And the only person to turn a triple play in WS was Bill Wambs...something, I can never remember his name.. Eitehr way they all happened during the I think 1920 world series and all for the indians IIRC, didn't these all occur in the same World Series game as well? That was one weird game. The pitcher that hit into the triple play hit into a double play his next at-bat, setting a World Series record for most outs responsible for in two at-bats. NFL - Name the quarterback who appeared in championship games in each year of his career. NBA - Harry got it. Kareem won MVPs with Milwaukee (1971, 1972, 1974) and Los Angeles (1976, 1977, 1980). Moses Malone won MVP's for Houston (1979, 1982) and Philadelphia (1983). I have to put a my bad here - Wilt Chamberlain also won for two different teams - the Philadelphia Warriors (1960) and the Philadelphia 76ers (1966, 1967, 1968). NFL - Otto Graham. Graham played in all four AAFC title games as the Browns QB from 1946-1949. The Browns entered the NFL in 1950, and Graham played in every title game from 1950 to 1955, when he retired. Rollie Fingers Mike Marshall Sparky Lyle and Goose Gossage Vern, you got the last two but missed the first one. Jim Konstanty won the NL MVP in 1950. He won 16 games and saved 22 for the NL champion Philadelphia Phillies. He wound up being the surprise starter for Game 1 of the World Series that year and didn't do too badly, only gave up one run but lost the game. Mike Marshall won the NL Cy Young in 1974, going 15-12 with 21 saves for the Dodgers, and appearing in a record 106 games. Sparky Lyle won the AL Cy Young in 1977, winning 13 games and saving 26 for the Yankees. I'm trying to remember the title of Sparky's book, which I read and found very entertaining as he chronicled the 1978 season when he got replaced with Gossage and was moved into middle relief. No kidding, there was a baseball player for the Giants by that name. I think it gets overlooked because another WS moment occured the same game. Willie Mays caught a fly ball or something like that.
