday Device...but D'Mon knocks Cox off the top rope with a chair! The ref tells D'Mon that it's not nice to do that, and in the meantime Almighty gets the chair and nails Hargas with it for good measure. Cover, 1-2-3.

WINNERS: D'Mon G & Shawn Almighty

Jeans celebrates it as a win for Black History Month(with Poobah bemoaning the phone calls they'll get as a result of Jeans' commentary), and Almighty retrieves his headband as he and D'Mon return to the dressing room victorious.

Graphic hyping the next TV taping, on Saturday, March 13th at Aggies' in St. Louis, 7:30 PM start time(doors open at 7).

Poobah brings out MsChif(accompanied by Jackal) for an interview...MsChif says she never should have lost the Light Heavyweight Title in the first place, as she had Nikki Strychnine beaten back at Challenge Of Champions 3 in November in the title vs. title match but referee Jim Tennings was out of position to count the fall. Even with that happening, it took the then-GCW Heavyweight Champion to beat her, and she vows to regain the belt, punctuating the promo with her trademark scream.

Rob Van Dam and Bill Alfonso talk to us.

Jackal vs. Jynx

Jynx, uncharacteristically fired up, jumps Jackal before the opening bell even sounds, leading to an on-the-mat tussle between the two. Jackal comes out on top of that and follows up with his running Blockbuster neckbreaker! Jackal then focuses his attack on Jynx's arm and hand, legdropping and stomping the arm and even biting the hand!

Jackal whips Jynx into the ropes, but Jynx reverses and connects with a jumping leg lariat. Whip into the buckles, but Jackal pulls himself up into a rana out of the corner! Cover...for two. Jackal goes back after Jynx's arm, banging it into the mat repeatedly and briefly locking on a cross-armbreaker. Jynx fights out of that predicament and hits a spinebuster out of nowhere, then goes topside to hit the swanton bomb on the stunned Jackal! That's the ballgame, fans.

WINNER: Jynx

Graphic hyping the next TV taping.

Ian Storm vs. MsChif vs. "Slim Sexy" Sean Vincent

...hold the phone! Thug Inc. is back out and Shawn Almighty has something to say. He seems to think that the spotlight should be on Thug Inc. and not the three in the ring, so he's gonna turn this "orgy" into a four-way match because the match "needs more color". Okay then. D'Mon, when asked for comment, simply asks "Where the white women?"

Sean Vincent grabs the microphone and declares that they didn't order any KFC or "dark meat". Ooh. Vincent complains about Almighty coming out with no shirt on and says that HE is the true "sexiest" in GCW, leading to an impromptu posedown between Almighty and Vincent. Vincent should get his ears checked, as the fan response clearly favors Almighty but he seems to think they're cheering for him. Vincent asks "Who's sexy?" and a few select fans call out "MsChif!...and out of nowhere Vincent clocks MsChif with the microphone! I guess that makes this...

Ian Storm vs. MsChif vs. "Slim Sexy" Sean Vincent vs. Shawn Almighty

They immediately pair off, Ian with Almighty and MsChif with Vincent. MsChif turns the tables on Vincent in a hurry by clotheslining him to the mat, then baseball sliding him as he seeks refuge on the floor. MsChif chops Vincent, but Vincent Stunguns her on the guardrail, and meanwhile back in the ring Ian has Almighty locked in a version of the dragon sleeper. Back on the outside, Vincent chairs MsChif, but tries a second swing and misses, hitting himself as the chair bounces off the ring rope! Almighty slips out of the ring as Ian tries to line him up for a John Wu dropkick, so MsChif re-enters to go after Storm. MsChif does the flying bodyscissors move, but Ian spikes her face-first to the mat!

Outside the ring, Vincent hiptosses Almighty on the concrete, but tries to follow up and takes a drop toehold that sends him crashing into the security guy's chair near the guardrail! Ian has MsChif grounded in the ring with a modified facelock, but on the outside Almighty sets up Vincent on the guardrail and channels RVD with a corkscrew legdrop off the apron to the back of the head!

MsChif escapes her in-ring predicament and maneuvers into a Darkness Embrace on Storm, but Almighty breaks that up once he sees what's going on. Clothesline sends Storm out to the floor, but MsChif charges at Almighty and comes up with a tilt-a-whirl DDT on him! D'Mon, getting bored on the outside, throws Vincent back into the ring, only to wishbone him on the ringpost...ouchie.

MsChif sends Almighty into the ropes, but Almighty comes flying off the ropes with a flying clothesline! Almighty tries to press the advantage but Ian re-enters to go after his former tag team partner. It all breaks down into a four-way fight, with the three heels beating down Storm in the corner. Almighty whips Vincent into a Vaderbomb-diving headbutt on Storm(who's slumped in the corner), but as Almighty and Vincent decide what to do next, MsChif decides for them with a double low blow! However, she gets caught in the middle of the Double Negative war and out of old instinct, they hit their chokeslam/back suplex combination move on her! This leads to a shoving match over "whose move that was", but when Vincent jaws at them, Storm and Almighty both nail him!

Ian and Almighty resume their war, with Ian catching Almighty with the Thunderstorm(cobra clutch/backbreaker/Flatliner) out of nowhere and then Vincent dropping Storm with his Death Valley Driver! Vincent goes topside, looking for the "Sexy Elbow", but MsChif sweeps the foot and he ends up crotched on the top turnbuckle...and MsChif pulls him down by the head and gives him a DDT with his fee still hung up on the top rope! Doogie is dead and MsChif pulls him to center ring for the academic pin.

WINNER: MsChif
