What pisses you off the most about the WWE ?

Recommended Posts

Guest Creepy Crawl

Ive been a wrestling fan for some 20 years and the things Im seeing today just really get on my nerves . The pushing of fuckers that really dont deserve it (Rodney Mack) and the depushing I guess you could say of motherfuckers that really have talent (Hurricane) just gets on my last damn nerve . I'm just wondering what pisses you off ?

Jesus, that's way too much for me to just rifle off. I'd probably have to divide it into sections then possibly sub-sections and move from there.

The refusal to put over the people who are over and work hard...and instead pay ten times their salary to bring in an over the hill no talent used to be and push them instead.

Man for real Im from the old school Paul Bosch Wrestling . I remember One Man Gang and shit I could actually care about and give a fuck about and the next damn week I would be hooked to my TV and wondering what would happen next . Nowdays its too predictable and I can call all the shots thats pretty shitty .

Here's my #1 beef with the WWE:

They have the ability to be better than they are right now, but they're not using it!

They have their best roster ever! There really isn't a GOOD excuse as to why they're sucking right now.

All of the horrible angles, kliq nonsense, burials, quick fixes, old stars, ect. all that stuff we bitch about non stop is not it.

It's the fact that they make it cystal clear that not only do they not give a damn about me, they make it a habit to ridicule me and fellow internet fans on a regular basis.

Christ, now you all have got me actually thinking.....I was planning on going to bed soon but now....

A couple things right off the top of my head

- Treatment of Chris Benoit and Eddy Guerrero. They're your two best wrestlers. Use them well.

- Storylines that insult everyones intelligence and go nowhere.

- Bringing back stars for the sake of the almighty dollar.

- The inability to keep continuity in the storylines, which in turn insults our intelligence

- Egos keeping new stars from shining

- Writers who seem more intent on getting media exposure through controversy or just making a bunch of Mtv kids laugh at immature junk

I knew that if I was going to click on this thread, I was going to find some guy raging that Hurricane should get a push.

*bangs head to wall*

Anyway, I'd say the most annoying part is Rock having to job to Fuck Goldberg, who doesn't even have a tenth the talent.

Damn, I don't really know. I guess it would have to be the title situation. RAW has the World title, the Tag Team titles and the Women's title. I don't care about the women's division. The tag titles are on two people whom aren't a real tag team...plus I hate Kane. Also, Triple H has had the World Title for a long time, which usually I'm all for, but it seems that no one wants him to have it. He never loses, so no one ever bothers to get excited for his matches.

On Smackdown, Brock has the World title, which I'm ok with. Team Angle has the tag team titles, which I don't mind. Also, Matt Hardy is the cruiserweight champion which I'm really digging. I guess that's why I like Smackdown! more than RAW. The funny thing is, I didn't even get Smackdown! locally until last week. I've only been able to follow what's going on by reading the net and watching Velocity recap it.

So, on RAW, I'd give the tag team titles to a team like the Dudleyz. I give the World Title to someone other than HHH, preferably a babyface. I'd also bring back the TV title. Whomever has it, would have to defend it on each Sunday Night Heat & each RAW. Give it to someone like RVD and you might get people to watch Heat, and care about the midcarders. Kills two birds with one stone. Occasionally have the TV title defended in the last time slot on RAW to make the belt seem more credible. Remember when ECW would have TV title main events? Yeah, like that.

I still don't see why this is a bad thing. Goldberg gets hated on a lot around here. Still though, he should go over Rock. Why? A couple of reasons:

A.) It will make Goldberg look like more of a threat, especially the the WWE fanbase that didn't watch his WCW work.

B.) The Rock is going back to Hollywood, so he has no reason to take a win with him. He doesn't need the heat from beating Goldberg to make a movie.

C.) Goldberg will be around after the Rock takes off, for at least a little while. Why not give Goldberg the win and let him look more credible for his next opponent? That's how you make money.

It makes ZERO sense for Rock to defeat Goldberg. HBK going over Y2J at Wrestlemania? That at least makes a little bit of sense to me. Why? Again, a couple of reasons:

A.) The feud continued. If this had been the final blow-off match to the feud, then I would've been a little bit more upset. Which HBK first won, I won't lie, I was questioning why...until I thought about it.

B.) Jericho probably didn't want to go over his role model in the first place. I truly believe that Jericho was happy losing to his role model in one of the hyped main events in the biggest wrestling show in the world.

C.) It made HBK appear as if he can still compete...which matters since he is going to still compete. After HBK lost to HHH, some 'marks' might have started doubting him again.

Just my opinions.

I don't mind Goldberg going over Rock in the present situation. All together I didn't want Goldberg here in the first place, but since I have to live with it I know he needs to go over Rock.

Last night's Raw was a perfect example of what makes me nuts about the WWF:

1. 4 matches, 2 of which were extremely short and crappy

2. You have the six man match at Backlash but the guys that will do the least amount of work in the match are the focus of it.

3. Rock/Goldberg get two very long segments and what did it accomplish?

4. A twenty minute main event that results in a no contest.

5. Rodney Mack who no one cares about getting more screen time than RVD or Kane who happen to be champs and wrestling at the PPV.

No no no no no. That will not work. A midcard title that no one cares about will only drag RVD down even further. The US title destroyed Kurt Angle for a while. The mindset that giving a midcard title to someone who should be way above it and having them face midcarders has been proven to be detrimental to the title holder in recent times.

^^^I agree. Angle, Jericho, Benoit and Edge all suffered from getting that title again after being pushed as MEs.

It was just an example. If it really matters that much to you, substitute RVD with Hurricane or whoever else you want. If the belt was prestigious enough, people would want to cheer for the matches contested over it. That's all there is to it.

The problem is that all of the titles have been devalued. I understood the reasoning why some titles had to be removed, but I think they went too far. A midcard title HAS to be in the mix, if only to bring some midcarders out into the spotlight.... remove the above mentioned along with Hurricane (because he is so over right now) from the equation, though.

all of the titles should be defended constantly on TV as well as PPVs, either every week or on a rotating basis. Putting them out there and actually having competition for them would be the only way to legitimize them now, because at the moment they are a joke.

Only titles that you have mentioned that actually do this and aren't resulting of a DQ (in most cases) are as followed:

WWE Tag Team (SD)

Crusierweight*

*Yes, I know one of the championships was one that no one cares to highly about. But it really is one of the few that do play out to your rules.

You have someone like Rhyno on Smackdown who is really over right now, but not ready for the WWE title...too big for the cruiserweight title. What do you do with him? You could put the tag titles on him and someone else, but that doesn't showcase him.

For the most part, the Smackdown show is fairly consistent in airing title defenses... it was pretty much exempt from the point I was making, and I should have said so. Smackdown has its faults but at least they are less glaring than The Kliq Show.

This is why I thought SmackDown should have a middling belt that is fought by both cruiserweights and heavyweights.

That way, Rey Mysterio can still fight the A-Trains and stuff of the world, have a reason to be fighting them, and still fight the cruisers too.
