Iverson Schmiverson (not the best rhyme I know :P ),

He and Tracy McGrady, err sorry I mean "T-Mac" should go drink tea together

:headbang:

Detroit/NJ should be a fun series. Since everybody already counted the East out, I just find their side of the playoffs much more interesting, more grinding defensive games, which are interesting to watch strategically. Since LA is gone I dont really care too much who comes out of the West, even tho they will probably win. GO DETROIT!

I hope that the Nets can take care of the Pistons. Although I am having a hard time desiding who to pull for. Being a Lakers fan I automatically hate everyone else in the west. But I liked the Pistons back in the Lambeir(sp?), Salley, Vinnie(Microwave) days. Awwe, I'm going Nets, since I won an original NBA Jam Tourny, (Yes, original, about 10 or so years ago) with Kidd as a secret power up. Plus, Kidd is a quiet storm. Yeah, going with the Nets.

I'm less concerned with Kobe and Derek Fisher's tears as a show of their passion and more concerned with how they played the game. If you are that passionate about losing, why would you come out so flat in Game 6 in your HOME building, with everything on the line? Why did they wait until they were down by 20 with 5 minutes left before just gunning threes desperately? In that situation, they should have played balls to the wall from the opening tip, and they didn't. That tells more a lot more about them than just some tears after the buzzer. I think they lost Game 6 when Horry's three in Game 5 rattled out. It was like all their old tricks just weren't working anymore and they realized it. And immeditaly after the game Shaq was talking about making roster changes.

Good point. I think everyone may have relyed on the other a little too much. Instead of just doing it theirself. Which they are capable of doing.

The Lakers never really got into a groove this season. Alot of blame falls on Shaq. He could of had surgery in June or July. Been ready for the season to start, and the Lakers wouldn't of gotten off to a 11-19 record.

Did any of the 76ers cry tonight? I didn't see any of them do it if they did. I would be shocked if they started balling like babies afterwards, I mean, seeing as how they're MEN and everything. haha

Yes, I am making fun of the Lakers right up until they win the title again next year.

Nope. Like real men they held their emotions in with respect for the other team...and proceded to bawl their eyes out in the locker room...

Then Iverson took blame for the lost.

Hah, even though Iverson single handedly kept them in the game.

Oh well, too bad, so sad.

Go PISTONS!

I don't think playing for the right to lose to the Nets, who will proceed to lose to the Spurs, holds as much importance as the Lakers vs. Spurs matchup for the NBA title.

All Iverson needs a Pippen...Van Horn certaintly isn't that guy.

All Detroit needs is a Personality Transplant...and Charisma and shit...

Pistons are the Benoit of NBA...

Pistons have personality they have Ben Wallace the Don King Troll of the NBA.

if the Pistons knock out the Nets, then that will be all the personality they need in my eyes.

The Venus Star-Trap. Tracy McGrady... Allen Iverson... Jason Kidd. :)

That's IF.

My predictions: Pistons over Nets in 6

Spurs over Mavericks (over Sacramento) in 5

Spurs over Pistons in 6 or 7.

I think the Spurs played the Pistons 2 times in the regular season, both were low scoring victories, something like 83-68.

Wow it looks like the Mavs have the killer instinct. I wonder what they will call this series vs the Spurs, the I-35 Shootout? Lone Star Shootout?

Oh, well.

The Kings have had a good year, just not THE year.

Many people said that we couldn't get past Dallas without C. Webb. We didn't, but we managed to take them to game 7.

See you next year.

That has to be one of the most poorly played defensive games I've ever seen, and remember I watch the Bulls. I saw T-Mac score 50 on them in 3 quarters.

I have to agree with what Barkley said at halftime, if they play against the Spurs like they played in the first half, they'll get their asses swept.

Wow!!! We have an all Texas Western Final. The injury to Chris Webber hurt the Kings, as well as their poor free throw shooting in Game 3 proved to be the deciding factors. Better luck next year. I think the Kings need a defensive-minded player, who can board like no other. Being that the Kings will get two first round picks, they should focus on a more defensicve moinded player. Also, I would like them to give Gerald Wallace some more PT.

The Mavs offense is dangerous. They will take a few games from the Spurs, but the Spurs will be hard to contain inside. The Mavs were fortunate for the Webber injury, but Tim Duncan is going to drive the Mav's nuts. Also, the Spurs have a very tough defense, which should slow the Mavs down soime what, enough to take the series in 6. I also like the rebound advantage that the Spurs will more than likely have. I think Parker has come along nicely and with the addition of Genobli, they have a solid back court. The only thing that will win the series for the Mavs, is for them to hopefully out gun the Spurs, like they did to the Kings. Will be a fun series IMO.

In the East, I am up in the air a lil, but if I must make a pick, I will go with New Jersey in Seven. I like the experience factor and the Kidd factor. And Martin and Jefferson are also good players. I am interested to see if Prince of Detroit continues his improvement into a solid player. He was the difference in the Phili series. If he can give them that kind of productivity in this series, then Detroit could go onto the Finals. However, I think that New Jersey is a more complete team and being that they made it to the Finals last year, they will know how to return. I also love Kidd, so I am pulling for the Nets.

Oh yeah, I am happy the Lakers lost. This has been comming for some time now. The Lakers need to over haul thier supporting cast. This was not one of Phil's best coaching jobs. He refuses to play any of his younger players, until it was a little too late to be any effective. And I could go on, but the Lakers need work, Jerry West is no longer there, and their current GM is a putz. But, it was a great run for them. 3 in a row is impressive. They are the team I love to hate, but they were the best team in the NBA, until the Spurs destroyed them in Game 6.

The Spurs didn't destroy the Lakers because the Lakers took two games and almost went into Game 6 with a 3-2 lead. They just played like bitches in the fourth quarter of Game 6. They had the nerve to cry at the end too. If the game meant so much that it would drive them to tears, why wouldn't they play deense like they wanted to win?

The Mavericks are a dangerous team because all of their players can hit shots from anywhere on the court. The problem is, they play defense like some bitches.

Dallas showed that they can play defense when needed/when they want to tonight in Game 7. Bradley actually had a *gasp* a good game. He didn't let Divac dominate. Nowinski also played well defensely. Dallas isn't the best defensive teams by any means, but they will play it when they feel like it.

Nick Van Excel is going to cause problems for the Spurs. I am getting a headache now thinking of the Don Nelson 3 Guard small line up Nash, Finley, Van Excel and the big guys of Nowinski and LaFrentz. This is a high scoring team but their weakness is that they tend to depend on the outside game too much and forget to rebound, this will be their downfall. If the Mavs are going to steal a few games it will be because Raja Bell.

I wouldn't be suprised if Poppovich plays Duncan, Bowen, Jackson, Ginobli, Parker for most of the series.

Okay the Spurs beat the Lakers and blew them out in L.A. for the clincher, so obviously them winning wasn't a fluke, but now all of a sudden the Nets have a better chance to win it all because the Lakers (the fuckin' #5 seed) are gone? BULLSHIT! God the Lakers are even overrated when their eliminated.
