here is a list of the people I met in the wrestling business:

Sandman - Cool guy, pretty funny. Was trying to make people feel uncomfortable as a joke. COOL guy.

Axl Rotten - One of the nicest people I've met. Talked to me and a friend for about 20 minutes and he answered everything we asked him. VERY COOL.

Afa - Afa took a picture and was one of the nicest people in the sport I ever. TOTALLY AWESOME guy!!!!

Steven Richards - I met him back in the ECW days. He was kind of dorky though. Cool guy.

And I kinda met New Jack....I had this 20 X 30 I took to a show to try and get him to sign it. He saw it in the crowd and then asked if he could have it. How do you say no to a man that's killed people?

Shit, how could I forget that.

SS: "Hey New Jack, could you--"

NJ: "Oh man, can I have that?!"

SS: "Uh..."

NJ: "Please."

SS: "...sure."

That was about the whole thing, pretty funny actually.

Also on the same show (we had shitty seats) he had a 20x30 pic of Dawn Marie. Lance, Justin, and Dawn were in the ring. Lance wisphered something to Dawn then she turned to us and waved.

Cool dumb little things like that made ECW shows just great.

You sure it was the same show? We were close to the aisle when New Jack came out. The Dawn Marie incident...we were up in the bleachers at Toledo,I think, holding that 20 X 30 as high as we could. When Lance pointed out the pic to Dawn and then she waved to us, we marked out,oh yeah.

We saw Jack after the show, that's how we were close to the asile. Jack and Grimes brawled past us in the bleechers in that one.

Show was headlined by Sandman and Super Crazy vs Rhino and Tajiri.

I have it on tape, that's doccumented proof!

Rhyno: Really nice dude. I met him at an autograph signing at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto but he wasn't the only one there, I saw (but didn't meet) Stacy, Christian, Richards, Venis, Orton and a few others. I saw Carl Demarco too and yelled "Demarco! Where's Johnny Ace?!" which he laughed at but didn't respond to. Rhyno laughed when I told him about how I was at the ECW show in Mississauga (only one ever in Canada) and how I enjoyed seeing him gore Kid Kash through a table. He then said "Well, don't forget when I beat him over the head with the broken pieces of table."

Jazz: Same table as Rhyno at aforementioned autograh signing. Really courteous and nice, I told her I really missed ECW and she said that she did too.

Chris Benoit: One of the greatest moments of my life. The mans hands are so fucking thick and strong that I can only imagine what taking a chop from him is like. When I went up to him I said "It's an honour to meet you Mr.Pegasus" which he laughed at. I proceeded to ramble on about his work in Japan and Mexico and how it's very inspiring etc. I thought I was done and was ready to move on when he asked "Yeah, so what's going on over there? I don't get to watch it anymore" and I informed my good friend Chris Benoit about Mutoh, Ka-Shin and Kojima leaving AJPW and the Chono/Laurer feud in New Japan. He laughed pretty hard when I told him about Chyna wrestling Chono. Great, great guy. He singed a poster of himself which has a place of honour above my bed and a picture inside my copy of Pure Dynamite of Chris and DK.

Thanks to my job, I've gotten to meet numerous guys. Everyone was great to talk to, unless otherwise noted.

Backstage at Nitro, March 2000:

Hulk Hogan (first guy I got meet, though HE came up to ME. Was told I was their with guys from my company and went out of his way to make me feel welcome.)

Ric F'N Flair-came up to me and asked who I was and why I had backstage access. Told him who I worked for, and he immediately apologized if he sounded rude, shook my hand and said to have a good night.

Sting-took a pic with us with no gear on, then said he'd be back to take a pic with the gear on. Really nice guy.

Kidman

Lash LeRoux

Evan Karagias and Shane Helms (talked with me for over 5 minutes, took a pic, signed stuff, etc.)

Crowbar (MEGA cool guy)

Disco Inferno

Norman Smiley

Vampiro

Booker T.

Stevie Ray (actually sat with my boss' 10 year old son and read through the program/magazine with him)

Bam Bam Bigelow

Chris Candido (was before he even debuted on TV, talked for a bit)

Lenny Lane

David Flair-had a good 5-10 minute convo with him, really cool guy. Stacy was with him but kind quiet, she just really said hi to me.

RUDE PEOPLE-Lex Luger (walking around cockily like he owned the place), Shannon Moore (told my boss' 10 year old to "hurry up" when asking for an autograph/pic, and Jeff Jarrett (I think he got chewed out for some reason, wasn't really talkative).

Backstage at Axxess/WM X7

Had lunch with Mick Foley, Test, Val Venis, Ivory, Sgt. Slaughter in one of the rooms at the Astrodome.

