There is expected to be a protest at tonight's WWE house show in Burlington. About 20 members of the Burlington Business and Professional Women plan a protest. They claim pro wrestling has too many disturbing images of men physically abusing women. Marie Eddy, who organized the protest, said most people haven't watched wrestling of late and don't realize how bad it's become when it comes to portrayals of violence against women. She had seen a tape of an educational program called "Wrestling with Manhood: Boys, Bullying and Battering:" at a workshop to prevent violence against women. There was five minutes of WWE footage on the tape, showed it to her group, and the reaction was anger and a desire of action. Gary Davis of WWE in a story in the Burlington Free Press said his company has never seen any convincing, scientifically proven links between their programming and increases in violence. He said the women in WWE are portrayed as independent and assertive and that in WWE storylines, usually the women end up with the upper hand. (thanks to Joel Nurre)

Go home and shave your legs!

In all seriousness, don't they have anything better to do?

And considering the source, this was HILARIOUS.

Buffybeast should go and show these women the greatness that is A-Train. ..........Did I just say that?!

Geez I haven't seen that much men on women violence lately at all. Jericho putting Stacy in the Walls was the last I can think of.

Even then it's just a damn TV show. Most of the time it's heels doing it to get heel heat.

Where were they during the Jarrett-Chyna angle?

Geez...really...they probably are going on 2 year old reports.

Plus, Austin isn't even on Raw anymore.

I'm not sure who said this, I thought it was the Mole, but I told it wasn't him: "You know, you can't trust anything that bleeds for 5 days and doesn't die."

It actually was Garrison in the South Park movie.
