The latest on Kurt Angle is that he is feeling great after his surgery, and would reportedly get back in the ring now if his doctors permitted it. Angle was backstage at the Smackdown tapings last night, and did have a promo hyping his eventual return.

However, there are also reports that Angle only plans on wrestling for one more year in WWE, and would like to make as much money as he could in that year. Then he would retire from in ring competition and work full-time for WWE in some other capacity, as an agent, on-air role or something else.

First Austin, now Angle. Man, this definitely sucks for the WWE. Only one more year for Kurt? He didn't even hit his peak in abilities yet. Well, here's hoping he has another amazing year. Here's to NOT hoping that he'll be a "co-GM" of Smackdown or something rediculous of that nature.

Angle could stay on more easily than Austin. It will be sad to lose him from the ring, but he could work wonders as a manager. Regal could do the same thing.

Agreed with Kahran. Angle as a "Coach" of a stable (similar to what he does for Team Angle, just in a non-wrestling capacity) would be a great position for him.

I guess he has a point of view few Pro wrestlers have. you see many a wrestler age and wrestle through nagging injuries. Angle can understand his physical limitations are only gonna get more profound year by year until he's got nothing left...

I think a golden job Angle can do for the WWE is be a road agent and a Trainer for that matter.

Wasn't Angle also suppose to leave after Summerslam to train for the olympics again?

That sucks. :( Only one more year of Angle.

Is Rock now officially retired for good?

I just hope that before he retires we get one or two more matches against Brock, an ironman against Benoit (that match would OWN YOUR SOUL), and some stuff against Eddy. Maybe even another match with Rey. Yes, that should fill out his last year rather nicely I think. Wonder if WWF's got an open spot on the booking committee....

No more Angle wrestling = fucking shit....but at least he's willing to stay in the business.

Yes, Kurt, you do that at the midcard level with Cena and Hardy and Kendrick.

Oh, wait, he doesn't think they are gonna push him in the mains for more than three months at a time, does he?

Yeah right.

First PPV Back - Job to Brock in rematch

Second PPV Back - Job to Albert to make a new "star"

Third PPV Back - Return job to Hogan

Fourth PPV Back - Return job to Big Show

Fifth PPV Back - Intergender tag jobs to Stephanie Mcmahon.

Retirement "Dream" Match - Job to Lex Luger to make a new "star."

I am Sorry But I don't think Angle Benoit going an Hour would work because That would mean over 125 Germans and that SHIT gets OLD.

I'll take it if they SEVER the amount of Germans...Those two have rendered that move DEAD.

I say someone should stage a power coup in a year, get rid of Vince and give the company to Angle when he retires...

who's with me? lol

Nah...Then Karen Angle will have an Affiar with Spanky and It's an whole new can of worms...

Besides, Angle will just put over his buddies like Edge, Benoit, Eddy and Bubba....and hold down deserving undercarders like Undertaker and A-Train...

Nope. No Angle Power at all...

Yeah... remember when he started to push for WWE to hire more "medium" sized worker? Can't have that... nope, no sir

But speaking of Karen... I always thought it was kind of ironic how "moral" Angle supposedly is, yet he married a stripper...

actually, austin killed the move at his 2001 smackdown match when he took 10 in a row and didn't die. then he buried it when he got up from something like 6 germans at summerslam & countered into 3 or 4 of his own. but anyway...

an iron man match could make the german suplex a big threat again. you've got more pinfalls to work with, so each guy could actually get PINNED by one. think about it: early in the match, benoit hits 3 rolling germans & bridges it, getting a fall. angle has to spend the rest of the match avoiding the german suplex like death. late in the match, benoit tries to get one off but angle counters into 3 rolling germans of his own, getting a fall on benoit. or benoit kicks out with FIGHTING SPIRIT~! but angle holds on and keeps rattling them off, bridging each time till benoit can't get up.

this shit just books itself.

Sure yes that works but Vince will just say "Fuck that Psychology shit...Just Suplex the hell outta each other...I'll foot the hospital bills with Shane's Inheritance"

Actully...I haven't read the book but HOW THE FUCK did Kurt ever *bump* into Karen?

I thought Angle spent 23 hours a day in the gym...

from his book

"I had met Karen a few months after the Olympics. She was working in sales for Iron City Beer, and I was making appearances for them after they named their Iron City Athelete of the Year. It was Karen't job to escort me on some of the appearances, and there were sparks the very first time we were together."

it seems like an oxymoron for a beer company to name an athlete of the year.

Kurt Angle's Affair

Interestingly enough... this website is a Kurt Angle fanfiction website... the current story being this:

"Kurt Angle is having an affair with the boss's daughter. Will Kurt Angle be able to have his relationship with Stephanie McMahon on the sly without his wife knowing? What will happen when Kurt Angle goes out of his marriage to Karen? THIS SERIES IS COMPLETE. WRITTEN BY DOMINIQUE"

Meh, Angle seems to magnetically attract bullshit, or at the very least over-exaggerated net reports. So far he's apparently been leaving for the Olympics, had his career ended, become a cripple and now he's just doing it for one more year. You'll pardon me for a little scepticism on these reports.
