There is frustration among WWE workers since Raw and Smackdown are mostly based around part-timers, who don't go on the road. This causes the house shows to draw poorly since the wrestlers featured on television aren't there, which results in lower payoffs for the wrestlers who work them.

 

Doesn't this remind anyone of another little wrestling company that went out of business in 2001?

Even though Batista wasn't made to be a wrestler is sad that he will be forced to retire, he had a great look better than Brocky but that was it.Hopefully Vince realizes that is not a good idea to rush someone that's really green and expect him to become into a Kurt Angle overnight, even though Brocky has improved in the ring he still can't carry a main event quality match on his own.

look at the enviroment he's in. He went from OVW for a couple of years, then comes up to WWE whatever moveset he had there that he possibily did he can't do anymore in the WWE. In reality he only had a handful of matches considering his time in the WWE to other wrestlers who joined.

 

Batistia got that Hoss thats gonna Kill ya look which the WWE loves.

 

But sitting here listening to you people all happy about his injury is truly sick. Its not his fault the WWE sucks.... It never was...you cant blame any wrestler truly who has NO booking power or a Say of the WWE moveset and their Match scripts.

Anyway, I really don't understand all the Batista-hate going on. Nor do I get all the Goldberg-hate, but that's a totally different situation.

 

Batista is by all means a rookie, right on the same level as 1997 Rocky Maivia, pre-SummerSlam Brock Lesnar, boring no-character Sting-Lite John Cena, Terra Ryzen and many others. GIVE THE MAN SOME TIME! All you saw was a few one-to-five minute squashes that were being used to build him up as a monster -- the same thing you saw from Brock Lesnar for his first few months of TV time.

 

Batista only had one PPV match, and it was with someone who, while a veteran, isn't exactly Mr. Workrate (I believe his name was Kane). Is that even enough of a resume to convict the man of Impersonating a Talented Professional Wrestler? It's not like WWE just gave him the ball straight out of OVW and he squashed his way to the World Title (that was Lesnar, by the way). It's not like he was involved in a match that involved and errant kick that injured your childhood idol. The guy was just getting started and now he might have to retire from something he (might have) loved to do. That sucks for ANYONE, no matter how good or bad you think they are.

 

Imagine you had an older brother or a best friend who really wanted to be a baseball player. And let's say he made it all the way to AA ball, but it was clear he wasn't really major league material yet. If he blows his ACL and has to retire are you thinking, "That's actually a good thing, dude, because you sucked anyway. At least you won't be on my TV."

Batista needed a bit more seasoning in OVW. They did the right thing in making Flair his manager but all Flair did was overshadow him since the crowd would just WOOOOO and ignore Batista's match.

 

But being happy over him having to retire is just callous. It's not like he played politics or was an asshole like Nash or HBK.

 

Plus- His wife suffered/suffers from cancer so he probably really needed the money at the moment

Nunzio (as Little Guido) was the only real Italian in the first two incarnations of the group. The first had JT Smith, a black wrestler. The second had Tracy Smothers and Wildfire Tommy Rich, both southern hicks. Both teams were used as comedy fodder.

 

The last group was all Italian: Nunzio/Little Guido, Big Sal, and Tony Mamaluke.

I don't like Batista, but mainly because he was being misused. The only wrestlers I truly dislike are guys like Nash & Goldberg who could give a shit about doing their jobs. I don't care if they don't like the business, but they are getting paid to do it and they should honour that.

 

I though Batista could have worked out well as a bodyguard type for someone like Jericho or Matt Hardy, and although I wasn't a fan of his wrestling I certainly didn't want something like this. He deserves to be around and earn a living. He just doesn't deserve to be maineventing.

Exactly my opinion. Even Triple H actually works house shows. Nash and Goldy don't, they're rich, AND they suck. They're not going to make any efforts to improve. I don't think Nash really can, but some one in his condition should not be wrestling.

 

Of course, Nash is a greedy bastard. He set up a fund to pay for his son's college tuition rather than pay for it himself.