Was in a room with Mark Henry, Tazz and Brian Christopher, but they were eating and talking so I didn't want to interrupt.

Met Cornette, Finkel, Heenan, Okerlund, Kane, Scotty and Sexay at various points.

Sgt. Slaughter's charity booth was right next to ours, so every day he'd be shooting the shit with us. Really nice guy, and he must've signed a ton of things for us.

Let's see.....

Shane Douglas - pretty cool guy

Justin Credible - pretty cool too

Raven - kind of a dick, but I think he was high

Kevin Nash - funny, looking to get head from Missy Hyatt and have some beer

DDP - really cool, takes time to talk like he's an average guy

Chris Benoit - ok

Dean Malenko - ok

I actually had met Nash once before when he was one of the Master Blasters

and my all time favorite meeting......Brian F'n Pillman

it was The Great American Bash 95 I think. I was hoping for a Hollywood Blonds reunion and had brought my HB sign for 3rd row seats ringside. Pillman was fighting Alex Wright in the curtain jerker. Anyways, Pillman and Alex were signing autographs over at the table in the lobby when we got there, so I got my Hollywood Blonds sign autographed. He got a real kick out of the sign and talked withe me for a bit. When he came out for his match, he was slapping hands with the fans and points into the crowd at my sign and gives me the thumbs up. Then in the ring he gives me the old Hollywood Blonds "movie camera". Well I was ecstatic (and piss drunk as they were selling 24 oz beers for like $1.50).

Greatest night of my life.

Dude you live in Dayton? I was at GAB 95 in the press box, I loved how Pillman was totally the favorite even though he had to put over that green Wright.

Earl Hebner came off as a major dick. He tells me that I got a nice shirt on. I say thanks and he stares at me in a evil way for like five secs. After I got my shirt signed, I said thanks and walked off.

I met the garbage wrestler Leatherface. He set up a autograph table with pictures of himself. But everyone rudely just got his autograph on their ticket stub. Not me. I got a picture of his (posing with Cactus Jack) signed for 5 bucks. Its rad. I have it in my room. Whoever he is. He wrestled a fairly kick ass garbage match (since it was live) against Massive Damage. And I got to hold his IWA Tag Team Championship belt.

Let me rephrase.

I walk up to him and and ask him if he could sign my shirt. He says "that's a really nice shirt", in a sarcastic way, then proceeds to stare at me for about five seconds. I just start laughing for no apparent reason and he still looks at me like he's gonna kill me. It might've been because I started a "you screwed Bret" chant earlier and he must've seen me. So yeah, he signs it and I say thanks and walk off.

Sorry about the nonsense in the other post. I was in a hurry.

Met OWEN back at a house show in 1988.

He was really just hangin out in doorway, sticking his head out watching some of the other matches, when a friend and I went over and said 'Hi'. He seemed kinda surprised that we reconized him(since he wasn't on the WWF roster at the time) and was more than happy to sign an autograph for me. Unfortunately, the program I had never had a picture of Owen, so he signed a pic of the WWF Logo.

Met MICK FOLEY entering the arena before a house show in 1997. Mick was really friendly and happy to sign autographs for all the fans who waited outside to see the wrestlers. I even shook his hand. Which seemed really big and hairy by the way.

At the same time, I took some pics and briefly spoke to HHH and CHYNA, who actually rode to the arena in the same rental car with MICK. They seemed as if they were a little more in a rush though. Hunter's nose is HUGE in person.

At the same time again, I briefly caught a glimpse and briefly spoke to the following: OWEN again, STEVE AUSTIN, BRET, AL SNOW and VADER (who arrived in a local Taxi).

At Axxess last year in Toronto, my friends and I met a few Wrestlers. At the autograph booth's, we met GOLDUST, BOOKER T, RIC FLAIR and DDP. All were real friendly, but were rushed of course, due to the lines.

At another booth, we seen STACY and TORRIE, and hooted and hollared at them like fools, they looked over and kinda laughed and smiled.

Finally, at the Legends booth, we held up the entire line for like 5 or 6 minutes talking to BROTHER LOVE, JIM CORNETTE, TONY GAREA and KILLER KOWALSKI. All of them were really happy to signed autographs and take pictures for us. BROTHER LOVE acknowledged us because of our Newfoundland Flags we had with us, and said "Oh God, here comes the Newfies!". I shook TONY GAREA'S hand and he said "ooh, take it easy now, that's my drinkin' hand". KILLER KOWALSKI kinda just sat there in a trance, he looked really old and kinda tired. Overall though, they were all really great to meet and talk to.

