Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted April 26, 2003 Am I the only one who can't stand Chris Berman when he goes into over sentimental, hushed toned, act? No when he was kissing up to the Chargers a view hours ago, and refering to the owner and his wife on a 1st name basis. It's typical Berman asskissing. Anyone notice Kiper isn't has critical has he used to be?

Take Simms, you need to start grooming a new QB Whatever...I don't know why they have any problems with Jeff Garcia. Maybe they don't think he can lead them to a Super Bowl but they don't have a team that is good enough to go to a Super Bowl. They need someone to compliment Owens and Tai Streets wants out of San Francisco.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 26, 2003 Anyone notice Kiper isn't has critical has he used to be? I think this is a hard draft to be critical because they arent passing up sure fire picks or anything. He has mentioned that most of the people are the same so it is really personal preference. Also it seems like they haven't been having him talk as much with all the video conferencing, filler segments, commercials
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 26, 2003 I don't know why they have any problems with Jeff Garcia. He is 33. It is time to start grooming a new guy for two three years down the road

Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 26, 2003 It seems like some of the people have been conferenced three times already. I dont care about these because every pick they are thrilled with and will contribute to the team this year according to them, so the segments are worthless. But, also Kiper's gotten to know some of the GM's, on a personal basis and probably isn't has willing to criticize teams anymore. He also works for ESPN co-hosting CFB Saturday on the Radio, where he used to be the outsider who would come in a week before the draft, and the disapear for a year. Take Simms, you need to start grooming a new QB As a 49ers fan, I wouldn't mind seeing them groom a new QB, but it had better NOT be Chris Simms. Garcia is around for at least another three years and no one is gonna groom a quarterback for three years and have him just sit on the bench and eat cap room. They can worry about quarterback in future drafts.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 26, 2003 That is a good question. I don't have an answer, he'll be good but they have needs of which he isnt one.
