They should have taken Suggs.

Is that it for today?

As the day comes to a close I would give the Eagles a solid B leaning to B+

1st round - I like the move to go get the guy they wanted. McDougle was certainly one of the top 2-3 DEs on the board. Plus the actual guts of Reid to do something gets this pick an A

2nd Round - L.J. Smith They wanted to grab a pass catching TE, he is not my favorite of the ones that were on the board at the pick (Witten) but still filled a need

B

3rd Round - Billy McMullen A big possession receiver. That is all well and good they needed a WR, but they need a field stretcher more along the lines of a Talman Gardner.

B-

Overall - I would have liked Seneca Wallace in the 3rd to be a playmaker but they filled needs and filled them well today. Above average draft

B - B+

Guys to look at in the 4th

Rien Long

Ontarrio Smith

Lee Suggs

Seneca Wallace

Talman Gardner

Shaun McDonald

Aaron Walker (could do some fun things with him and L.J. together)

Dennis Weathersby

Terrence Holt

Lance Briggs

I'm not sure what to think about the Pack picking Nick Barnett. He was the fastest rising LB on the board, but I still think they should have gone with Baily or Henderson. We'll see.

Getting Peterson in the third is great. He is exactly what Green Bay needs on the line.

I loved it. The pick my team made I mean.

Let's face this as a Bills fan. Who was supposed to help me? A tight end over a potential top back in the league? A Defensive End? Oh...Kelsay was still there for us in the 2nd.

Love the pick. We have Travis Henry...and that's great. Now maybe this will pressure him to stop fumbling every game. I love Henry and I love the way he plays but he's not Willis McGahee. This was a free pick that we only got for having the balls to put the franchise tag on Price. Take who you want. When our GM said he was in position to take the best player on his board...I guess he was serious.

Cannot believe that Cincy made a good draft AND They can still get Suggs, Gardner, Smith, Long and thus end up with...

FOUR HUGE DRAFT PICKS!

I like Cincy obviously, but I also like Dallas' draft a lot. Johnson may have been a bit high in the second but Newman is great and Witten was a huge steal so Newman, Johnson, and Witten works for me.

Houston had a very good draft with Andre Johnson, Dave Ragone and Bennie Joppru(A little high IMO though)

Only the Bears could have the 4th pick and end up with Haynes, Grossman, and a bunch of 2A guys.

*sigh*

Well Haynes should be a nice player if that is any consolation.

How does anyone know who had a good or bad draft? Seriously, we haven't seen these guys play in the NFL yet. Guys you think are sure fire locks, turn out to be flops, and vice versa.

We thought that before didn't we? It's Pure Speculation Buddio....

If Chicago ends up with the GREATEST draft ever...I will still say "Bad Draft"...

Why wait a few years when we can speculate now? Opinions change.

Jacksonville - Great that they picked up Leftwich, Mathis is supposed to have a lot of potential and Manuwai will help solidify the offensive line. Still no recievers though which they need, or a middle linebacker. There's still some quality recievers out there though so I predict they'll go after one tomorrow.

UCLA players - Carolina is becoming one of my favorite teams if they keep drafting this way - Foster last year, Seidman and Manning this year.

Will Minnesota ever get a pick on time again? Wonder what the fuss was about. It looks like they got their guy though, so it can be somewhat forgiven.

Cincy didn't screw up, those are some solid picks. I like Houston's draft too...really gives their offense some more punch with a deep threat in Andre Johnson and a good recieving tight end in Joppru.

Oh speculation about whether teams filled needs or didn't is fine. Just grading individual players is really difficult to do right know.

One of the things I love most about the draft is the spinsters on the team payrolls that love every move the team made. Granted I think the Eagles did a very good job, but I went to the team website and Dave Spidaro (who is ridiculous with the pro-Eagles sentiment) loves each of the picks. I love the first round, like the second, am ok with the 3rd. I don't see what is wrong with having a realist opinion on there. Fans aren't stupid.

How can you not give a thumbs up to the Vikings for giving us the most interesting 5 minutes in draft history?

There are stories on both sides

Vikings: "They didnt get the card in"

Ravens: "We didn't call the guy to make it official"

Jacksonville: :hangs up phone: "We screwed you guys good"