I met quite a few while attending HWA events last year. The short list...

"Surfer" Cody Hawk

Matt Stryker

Human Time Bomb

Shannon Moore

Spanky

Jamal & Rosey

Mike Awesome

Mike Sanders

All cool guys, talked to some longer than others but nothing more than "Good match guys" and moving on.

Sergeant Slaughter - we had great seats at a Raw event (we were like three feet from the announce table right next to the stage) and Sarge came out to meet his family. I waited until he was done talking to them and got his autograph. He was a cool guy and a childhood hero. Good stuff.

Chris Benoit - When he was coming back from his injury he was at HWA. Didn't really work, but signed autographs and pictures. My wife and I got our picture taken with him, and he was the friendliest guy you could imagine. He told a friend of ours that she had a nice smile and made her night, she still talks about that when he is on TV. "Chris Benoit thinks I have a nice smile."

He was so nice, we came up with new lyrics to his entrance music...

"Chris Benoit is here and he's really nice.

Chris Benoit is here and he's really friendly."

I can blow you all away:

I have met:

Vince McMahon - Nice guy. Had a TON of security around him. I asked him "How can I work for you?" "Talk to Human Resources". Heh, I was young.

Shane McMahon - Nice guy, was drinking when I showed up and was still kind enough to take a pic.

Linda McMahon - After meeting Vince, she leaned in and shook my hand and asked me what I wanted to do for a living. I told her that I wanted to be a booker and she said "well, make sure you get your degree and we'll talk in a few years." I didn't :(

Stephanie McMahon - I was COMPLETELY fawning over her. She had just turned heel and was with Triple H for the first time and it shows in her autograph as she signed it Steph McMahon Helmsley, but the Helmsley looked like she's not used to writing it. She was smiling and blushing cuz I wouldn't shut up about her compliments.

Triple H - Cool guy actually. He let me hold the WWF World Title...but looked PISSED when I told him that I wanted to take a pic ALONE with Steph. He butted into the pic anyway.

Brian Gerwitz - VERY cool guy. We spoke at WWF NY after Michael Hayes called him out and said he was a WWF writer. I bumrushed him and told him that he was living my dream...

We met again a few times after that, having some long conversations about wrestlers and booking and things like that. He had the Summerslam script in his bag. I gave him a script I had written for a show...and then they used about 90% of it, no shit. I asked if I could get an internship with the writing team and he basically told me to get my degree and I'm in. I fucked up BIG TIME.

Chris Jericho - HILARIOUS. He backed into me while I was making a beeline to talk to Vince and excused himself. He was my favorite wrestler at the time so I marked out. He then asked me for my name.

"Damian"

"How you doing Danny"

"No, its Damian"

"Nice to meet you Danny. What? You forgot my gimmick?"

We hung out for about a half hour...turned into DRUNKACHO~! and cockblocked me...talking to this waitress that I was kickin' it to all night. But eventually, she came back to me and DRUNKACHO~! took a pic for me of me and her.

Christian - Nice guy. Smiled for a pic when he was still with the Brood and NEVER smiled.

Bossman - Didnt' say shit, but signed and took a pic.

Mark Henry - Got mad at me... I shook his hand, but since my hands were so full, I was holding a pen in it and practically stabbed him with it. He signed and said "next time you shake somebodys hand, don't hold a pen in it..." Looked pretty pissed about it.

Bradshaw/Faarooq - He and Farrooq were drinking and some girl scouts (literally) all went up to them to get their pics taken. I was going to as well, but then I saw the scouts and felt bad because I didn't want to take their time away. Bradshaw looked at me and said "nah, man, its ok" and went to pose for a pic with me. Faarooq was drunk out his ASS and dove into the picture frame and the last second, but it looks good. His fist is bigger than my head.

Jim Ross - Said hi...then shilled the buffet. "Try the shrimp when you get downstairs, its great". Surreal.

D'Lo Brown - Nice guy.

Mean Street Posse - They were dicks except for Pete Gas. All signed and took pics though.

Test - I asked to take a pic with him...and he said "i'm kinda drunk man...sorry". I walked away. I turn around and he's taking a pic with some girl. Eh.

Val Venis - Nice guy.

Road Dogg - Nice guy.

Billy Gunn - Nice guy.

Tazz - He and Cole were hosting Heat from WWF NY and during a commercial break, I said "TAZZ...Mets or Yankees!" I'm wearing a Yankees jersey and hat and he screams..."METS! AHAHAHAHA!!!" Everyone laughs at me and then he goes "Nah, I'm just kiddin with ya, Yankees".

Michael Cole - Just said hi during the Heat taping.

Chyna - Was very nice when she signed her book.

