Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Chris Jericho was on Bubba The Love Sponge show this morning. The highlights are: *He said he told Goldberg that things were a lot different in WWE, and he needed to get his head out of his ass. *He said he took Goldberg down in front of the boys a COUPLE of times, and thinks he embarrassed him. *He said that 15 minutes after it happened, it was on the internet. *They began to discuss Mr. America. Bubba pretty much confirmed in a not so official way that Hogan is indeed Mr. America. Reading between the lines here. They talked about hockey. Bubba put Y2J over for his supreme mic skills, and for being such a good heel. And that's about it.
Guest The Tino Standard Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 I love Jericho and I'm a total Jerichoholic, but I'm sorry, I just cannot picture him taking Goldberg down in a legitmate altercation multiple times.
Guest The Tino Standard Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 That's probably true. Are WWE wrestlers still under Vince's asinine policy of maintaining kayfabe at all times in public?
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 They are kayfabing a lot more in their interviews, but "Get your head out of your ass" and "things are a lot different in the WWE" don't seem like kayfabe comments.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 But I think on GITR Y2J said they shook hands and the fight just cleared up some long standing tension. I think they're on good terms now
Guest TheArchiteck Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Thought Jericho hated the internet......
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Thought Jericho hated the internet...... Every wrestler hates the internet till they need to use it for their own gain
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 WORK! It's all to set up a Jericho/Goldberg feud.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Does anyone think Vince would market Jericho 4 Greenberg 0 T-shirts?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Jericho on OTR last year was priceless. He was so bitter and shit... "Goldberg... I challenge you."
B. Brian Brunzell Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Damn stupid me for not living in canada. I NEED OTR. We have NOTHING like it in the States. Unless you count meanigless talk show appearances.
Guest BifEverchad Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Does anyone think Vince would market Jericho 4 Greenberg 0 T-shirts? Jericho needs to go back to calling people by the wrong names. "Mitchell Cole" "Mike Foley" "Greenberg" "Rasin" what else was there? *scratches head*
Guest Choken One Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 He botched Juventud OVER AND OVER again... Gene Mean...
Guest The Tino Standard Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 "Vance McMahon" and "Stone Cold Steve Assclown" were always favorites of mine.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 It wasn't a wrong name but I used to enjoy when he called The Rock, "The Rock" ala, "Let me tell you something The Rock"
cawthon777 Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 WORK! It's all to set up a Jericho/Goldberg feud. Yeah, let's work the die hard internet fans - who make up such a small portion of the overall audience. And in turn, let's turn away all the other fans who don't understand what's going on because they don't follow wrestling on the net. Let's hope McMahon learned enough from WCW's downfall not to try that.
Guest Eagan469 Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 "A former champion in many countries, he's gonna rock rock 'til he drops, rock rock never stop, MARTY JANNETTY, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!"
King Cucaracha Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 'Mr Roboto' Dean-o Machino, Stinko Malenko Harold Finkel Scamrock Trash Stratus Mr T(Booker) And of course, he called Juvi 'Hoot an' toot Guerrera' once. There was also this Japanese guy with a typically hard to pronounce Japanese name, so he called him 'Shinja Rammalammadingdong' or something. Jericho was truly god in WCW
cawthon777 Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 "I want my Loverboy tape back, Lenny Lane!"
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Juvi was also Quasijuice, or however you spell it
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Jericho hates net fans - so he probably would be willing to do it.
King Cucaracha Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 *He said that 15 minutes after it happened, it was on the internet. In other words, he's unhappy the internet keeps bringing stuff like this up so quickly I guess. Oh, and I forgot Bobby 'Crumb-Dumb' Jr and the time he called Hogan 'Granpa'.
Guest bob_barron Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 It wasn't a wrong name but I used to enjoy when he called The Rock, "The Rock" ala, "Let me tell you something The Rock" Yes- The fact that Jericho ALWAYS refered to him as 'The Rock' was pure gold.
Bored Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 You do all realize this is just kayfabe and is done to build towards Goldberg beating Jerhico at Judgement Day.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 Well, yeah. But we need to have fun knowing that Jericho's gonna get squashed in a month. Kirk Angel was a favorite of mine.
