God...I mean yeah Nash/HHH wasn't Steiner/HHH ugly but it wasn't even Mid 90's Jobber squash pretty. I would imagine just having a Street Fight would be better then a match that RESCRICTS thier movements... No one is willing to take a bump..So they will hype it as a deadly match and it will suck...along the lines of UT/Bossman...

Storytelling at it's best) Taker vs Mankind=**1/2 (this hasn't aged well for me at all) Taker vs Bossman= -** (complete and utter tripe. the epitome of Russocity-having a gimmick match just to have it) HHH vs Foley=****3/4 (can't go full monty on this for some reason, but damn good) Angle vs Stone Cold vs Rock vs Taker vs HHH vs Rikishi=***1/2 (solid ppv main event match. Taker's push slam on Rikishi to the flat bed is hilarious) HHH vs Jericho=**3/4 (wrong man going over hurts this for me) Brock vs Taker=***1/4(I think I am the only person who thought this wasn't bad at all. Taker had biggest juice job I've seen in awhile)

"The Measuring Stick" ***** Undertaker Vs Mankind -The match that changed the landscape of WWF. ***** (Historic and Entertainment scale)...**3/4 (normal standard) Kane Vs Mankind -The forgotten Match. Only Free HIAC match ever. ***. Bossman Vs Taker -The Goldberg/Bam Bam of HIAC. Horrible. *3/4 HHH Vs Foley -Most emotional HIAC. ****1/4 Armagededdon Six Pac -The most innovotive HIAC but felt flat. ***. Triple H Vs Jericho -No Holds Barred essistantly. ***1/4 Brock Lesnar Vs Undertaker -Saved the HIAC gimmick. Great Storyline. ***1/2.

I think people were just rating the ppv HIAC's, which is what the gimmick should be relegated to in the first place. The Kane/Foley freebie match was a Russo thing. Having gimmick matches with no backstory or buildup to them and completely missing the point of the match.

I'd say around 3 stars from memory Armageddon:Around 2 and a half Snow vs Bossman: 5 stars Lesnar vs Undertapper: Around 3 stars. THis was a fun match

Rendclaw Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 In response to the comment about the brawl involving anyone else, I remember a pretty big backlash to the last overbooker piece of shit brawl involving someone other than those two being the Austin, Booker one in the supermarket, pure shit. The last really god one I could think of was Benoit Angle from I think around Halloween. acutally the supermarket brawl was *funny*, overbooked though it may have been.. and it led to one of the funniest promos i have heard from a non-wrestler, when LL Cool J, basically put Booker in his place. I wish I had that on my computer... But what does that say when a guest star can cut a better promo that half or even three-quarters of the roster?