Shawn Michaels - I didn't say A WORD to him besides Thank you. I didn't want his autograph, it was for someone else. He was cordial though.

Bret Hart (5 times) - Ah...where to begin.

The first time was at MSG for Fan Fest before WM X. I didn't get to go to the actual show, just Fan Fest. I got on the line to meet Bret as it was ending and I was the last person cut off. He signed for everyone and I was BEGGING to meet him. Security escorted him back to the locker room. I got past the curtain undetected somehow, I was nervous as hell and I started opening doors to find him. I opened up Yoko's locker room door accidentally and he said "What the fuck are you doing here!" in PERFECT ENGLISH. This is during his whole "can't speak a lick" phase. I got into Bret's locker room and pleaded my case. He didn't get mad or anything, just gave me some of the pink shades he wore to the ring and signed them. I walked out HAPPY.

The second time, I was at a signing and he had his kids with him. After I got my stuff signed, I started talking to his kids, especially the youngest one, Blade. The kid was only 4 or 5 at the time, I think and was willing to just talk to me about ANYTHING. We were talking about Batman when Blade left...and gave me two tickets to the show. Turns out those were front rows that they were supposed to raffle off, so I gave them back. Bret acknowledged me, took his kid and went home after the signing.

I met him two other times, but nothing memorable.

The last time though...was GREAT. He'd already been retired and was doing a autograph/signing for 20 bucks a pop. I saw him...and pulled out a photo I had of me and Blade from the other signing and he remembered me. He had been divorced from his wife and kids (before the stroke) and hadn't seen them in a while. He got a tear in his eye and signed almost everything I had for free. I love Bret Hart.

Bob Backlund - Signed for me.

Brian Lawler - Kind of a dick. Signed but refused to take a pic.

Scotty 2 Hotty - He took a pic with me instead. Nice guy.

Rikishi - Total ass, literally. When I asked to take a pic, he walked away and pretended not to hear me.

Matt Hardy/Jeff Hardy - Matt is a nice guy. I asked them to sign and they did...and when I asked Jeff and Matt to take a pic together...Jeff ran away, so I got Matt alone.

Tajiri - Nice guy, spoke to me in Spanish and took a pic with me.

Johnny Swinger - At an ECW show and I asked him how his orbital bone was healing. He asked me how I knew..."the Internet".

Steve Corino - Really nice guy. Did a Q and A on a bus trip I was on and I asked him if anyone was ever upset by any of his on air comments. He talked in detail about how when he said that Dusty cut the brakes on Magnum TA's car, he expected a backlash, but got none. Said the only person he has heat with is Missy Hyatt.

Low-Ki - Also did a Q and A on the bus and I asked him if he would ever tone down his style to get into WWE and he said no. Afterwards, we talked for a while about his inspirations to the business. He's a HUGE Muta mark.

Quiet Storm - Met him at the ECWA Super 8. He was in attendance as a fan. Asked him "How did you come up with the Storm Cradle Driver?" "I used to do it on my Ultimate Warrior doll when I was 8". "Cool, I used to Fishermans Suplex a big stuffed bumble bee". Anyone else would have just laughed, but he was really cool.

Edge - VERY nice guy. I said "can I call you Adam?" "Sure" We talked a bit and said that Matt Hardy is one of his closest friends.

Gangrel - Nice guy. Took a pic with him and he's mighty scary looking.

Luna Vachon - She was nice...scary looking too. Signed my autograph book and practically ripped a whole in it with all the force she signed it with.

Kurt Angle - Nice guy. Kept bugging Steve Blackman to leave the party so they could get a good nights sleep for the next day.

Steve Blackman - Nice guy. Kept arguing with Angle about staying at the party...pretty hilarious.

British Bulldog - Told me to wait 10 minutes while he went out and came back. I figured he wouldn't come back, but he did and he took a nice pic with me.

Albert - Quiet guy.

Ivory - Great person to be around. She was a little tipsy and kicked one of the dancers off stage so she could start dancing. I was underneath the stage...and lets just say that she wasn't wearing any underwear and I saw her lips. She got down eventually and started dancing with me.

Lillian Garcia - She danced with me too...but Al Snow looked jealous as hell. He was with her before I cut in.

Al Snow - Nice guy. Took a pic with me...and when it was time to shoot for the pic, he pulled on my head and posed like a psycho.

Maven - Nice guy. Met him after he won Tough Enough.

Nidia - Blew me a kiss after she won Tough Enough

Josh Matthews - Nice guy...seems REALLY depressed that he lost.

