If the Lakers do end up getting by the T-Wolves, what do they expect to do when they play a really deep team like the Kings?

Typically just wait for Chris Webber to start taking jump shots that have no chance of going in.

You know it is a bad game by the refs when the announcers (or at least Danny Ainge) basically start rooting for one team. They called two fouls on Wally when he didn't even touch the other player, and it looks like Robert Horry took an independent study course in the Vlade school of flop over the weekend.

With all of that, especially KG fouling out, the Lakers should have one this game. If the Lakers do end up getting by the T-Wolves, what do they expect to do when they play a really deep team like the Kings?

They know the Kings better then the Wolves. It will be an "easier" series. If that's possible against Sac.

Every year this crap happens. End of the game, ghost calls go the Fakers way. It never fails.

Why even have the playofs if Fuckin' David Stern and his Blind Refs are going to try their hardest to just give the title to the Fakers?

Bad refs or not, the game tonight was still exciting. For the most part games have been good so far. No more of this 2:30 stuff though, I was glad the game didn't go to 2OT.

The T'Wolves-Lakers game 3 was possibly the most emotionally exhausting basketball game that I have ever watched.

After watching games 2 and 3, I'm starting to think that my Wolves can do it. They can play defense on the Lakers and no one can stop KG.

Go Timberwolves!

Yeah, it was a great game but the refs, I mean goddamn the bad calls were everywhere. I honestly couldn't say who got the worst of the bad calls, I mean there we so goddamn many!

Lakers: 1 bad call

T-Wolves: 3 bad calls

(as far as the fourth quarter/overtime periods go).

Oh and the fact that Rick Fox can basically tangle up a player and push him out of bounds and not get called. Thank god Bill Walton wasn't calling the game because you all know on that EXACT play Walton would be praising the "genious of Rick Fox's Defensive game" *shudders*

T-Wolves have made this a series, and had they not changed the opening round to best of 7, I'd say the T-wolves would have Lakers on the ropes, but of course not....Lakers can thank the NBA once again.*vomits all over himself*

ermm.....bwahahahahahaha.......hahahaha...SURE. The only thing easier against Sac may be the refs bias. The refs HATE Webber and they dislike Vlade's flopping, even though when someone ELSE flops, it is considered "great defense"

I don't think it is impossible for the Lakers to go for a 4th straight title, but I wouldn't count on it. Once the game with the T-wolves went into OT and KG fouled out, the Lakers had NO EXCUSE to lose that game.

Kings are much deeper than the T-wolves, and a better team then they were last year.Oh well, we can discuss later.

The refs were HORRIBLE and ATROCIOUS LAST NIGHT! And everybody knows it. Charles Barkley said that it was one of the worse officiated games that he has ever seen in quite some time. In fact, on Inside the NBA after the game, most of the highlights were dedicated to the bad calls, like Wally's 2 phantom fouls and KG's strength on his hand when he pushed Horry 5 feet without extending his arms. The Lakers and the refs pulled out all the stops to keep their Conspiracy alive and they still lost.

The 3 refs should be investigated and shot! David Stern is like Saddam, that fucking dictator. Grow some balls and investigate the refs. I propose Instant Replay for the playoffs. That's it for now...

The best part is that the T-Wolves are't pitching a fit over it. They took the bad calls, ignored them, kept playing hard and won the game. They played that game 5 on 8, without Garnett in OT and still won. Meanwhile in Milwaukee, the Bucks lost the game pretty fair and squarely but that whiny baby George Karl runs out to the podium to blame the entire game on the refs and on one call which was probably the right call. I guess he didn't notice that the refs basically gave him 2 points when they didn't call Kukoc for traveling.

Well it helps that they won the game. Plus you don't know what kind of reactions the officials might have if there criticized.

The refs should publicly be fined for what they did. That way, it would send a message to the players and the fans that this sort of thing will not e swept under the rug.

Last night's game between the Lakers and Timberwolves had many blown calls. There were too many phantom calls last night, which gave the impression that the refs were trying to give the game to the Lakers. I doubt that, but boy did those refs need to go back to Refing 101.

As for the rest of the game. The Wolves showed a lot of heart last night. When Garnett fouled out (which I nominate Horry for Best Actor), a lesser team would have folded. The Wolves instead stood fast and the role players came through in the clutch. Shaq looked very out of it for much of the game and finally came alive, but missed two crucial free throws when the score was 89-87 in favor of the Wolves. I guess you really didn't make the free throws when it mattered, huh Shaq? (is it me, or has Shaq suffered from "Foot in Mouth" disease this year).

I do think that Kobe's shoulder injury is worse than he is letting on, and it explains the drop off in points and missed shots he normally drains. The Lakers blew a great performance by Fisher, who I won't be suprised if he doesn't match it for the rest of the playoffs. The Lakers in the past would have won that game. I agree with Jim Rome assessment, the Lakers do not look like they care so far, and this might be the year where pushing the button really doesn't work. This is going to be a very brutal playoffs for the Lakers, and right now the Lakers look very beatable.

Or in the case of OT, Shaq made the Free Throw when he should of missed it.

Stern has to be loving these playoffs as it seems like every team has a guy scoring 40 pts every night. And just wait for that Magic-Sixers series that could happen.

I'm a little late on my comment of the Lakers/T-Wolves debacle but let me congratulate the T-Wolves on being fucked in the ass and still somehow walking out with a win and their head held high.

George Karl, you fight whiny piece of shit. I highly doubt Kenyan Martin could throw Anthony Mason around like a child and even Mase himself admitted they were just battling. Ah he's still bitter over Rodman fucking his whole team up back in the 96 finals I think.

I love the Magic's supporting guys. Gooden, Giricek, Hunter, Declerq, the Irish fucker, the last 3 suck but by God, they put in more effort than 90% of the league.

Mo Cheeks is good people and helps little children finish the national anthem. He is coaching the Blazers. Taste the irony.

I'm done.

I thought it was a little unecessary for George Karl to whine the way he did. Luckily the Bucks [my favorite team] won today, so hopefully the whining will go away. I'm actually pretty confident about the Bucks chances of stealing one more game in New Jersey, if they can just get off to a decent start [if you saw Game 3 or 4 you know what I mean]

That may be the series right there. Minnesota needs to finish games like that before they can beat the champs.
