Guest ISportsFan Report post Posted April 27, 2003 Since I moved from Chicago to West Virginia, I've been reduced to watching Velocidential to get my Eddie/Benoit fix, for we have no UPN afiliate here in Wheeling. I have to suffer through all the other crap just to see a few minutes of greatness. I checked for you (since I live in Hoffman Estates, which is pretty close), and every Comcast cable channel in the surrounding area for UPN is channel 8. If you don't have cable, it's channel 50. I didn't check DirecTV, but I assume you can switch to antenna even if you don't get UPN through that. Hope this helps. Jason Oh, my fault. Moved FROM Chicago TO West Virginia. Oops. Maybe because there's a Wheeling over here too I messed up. Or because I can't read. Jason
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 27, 2003 I suggest we all send polite e-mails to the WWF saying that this format rocks and we'd like to see it become permanent

Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 27, 2003 Seeing this, makes me ask once again... ...why the HELL will WWE not release a series of DVD's just filled to the rim with older stuff like this!? Just go on ebay and start snagging those Best of the WWF volumes lot of old matches on them. one of them got the rarely seen Gorilla Monsoon vs Muhammid Ali match. I know I can do that, but it isn't the same. I want it all neatly packed on DVD with various extras like commentaries and the such. I just don't see why they don't do it, as I really think they could make tons of money from it if they marketed it the right way.

Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted April 27, 2003 And what's wrong with Kurt's voice? Well considering he was talking just after he woke up from surgery... AND... his neck was just cut open, I think he sounded pretty damn good. I meant the non hospital scenes I wouldn't worry too much...I had a Surgery that required going through my Spinal Cord...I had a odd voice for about 3 months...It came back... I thought they were pre-surgery. He was talking about what they were going to do He was probably feeling very somber and reflective, that can cause a change in vocal timbre and reasonance. Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 27, 2003 Monsoon was originally a wrestler. Makes sense, especially with the name, but I just find it hard to picture him ever wrestling. I always think of him as the Play By Play guy with Heenan or Ventura.

Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted April 27, 2003 Hate to admit this...I marked for this... Just imagine what it was fucking like there live. I've never seen anything like it before, really, it was just unreal. I was there when Benoit won the WCW title but Cincy could've cared less... I saw Big Show in a world title!!! MSG was not too happy that night I bet you marked your ass off, heh. I love it when I'm live for ANY title change though. I dunno, I feel like I was a part of something, even if it doesn't mean anything in the "real world". I saw Yokozuna beat Hogan's old ass. On a sadder note, I saw Renegade beat Arn for the TV title. I guess the fact he reminds me of my (late) grandfather makes the wrestler thing all the more difficult to imagine.

You wouldn't market as you do current WWE. Vince would have to tactfully place advertisements where his target for said DVD's would see it, and do so in a way that would be very nostalgic. That showed there was a market for the Mid/Late 80's to be sold again... I am sure WWE could sell a "The Greatest Matches in Wrestling" DVD perty well...
