I won't be seeing it, but then again, I was stupid enough to waste a couple of hours of my life on downloading Rock-Goldberg, so maybe I'll actually watch this PPV, if only to see the ladder match and the IC Battle Royal.

 

I'd just like WWE to do a little experiment. Put Triple H, Nash, Hogan and Big Show off ONE PPV and just see what kind of buyrate it gets.

This was my first time watching RAW in like 4 years (I finally sprung for cable) and Jesus Christ did it suck the sweat off a dead man's balls. Blame Triple H and Nash if you want, but Austin and Eric killed the damn show dead from the start with the pointless return of the IC belt and the RAW announce crew going over again. But more on that later...

The first 30 minutes was devoted to J.R. in a predictable spot where he'd get his job back. Canadian workers go 0-1

 

next match was a tag title match, predictable finish, and since Test is Canadian...0-2

 

Next match AT 10:23 PM! 80 goddamn minutes into the show before match 3! Which was Storm (over huge with the crowd) get squashed...Canadians 0-3

 

Then came the Frenchies squashing jobbers Tommy Dreamer, who always gets a huge pop, and Spike.

 

Then Trish losing a pointless match. Canadians 0-4.

 

Then an ending which sucked balls, making Christian look like a bitch. Much like Jericho did earlier.

 

So you're in Canada and you have Canadian workers go 0-4 and make Christian and Jericho look like shit? You have 2 matches in the first 80 minutes then squeeze 4 more out in 40...and you have a Nash/HHH brawl that no one cared for and that went on for days.

 

Granted, the Austin stuff was good...but the show was shit.

Who gives a shit about Canada besides Canadians?RAW sucks,Smackdown sucks , WWE sucks overall.

Maybe it's just me looking at the show through mark-colored glasses but aside from the far too lengthy Nash / Triple H brawl (which was laughable), I didn't think the show was all that bad.

 

It might have been predictable in spots but when has wrestling not been predictable?

 

I'm noticing a lot more structure to the shows as of late. By hyping the matches for the following week and stretching out rivalries (Goldberg / Christian, Steiner / Frenchies, etc) they're giving us a reason to tune in - which is a great move considering the shape they're in.

Raw doesn't sound over bad, but then again it doesn't sound long. I'm sure it seems it. What's the moaning with the IC Title about now? Like I said in another thread, the IC Title needs to be around to reward guys like Jericho and HBK, while keeping them from the HHHTitle. Oh, and maybe a Hurricane push.

If they were smart they'd leave the worthless hunk of tin on the side and not bother with this retarded idea. Oh let's have a battle royal with everyone who won it (just on RAW even) and there will STILL be 10 guys in there. Doesn't this clue anyone into just how worthless the damn thing is when you'll have guys like Goldust and Morley in there? It just highlights the problem they had with the belt to begin with, that it traded hands so many times that it no londer mattered!

I agree that Raw needs a midcard belt, especially since the clique doesn't want to share its belt. The problem is, here's another major storyline that's been wiped away again. So HHH unified the original IC title with the cliquewelt belt. That sucks, but ok, it's been done, so let's move on.

 

Just a few months later they resurrect it again? WTF? It's not the initial bad decision that stings, it's the running back and forth. Just like unifying the titles, only to create two "top level" belts just a few months later. Either do it, or don't.

The HHH/Nash segment was way to long. After they made it through the curtain it should have ended. The first 30 minutes were the best. When Austin was leading Morley to believe he was getting his job back and then fired him anyway, I laughed my ass off!

Since they are bringing the IC Belt back, it takes away basically the entire lineage of the World Title. Now it really does only date back to September.

They need to seriously get the belt off HHH and put it someone that can carry the company. It's sad that the WWE doesn't realize that Jericho is just DYING to be the next huge babyface if they ever do it. Goldberg is Goldberg, and he's one of the last people who should be champion. HHH has already destroyed RVD/Kane over the Fall of 2002, so no crediblity there. HBK and Nash? Uh, no. Get the Kliq the fuck off Raw, and WWE in general.

Putting over the hometown heroes keeps the crowd hot. And a hot crowd can help the atmospher of a show. If you keep ripping out the crowds heart out you're going to be left with a sucky show.

It's like they forgot they were gonna be in Canada when writing out this show on the napkins. Not just jobbing out all the Canadians, but then they have Nash punk out Jericho when Nash is expected to be the face in the big brawl. Big mistake.

 

That's besides the fact that Nash can't pull off a brawl like that to begin with. Just put him on the mic. He always gets over huge that way (the only way).
