Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 # Dave Lagana, who is the head writer for the Smackdown brand, is said to be the person behind the rebirth of the F.B.I. gimmick. Officials were considering adding a few non-Italian wrestlers to make it like the ECW version, but the idea was scrapped. # WWE agent Bruce Pritchard is the person behind the pairing of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Sean O'Haire. This was done in response to critics who feel the company has a lot of older wrestlers, but none of which are helping to get the younger guys over. # The idea to bring Shane McMahon back to feud with Hulk Hogan has apparently been scrapped. # The wrestlers who worked the company's recent tour of South Africa are said to be very upset with the low payoffs for the shows. There is even talk that many of the wrestlers are planning to get together to voice their displeasure to management. (Thanks to The Pro Wrestling Torch) # There is frustration among WWE workers since Raw and Smackdown are mostly based around part-timers, who don't go on the road. This causes the house shows to draw poorly since the wrestlers featured on television aren't there, which results in lower payoffs for the wrestlers who work them. # Goldberg apparently injured himself at the conclusion of last week's RAW after the show went off the air. The plan was to end the show for the live crowd with Goldberg giving Eric Bischoff the jackhammer. The ring, having been drenched with beer from the "beer bash", caused Goldberg to slip and nearly drop Bischoff on his head, and may have injured his wrist on the landing. He was icing it after the show but didn't go the the hospital so it isn't believed to be too serious. (Thanks to The Wrestling Observer) # The original name for the tag team of Sylvan Grenier and Rene Dupree was actually La Coeque (pronounced "Cock"). # Batista's triceps injury is one that will likely plague him throughout his wrestling career, which leads some to believe that he may be forced to retire from the business. # WWE signed Johnny Jeter to a devlopmental contract this week. Jeter is one of Jim Cornette's students and is currently one of the top stars in OVW, along with Matt Morgan and Nick Dinsmore. (Thanks to The Wrestling Observer) # Booker T was hospitalized earlier today at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Philadelphia due to flu-like symptoms, including dehydration. Booker wrestled at Friday night's house show in Wilkes-Barre, PA but was unable to compete at last night's event in Newark, Delaware. At this point, it appears that he'll be flying home to Houston tomorrow and will not be appearing at tomorrow night's RAW in Philadelphia.

They meant the older wrestlers take all the TV time and won't put over anyone else.

I'm sure the WWE will still find a way to shove him down our throats regardless,

Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Come on guys. Yeah, we won't see him wrestle anymore, but can you think of the state of mind he is in? He may never wrestle again. There is nothing funny about that.
Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted May 12, 2003 # Batista's triceps injury is one that will likely plague him throughout his wrestling career, which leads some to believe that he may be forced to retire from the business. Awesome. Ah yes... nothing like being overjoyed that a man may have to give up his career just because... oh forget it... bastards
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Your right. It's really only funny when he does wrestle
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted May 12, 2003 It's not Batista's fault that he was pushed down everyones throat and given a high profile role in the company. The guy was an AWFUL wrestler but considering that his wife is/was suffering from cancer and he had recently achieved his dream- I think being happy over his possible retirement is a bit mean. Guest Sakura Report post Posted May 12, 2003 but can you think of the state of mind he is in? What about my state of mind when he is on my tv? The man sucks at his job. People like him have taken away the love of my hobby. He didn't deserve the job in the first place. Screw being nice to him.

Oooh, it's men like him that have taken away your hobby. Well fucking cry me a river. If you wish injury upon a man just because you don't like his character on a TV SHOW, then you my friend, not only need a new hobby, but a fucking life

If you wish injury upon a man just because you don't like his character on a TV SHOW, then you my friend, not only need a new hobby, but a fucking life I am not wishing injury on him because I don't like his character on a TV Show. I am happy he is injured because he is partially responsible for taking away something I loved. Do not call me selfish when you're throwing a fit(complete with flames) because someone doesn't think the same way as you.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 12, 2003 If Rocky Maivia had suffered a career ending injury in late '96-early '97, people would have most likely been thrilled to death, and look how he turned out. Sure, Batista may not be the greatest wrestler in the world now, but he's still green (and probably shouldn't be on TV yet) and celebrating the fact that he may have to retire is beyond mean. I'd love to see you lying in bed with a broken leg and Batista come up to you and laugh in your face.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted May 12, 2003 What have I done to Batista? Nothing.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 12, 2003 You celebrated the fact that he was injured and that he may have to retire from what is probably his dream job.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Which he deserves. Instead of going to the hospital to laugh at me he should work on not sucking badly at his dream job.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Batista sucks. Him not being on my TV makes me happy. I see nothing wrong with that statement.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Not wanting him on your TV is one thing. Being happy that a relatively young man may have to retire from a job that he probably loves because he doesn't fit your narrow view of a what a wrestler should be is completely different.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted May 12, 2003 It's not his fault that Vince put him on TV when he was green as hell. Batista deserves to have his career possibly end right when it was starting because in the short while on TV he did not have good matches? Damn...
Guest Sakura Report post Posted May 12, 2003 My view is not narrow. The man just sucks. Why is Batista's love for his job more important than my love of wrestling?
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Um, there's a difference between you not liking wrestling and a man forced to retire from wrestling when he's still young and apparently has a family to support. I didn't like Batista much either but JESUS, to wish something like this or laugh and celebrate at someone else like this is absolutely disgusting. And if Batista really ruins wrestling THAT MUCH for you, then you're over-reacting, because there have been TONS of Batistas before, and you're still watching, are you not? Guest Sakura Report post Posted May 12, 2003 Um, there's a difference between you not liking wrestling and a man forced to retire from wrestling when he's still young and apparently has a family to support. What's the difference? He doesn't need to wrestle to support his family. He can get a job somewhere else, a job he doesn't suck at. and no, I'm NOT still watching.
