Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I never understood how it became fashinoable in that culture to name children after Christ, yet it doesn't happen anywhere else really. I did once know a guy named Judas though. He was black.

Guest RevEvil Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Yeah, you wouldn't believe how many Mohammeds I know, first or last name.... Actually that is the most popular first name for males in the world. Smith is the most common surname.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted April 30, 2003 isn't confucianism more popular in china than buddhism? i know it's the dominant religion in japan & korea. Confucianism is a philosophy, it's not a religion. Buddhism is the most dominant religion in Japan, Korea, and most liekly China (although the government, as with all communist governments, are avowedly atheist). Guest PencilJobber Report post Posted May 1, 2003 Pele and Tiger Woods are pretty much known World wide but i would have to say Hitler or Einstein seeing as lots of people have no idea who Jesus is. Intrestingly i saw a survey they did on young school kids(4-8) in Asia in a newspaper last year and more of them knew Tiger Woods than any other person they were asked about including Jesus,Hitler and Einstein

Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted May 1, 2003 I would, actually, change my vote to pele. The most famous player of the worlds most popular sport. You're overlooking how stupid and disinterested the average American is. That's a good chunk of people.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted May 2, 2003 I seem to recall hearing that, at one point, Muhammed Ali was the most recognizable athlete in the world. So while he may not be THE most famous person, I'd say he's definately up there.
