Guest Shaved Bear Posted February 1, 2002 Report Posted February 1, 2002 woooo i was the first person to say something here, i feel special
Guest Kinetic Posted February 3, 2002 Report Posted February 3, 2002 Maybe it's because of the technical difficulties this board has been having or just the transition from EZBoard to Ikonboard has everyone as angry and frustrated as me, but this forum hasn't quite taken off. Come on, people! Post something about music! Christ!
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Kinetic, what do you think of this album:
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Other people can say what they think of that album, too. Great summertime sorta record. And I never refer to albums seasonally, so that I making an exception for Forever Changes means that it's really special. fake edit: And Kinetic is currently in his "I don't like any music released after 1982" phase, so I was curious as to what he thought of something from 1968.
Guest Derek Bailey Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 I haven't heard the full album, but I saw Love last month and I enjoyed them very much. I agree about the summertime vibe. Arthur Lee's barrage of bitter comments regarding being billed below Tindersticks was enjoyable too.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Oh man, that's awesome. I understand Arthur Lee is still capable of putting on a good show, but I'd rather see Tindersticks than him. edit: Wait, this means you've seen Tindersticks. You're a bastard, is what you are. They rarely tour the States; when they do, they come nowhere near Florida. Gah.
PLAGIARISM! Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 I'll be drunkenly crooning along at glastonbury when they headline the acoustic stage. Fuck. Yes.
TheFranchise Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Kinetic, what do you think of this album: ... This used to be Ikonboard?
spiny norman Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 It as underrated album that doesn't get recognised for being awesome as it deserves to be. An overlooked masterpiece of the era, in the same vain as Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica.
The Decemberists Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Only you can actually sit through Forever Changes and listen to it all the way through....
