Guest Coffey Report post Posted May 8, 2003 I like it. I don't think the name Spike TV is ignorant. I think the logo looks fine. I don't see what the problem is. Anything is better than "The New TNN!!!!!" Great..The New Nashville Network! We've Got Pop! We got rid of them there cowboy hats and those damn two modern day robin hoods and got some Pop! Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2003 The logo isn't what I'm concerned about. What I *am* concerned about is the billions of commercials we'll so OVER AND OVER each Raw break. With the "New TNN" commercials, it was the doped-sounding "cool guy" [who wasn't cool at all, imo], so what are they going to do with the next batch of commercials? Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 8, 2003 If they must force this dumb ass name on us, at least give us a good logo featuring an actual Spike.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Blah that logo seems like something you'll see on a bottle of perfume. The image the station wants would be better suited for a logo with a bold geometrical font.

Guest mickberna Report post Posted May 8, 2003 If you check out the advertising artwork, this network is looking like it will become the "Express for Men" of television channels. You know, for men who spend all their free time preening and buying ribbed turtleneck sweaters and jeans with "crease lines" on them and buying designer stuff for no particular reason... In other words, ghey.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted May 8, 2003 Definatly looks kinda femmy. Of course, when we heard Spike, most of us thought it would be the first all-gay network, so at least they have a plan. and when you think about it, Raw would be a great choice for a gay men's network. Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted May 8, 2003 That logo seems lacking. I was expecting some bold and expressive, considering it is a male-dominated station and had a name like Spike TV. Though, I agree with Yuna. I am not terribly excited about the commercials they are likely going to play to advertise that they are indeed Spike TV now. It gets especially annoying during the morning when I am watching VIP and they need to show them a hundred or so times to fill ad space. It's like "You're the NEW TNN! I GET IT ALREADY!" Guest Danny Dubya v 2.0 Report post Posted May 9, 2003 Heh... Cowboy Bebop would be a good choice anime for an all men's channel... especially a one named Spike =P Nothing good can really come out of this though. Except though if it lowers the ratings. That's always beneficial.