Chris Harvard - After the cameras got off the air at the Tough Enough finals, the fans were booing him and he was just egging them on even more. He LOVED it. I knew he'd make a great heel. Met him again in the wrestlers hotel for X8, the Crowne Plaza. He just got out of bed. Signed the Tough Enough soundtrack for a friend.

Bubba Ray Dudley - Dick.

D-Von Dudley - Nice guy....told me not to pay attention to Bubba, cuz he's got his period.

Tommy Dreamer - VERY cool guy. I asked him about his back and he went into detail about his surgery and all that.

Howard Finkle - Also a nice guy. We talked about how he got started...and eventually talked about how I could get started.

Michael Hayes - Also a nice guy. Directed me to Gerwitz.

Jonathan Coachman - Nice guy. Met him a couple of times.

Terri Runnels - Nice.

Stacy "The Kat" Carter- Nice to me. Kept growling at me like a cat...

Tori - Quiet.

New Jack- Funny story. He wrestled at an ECW show in Schenectady and later on, went out to sit in the crowd and watch the rest of the show. I was walking by and he almost fell. I caught him and helped him up the stairs. Looked at me and said "my leg hurt". "Ok..."

Balls Mahoney - Better story. My friend and I went up to him because my friend was a big Balls mark, but was too shy to say anything. He went up to him and just shook his hand. Balls said "you don't have anything you want me to sign?" My friend: "I don't have anything with me". Balls then takes a fucking THUMBTACK out of his pocket...sticks it IN his forehead...pulls it out. "There you go, that's for you".

Rhyno - Same show. He was still the "rookie monster" in ECW. One of my friends looked at him and said "COOKIE MONSTER!" He turned to us, pointed and said..."STUPID!"

Francine - I kept shouting "FRANCINE!" into the locker room in my best Paul E impression. She started running around and eventually saw me. Sunny said "What does he want!?" Francine: "It's just a fuckin fan!"

Chilly Willy (ECW) - Nice guy

Nova - Played a big rib on me....

Donnie B. - Here's the rib. I went up to Donnie B and said "Whats up Nova". I HONESTLY didn't know it was him because they looked so much alike at the time. I had met Nova before...and saw him before the show. Nova and I had a convo about something, I don't remember what, told me to find him during the show, he'd be wearing a pink shirt. When I saw Donnie B., we talked about the same things, thinking it was Nova...took a picture with me and everything. Then, while Donnie B. was with me, Nova came out to wrestle. I turned around and Donnie B. smiled...and ran behind the curtain. When Donnie B. came out to manage the Backseat Boys that night, I kept shouting "The B stands for BASTARD".

Mick Foley - NICE GUY. I went to a book signing for Halloween hijinx at WWF NY. I didn't have the book though...although it was required to meet Mick. My girl at the time was with me and had it, so I kept passing it off like I had it...eventually, I got to Mick and put my Foley Is Good book up there for him to sign. He says "Foley is Good huh?" "Foley is Good", I said. He signed it and winked at me. My ex was actually upset that I got mine signed because she had all of Mick's books with her and figured he wouldn't sign anything besides Hijinx. She basically begged me to go back in and get the others signed...she was too chickenshit to do it herself. I walked in and I put Have A Nice Day and Christmas Chaos on the table, cuz no one was left on the line for Foley. I told Mick what happened and he said "So, your girlfriend is mad at you right now?" "Yeah..." "If I sign this, is it possible that she'll forgive you then? " "I hope so". He signs it. "If you two get married...and then get divorced, I get a cut. Just kidding, tell her I said hi".

Donovan Morgan - Nice guy. Met him before he won the Super 8.

Red - Quiet, like Always.

Xavier - VERY funny guy. Kept talking about how the fans chant AC Slater at him...but he'd BEAT Mario Lopez's ASS.

AJ Styles - Nice guy. I took a pic with him and Noble at the same time.

Jamie Noble - I said "Jamie By God Noble!" "By God is right!" Took the pic with me and Styles.

The Hit Squad - Tried to get me to buy some RF Video tapes.

The SAT's. - Joel Maximo kept trying to hit on my ex girlfriend. Fucker.

Damien Dragon (indy worker) - We had a fake argument. I basically cut a promo on him saying that he stole my name and my finisher (he was doing a Fishermans Buster at the time) and he couldn't even do it justice. Poor guy's response sucked.

I KNOW that I'm missing some.

I envy you so much Dames. I must be missing something, but how the hell did you meet all these guys?

He used to work at WWF NY, I believe.

That pic with Seph should go back into your sig. Steph's evil sexy scowl and HHH trying to lean his head over your shoulder are great.

I met Adam Bomb once. Yeah, that's it. Wasn't that memorable, either.
