Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted May 13, 2003 The video shown before the last CZW show, Then And Now, is available to download from czwwrestling.com Even if you aren't a CZW fan, even if you weren't an ECW fan, everyone should get this video. It's around 20 megs, so I know you 56K'ers will have some problems, but tough 'em out, because this is worth it. And before anyone can ask, this won't be released on Then and Now videos, or any others. http://www.czwwrestling.com/Media/10in10.wmv

LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Great to see CZW is now abusing their legal rights in posting the video which features copyrighted clips on their web site for everyone around the world to download.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted May 13, 2003 For the love of Satan Barber, it's a friggin' tribute video! They're not making a profit off of the video, they're not trying to hurt anyone, it's paying tribute to Viking Hall. Put your grudge away for 10 minutes and watch the thing. Dude, they don't have the rights to the video that they're using. I can't take old WWE clips, make a music video, and release the video through SMV, where people can buy it nationwide. It's ILLEGAL. Nobody's denying that they were trying to show respect. They were doing it illegally, though. ECW's parent company, HHG (sp?) Corporation and Pioneer Home Video owns the rights. CZW DOESN'T. Guest Joe_G Report post Posted May 13, 2003 God, those old ECW clips bring back memories. I remember when I started college in '95 and got on the 'net for the first time and found out about ECW. Then I found someone to sell me all of the television shows from '95. Good times. I might have to dig out those tapes tonight.
Guest EMAXSAUN Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Barber, Jesus. If you buy the show from SMV the 10 minute video is not there. They are allowed to put it on their website, because they are not making any money off of it. Jesus man.

They are allowed to put it on their website, because they are not making any money off of it. Jesus man. OK. I didn't know it wouldn't be used on the actual release. If it was, then it damn sure would be illegal. I'll admit it's alright as long as it's not on the release. Anyway, at the same time, one could easily make the case that CZW is living off of ECW's legacy. EVERYONE would be bashing XPW if it was XPW that did this show - EVERYONE on this board, DVDR, TOA, etc. It's good CZW realized that it was the 10 year anniversary, but they also did partially disrespect ECW by showing the video, seeing as how they took it upon themselves to bash ECW so often at their earlier shows and suddenly they're showing ECW respect. Bullshit. For CZW of all companies to take the credit of holding a show in honor of ECW is disrespectful. If anybody it should be a combo of all of the indy promotions that run in Philly, NOT just one show. Otherwise, it should be ROH, seeing as how they're run by former ECW employees. For ECW to take the credit of running the show is disrespectful jsut by the standards they've held themselves to over the last few years in terms of bashing ECW at shows. Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted May 14, 2003 Oh lord, you're seriously turning into nails on a chalkboard man. This was a celebration of 10 years of wrestling in VIKING HALL. NOT a blatant attempt to live off ECW's legacy- I think the point is that CZW is going to make their own legacy at the building and NOT live off ECW, just respect it. Hence "Then and Now" And I'd LOVE to know the exact CZW shows where they bashed ECW- was it the shows when Tommy Dreamer was working there? Or Tajiri and Super Crazy? Or how about the Tod Gordon-led ECW faction post COD 3? Tell me Mr. "I've seen 90% more CZW than anyone-no wait I've barely seen any." Slightly off topic fact- post COD3, VH officials told Zandig personally he could change the name to CZW Arena, and he refused. Guess which promotion jumped at the opportunity to rename the arena- and violate their lease agreement after two months? Anyone who questions what was no doubt a genuine and moving attempt to honor a historic wrestling site, is an anal-retentive with too much time on their hands. Geeze, The video is supposed to be about VIKING HALL's 10 year anniversary. It's not totally about ECW or CZW but more VIKING f'n Hall's legacy. Which CZW happens to be a part of. Seriously Barber, Does Rob Black pay you to be such an XPW troll? If so don't take a check...
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted May 14, 2003 I saw the first half of the video, because my comp fucked up the download halfway through. Deleted, downloading again. I liked what I saw though. Excellent transition from "Where The Streets Have No Name" (U2) to "Sad But True" (Metallica).

Shows how you are too ignorant to know the facts. CZW has been calling it the CZW Arena ever since they first ran in it at COD3. Try learning the facts before speaking. They pissed all over the arena on that first show
Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted May 14, 2003 (edited) Really? Because when I watch the tapes, I sure hear the words VIKING HALL a lot. What's the building called on CZW's website? VIKING HALL. What does Dennis Shock announce the arena as? VIKING HALL. And regardless, I think occassionally referring to the name as the CZW Arena once in a while out of convenience is hardly comparable to plannning to shoot and store hardcore fetish porn in it. Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted May 14, 2003 It is, it's an amazing tribute clip, the SMV production crew (who I'm assuming did this) have been putting together consistent blow-away video packages, and this is their best ever.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted May 14, 2003 I think CZW puts those packages together. I know Eric Loy did before he went away to college, and he mentioned something about CZW having an in-house production team or something. For all we know, it could just be Zandig's son and a copy of Final Cut Pro, but either way, I tip my hat to whomever makes those video packages, whether it's CZW, SMV, or whomever. Much better video packages then I could attempt to make. However, I'll be honest and say that my favorite package was made by Lars of Brutal Butcher Shoppe, the one for TOD.
