Guest Hulkamania Fan Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Why in the hell are HBK,HHH & Big Daddy Cool Diesal still trying to take the spotlight? These guys cant carry the company anymore and fans aint paying their money just to see these 3 wrestlers. At one time the Kliq did rule wrestling but not anymore. These guys are trying to become main eventers again but they cant not now because there 2 old and fans are board of the Kliq. HBK,X.Pac,Nash,HHH & Scott Hall should get the message which is the Kliq died in 1998. HBk you once said the Kliq owns wrestling well guess your wrong you son of a bitch. Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Think about it......the kliq was only cool when it was an insider thing. Now EVERYBODY knows about it..........
Guest Goodear Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Well thats... different. Seriously, the Clique is as dead as dirt to be honest and we're simply in the land of Triple H being able to pick and choose his opponents. It does not seem to me as though the group itself is directing the company's policy so much as Triple H as a single entity dominating the scene. But why you would single out Michaels at this point, I wouldn't know since the guy is really hardly on television.
Guest Hulkamania Fan Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Fans knew about the Kliq in 1997 because fans use to hold up signs saying the Kliq must die. The Kliq was never cool it was just 5 bastards trying to hold down younger wrestlers and stop every wrestler from maineventing ppvs. The Kliq was a selfish group
Guest Goodear Report post Posted May 27, 2003 And Hogan is different... How?
Guest Hulkamania Fan Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Hogan didnt hold back Wrestlers and say he would not drop to this guy. Hogan also didnt say who he would fight and would not fight. The Kliq thought they owned the Wwf / e back then and maybe they did because they were the top stars but fans didnt come just to see them. The Kliq was the most hated real life backstage group ever. He didn't hold guys back and he didn't refuse to drop the title to certain people?? Tell that to Steamboat and Bret Hart... I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it Hey, being a Hogan fan is okay by me. I always have been, and probably always will be. You can be an educated smart mark and have a "guilty pleasure" in liking Hogan, Taker, or HHH. But DONT deny reality. I like Hogan, but it's absurd for me to sit here and say that he was a consummate professional and that he didn't abuse his power... I mean, COME ON!

Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Hogan had his fair share of politics as well, but the difference to me is that Hogan always did care about the fans. He simply seemed to think that he was doing what the fans wanted, when in reality they were rejecting him in WCW. The Clique are obviously out for themselves, and themselves only. Hogan's delusional, while the Clique are just bastards. That puts Hogan slightly above them in my book. PS: Make no mistake. The Clique doesn't have power. HHH has power, and they are just hanging on like leeches. HHH could give a shit about Justin Credible, which is why he was humiliated and fired. He was X-Pac's friend, not HHH's. Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 27, 2003 At least Hogan had the good sense to KNOW that he was best off laying down left and right for Angle, Lesnar and Rock... Amazing...Hogan hasn't had many complaints backstage since his return other then one or two minor squabbles over the contract... I haven't heard of him refusing to lay down or do any thing... Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted May 27, 2003 I have heard Hogan say before that he will job if the writers have plans for him. In WCW he refused to job (namely to Jarrett) because he felt that Russo was trying to run him out of the company (which he was). He has jobbed plenty of times since his BATB heel turn, both in WCW (to the likes of Piper, Goldberg & Luger) and in WWE. He can be a jerk at times (like at Starrcade 1997), but he is much better than the Clique. He is also more intelligent than the Clique. Hogan still retains a lot of power, and has done so since he left the AWA. X-Pac & Hall are almost run out of wrestling by this point, and Shawn has had numerous problems with management over the years and is only being kept around as a favour to HHH. HHH & Nash are the only Clique members that are really able to manipulate things to their advantage (HBK just had temper tantrums).
Guest Hulkamania Fan Report post Posted May 28, 2003 The reason I brought this subject up is because I was watching an old Wwe Raw show and HBK was in the ring and he started saying the Kliq is the owns the Wwf. Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted May 28, 2003 The reason I brought this subject up is because I was watching an old Wwe Raw show and HBK was in the ring and he started saying the Kliq is the owns the Wwf. You do realise he wasn't talking about the Clique (which is the proper name for the Michaels-Nash-HHH-Waltman-Hall-whoever group) don't you? "The Kliq" was a name Michaels made up to refer to his legions of fans, as sort of an insider rib so when he would say stuff like "The Kliq owns the WWF" all the net nerds would get their panties in a frenzy like you are doing now. I don't think Hogan was the only reason Bret and Steamboat never got the World Title while he was around. Vince was still heavy on the 'big men are good' policy until the steroids trial. Sure there was Savage, and to a lesser extent DiBiase. But I doubt it was all Hogan. Sure there was the whole Savage a champ thing, there was Yokozuna at WMIX, and there was Kidman. But Kidman was understandable, and hell he put over Lesnar and Angle big time last year. He put Rock and Edge over big the year before. Hell, I'm a Hogan fan...I'm bias I guess. "The Kliq" was a name Michaels made up to refer to his legions of fans, as sort of an insider rib so when he would say stuff like "The Kliq owns the WWF" all the net nerds would get their panties in a frenzy like you are doing now. That was in 96 and he didn't say stuff like that as the bouncing babyface. In late 97 just as D-X was forming they showed the MSG inident from May 96 and that brought up the whole Clique thing into WWF storylines. HBK, HHH, and Chyna were "The Kliq" for a few weeks, then very briefly "The Triple Threat" (That may have just been for "One Night Only" and was an obvious shot at Shane Douglas), then Shawn named them Degeneration X. So the comment this kid was talkign about was more of a worked shott to put heat on the larval satges of DX version 1, by leaching off Hall and Nash's nWo heat from WCW. Hall and Nash were cool in 97 and Shawn had just turned heel and HHH was starting to shed the blueblood gimmick. Either way I'm don't think that HBK has too much power right now. He had the SS match (not a ME), the Elimination Chamber match (a ME title win, and then dropped the belt a month later, was eliminated form the RR in less than 2 minutes, had a midcard win without his finisher at WM, and then was in a 6-man tag at Backlash and he'll beat Flair at Bad Blood. Since December he's been out of the world title picture. Hall and Waltman are gone. nash will be phased out of the world title picture after Bad Blood and HHH will still reign supreme. It looks like HHH is actually fuckign his friends over and getting rid of them as opponents. The Kiliq probably is dead. Oh well.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 28, 2003 Hogan's pull was actually warranted though. He made the company money and was in the position to pick-and-choose. WTF did the Clique do?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 28, 2003 Exactly...Hogan and Flair were allowed to play Politics when they did... So would the Rock but aside from his Goldberg series...Rock hasn't done ANYTHING with Politics and pretty much does what Vince/Steph/Russo/Gerwitz tells him too...
