Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I've been pretty lucky when it comes to actually buying a ticket, I tend to know if I'm going to like the movie or not. But some times it goes wrong. By far the worst movie I saw at the theater was Man Of The House...but I was a kid and didn't pay for my ticket. So that doesn't count. The worst movie I paid to see was goddamn Ed TV...and it was pretty much just for the sake of going out with a girl, had to do something and her dad didn't like the idea of "drive in," which was the first plan. So even worse I had to pay for two tickets to a shit movie...and nothing even happened that night. Hallow Man comes in at a close second.
Guest Ripper Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Three Strikes with Jeepers Creepers coming in a close second...and Money Train not to far behind.
The Dames Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Mortal Kombat Annihilation followed by The Pest. I knew I wouldn't like The Pest (I was dragged by my best friend at the time) but was PISSED when MK 2 not only was disappointing, but THE worst movie I've ever seen. Dames
Guest Zack Malibu Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Nurse Betty. I got dragged out on a double date 3 years ago when this shitfest came out, by my friend who had just met a girl and felt a group situation would be a good idea for the first time out. They've been together ever since, so I joke that if she managed to not walk out of that movie (he picked it) she'll never leave him.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Godzilla(hollywood version) I worked at the theater so thankfully I didn't have to pay for that shit bucket, but it still counts because I would've paid for it at the time. Close second goes to... The Lost World: Jurassic Park I worked at the theater so thankfully I didn't have to pay for that shit bucket, but it still counts because I would've paid for it at the time.
The Dames Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 You know...I get shit from my best friend constantly about this, but I really didn't like The Lost World. He and many other claim that it was better than the original Jurassic Park, which was vastly overrated, IMO, but I disagree. Dames
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I'd call it a toss up between Black Dog and Street Fighter.
Guest El Satanico Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 They say lost world was better than the first? And I say they're nuts.
Mrnoitaull Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Mortal Kombat Annihilation followed by The Pest. Hey, I though both were sweet personally, seriously!!! But anyway, I gotta say that damn Street Fighter movie!!!
The Dames Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Well...there's proof positive that Street Fighter is a terrible movie. People actually prefer MK2 Dames
Guest crandamaniac Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 You know...I get shit from my best friend constantly about this, but I really didn't like The Lost World. He and many other claim that it was better than the original Jurassic Park, which was vastly overrated, IMO, but I disagree. Dames You're friends are full of crap too. I liked Lost World, but JP is the better movie. And the worst for me as I've said time and time again was Rollerball. Followed by Dragonfly. I went out with the same girl to those 2 movies, and both of them sucked. Thankfully I broke up with the girl as those were some terrible choices in movies* *Well I didn't break up with her all b/c of her choice in movies, but I should have.
Guest Urine Sane Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Easily House of 1000 Corpses, the only movie Ive actually walked out of wanting to punch someone in the face.
Guest notJames Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I usually avoid the usual blockbuster pablum and hokey Hollywood crap, so I've been blessed with not having seen too many bad movies in the theaters. Relatively speaking, I'd have to say either Alien Resurrection or I.Q., both recommended by or watched with people I no longer associate with.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 The worst movie I've ever seen was unquestionably Bless The Child. What's worse, I was actually looking forward to it. I went with a big group of friends, we thought the movie looked very cool. The unfortunate presence of Kim Basinger was (so we thought) offset by the presence of Guy From Dark City and Christina Ricci (who ended up having like a 5 minute cameo.) When I worked at the theater I would see shitty movies to grade thier shittyness. For a loooooong time, Teaching Mrs. Tingle was the worst movie I had ever seen. But then I saw Bless The Child, and 4 years later it is still the worst movie I've ever seen, though it recently faced a stiff challenge from my rental of "Ghosts of Mars".
Guest El Satanico Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 it recently faced a stiff challenge from my rental of "Ghosts of Mars". Damnit!...Ghosts of Mars is great. Well not great in the "it belongs on the AFI 100 best films list" way, but great none the less.
PsychoDriver Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Planet of The Apes (2001) only movie I ever walked out on..... I'd probably rank it as my most hated movie ever.. just pure crap.
Guest Mole Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Ghost of Mars was just weird, but was okay. Anyway, I saw Down to You with a girl, right after I got dumped by a girl. I thought this would cheer me up, but the horrible movie didn't do shit. I thought that was the worst movie, until Rollerball came out. I saw that, saying the critics were wrong, but they were more than right.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Batman & Robin. First movie I can remember feeling completely ripped off by. Long, boring, crap, boring, retarded, boring and long. And boring. Godzilla and Mission: Impossible 2 follow closesly.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Godzilla gets a bye with me cause I saw it with two friends in an empty theater and we just cracked joked the whole time.
Guest Marshall Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Power Rangers The Movie. I pissed on the seat in protest. I was only 14 at the time.
Guest kingkamala Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Ha ha, I beat you all.....Gone Fishin' with Danny Glover and Joe Pesci followed by Mouse Trap starring Nathan Lane.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Batman & Robin. Godzilla was terrible, but it had its moments (or at least more than B&R). These days I check Rotten Tomatoes, and if it gets like 10% or something like that (ex. Rollerball or Time Machine), I avoid it like the plague. I don't necessarily agree with critics, but if there are that many people against it there is obviously something wrong with the film.
Guest Anorak Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Jingle All The Way Arnie (and Sinbad!) in family comedy hell. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer There's few mainstream horror films which i've particularly disliked more. Just no redeeming features (other than JLH's chest in a prominant supporting role) whatsoever and strangely irritating (anybody would have gutted Moesha (sp?) first). The whole audience groaned when they tried to set up another sequel. I paid to see The Stupids as well but I thought it was ok. You either get Tom Arnold or you don't I suppose.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever God damn what a piece of shit......WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT....FUCK THAT MOVIE.... Seriously....it sucked...
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I would say Reign Of Fire. Fell asleep 5 times during that movie lol. A loud noise would wake me, then back to dreams again.
Guest DawnBTVS Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 It ALWAYS will be Cast Away, overrated piece of shit that fucking sucked!!! And Gladiator sucked IMO too, too much romancey crap when I was expecting more action.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I've walked out on: Bad Company - I figured "Hmmmm... Chris Rock and Sir Anthony Hopkins, this could be interesting. BOY... WAS I WRONG. Rollerball - When I walked into the Theatre, I figured "Damn, this is gonna be a hit. I wonder if i'll be able to get a Ticket" TO MY SURPRISE, I was one of 9 people to see it. Not to mention that it BOMBED! Halloween: Resurrection - Only because the movie stopped during the first 15 minutes. I left, then came back after they fixed the problem.
