DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I remember that interview (the interview itself, before the Fatal Four Way elimination match before Armageddon, not the content) but I didn't take anything about divorcing Nancy out of it. From Google Groups... > >- Chris Benoit talks of his upcoming fatal fourway match tonight. All > >he's ever dreamed of is to become the #1 contender. He made > >sacrifices: his broken neck, his divorce, his kids who he rarely sees. > > Benoit got divorced from Woman? When did this happen? He means his first divorce; he married Woman not too long after. Mayda

Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I would also like to add that according to the live reports at 1wrestling.com, Big Show vs. Rey has been added to Backlash. Also they showed a promo saying "Mr. America" is on his way to the WWE.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I would also like to add that according to the live reports at 1wrestling.com, Big Show vs. Rey has been added to Backlash. Can this PPV suck anymore? Why not give Funaki a match on the card too?
Guest RedJed Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I would also like to add that according to the live reports at 1wrestling.com, Big Show vs. Rey has been added to Backlash. The fuck? Thats nothing we should see on ppv. Rey is just going full circle to doing stupid matches with big men. They must have done a ton of changing on the card this week since I think it was originally Rey/Tajiri v. Team Angle at Backlash. And now its Guererros v. Team Angle and Rey v. Show? Well maybe at least Rey will get put over by Albert a few times in the lead in, thats the least they could do since Albert squashed him a while back in what ended up being completely pointless shit. Bored 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I'm surprised no one has mentioned Kanyon getting squashed on is return to t.v. Hey so much for him getting pushed but hey a nice thought I guess.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted April 16, 2003 I think its just because it doesn't surprise anyone at this point. He was treated to look like a jobroni in that segment with Taker a few months ago too.

I am looking forward to Velocity (Shannon/Matt/Crash and Funaki, Team Angle, Kanyon vs Rhyno) more than Smackdown.
Bored 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2003 Who in the hell is Mr America. I don't know but the WWE sure is late to the party in cashing in on the war with this and the Steiner/Nowinksi debate.

Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2003 Benoit did talk about his wife and kids in those sit-down interview thingies.... So until someone can give me some cold, hard fact, I'm going by what I know. I remember a story involving God of the Smarks a few years back... it was when Chris was still with WCW and they were still doing the shows from Disney-MGM in Orlando.. A couple of friends of mine ran into him at a club (they were marking out of course), and had some drinks with him.... he had already had a few and said that he hadn;t gotten laid in months, and he had an eye on someone in the club. They basically talked him into getting some that night.... another friend ran into Booker and Stevie Ray during his shift at a supermarket shortly after they won the tag belts from Luger and Sting... It was good to be a wrestling fan in Orlando during those days....
Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted April 18, 2003 I think it's funny that WWE won't pull the trigger on the Arn Anderson/Chris Benoit pairing nor commit to taking the time it takes to build the story behind them coming together, but yet we get a similar partnership this week between Sean O'Haire and Roddy Piper. And check the booker's smooth explanation of that one! Virtually NONE! Makes me glad Arn's not anyone's mouthpiece yet.
