Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted May 30, 2003 I thought of this topic after watching the great Kurt Angle video on Smackdown and hearing the really good song it was set to. Thankfully the WWE put up the artist and title at the end so I was able to find and download it easily. A band I discovered due the WWE is Evanescence, who had their song "Bring Me To Life" used as the theme music for No Way Out (I didn't see Daredevil and I don't listen to much radio so I had never heard it at that point). Anyone have any similar stories?
Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted May 30, 2003 Insane Clown Posse and Stuck Mojo. I'm not so much a Stuck Mojo fan (I don't own any of their CDs), but I like them and respect their music. As for ICP, up until about 99 I absolutely hated them. Then I started getting into them, and now I'm a freakin Juggalo. In turn, hearing about Stuck Mojo (whom were/are on Century Media) introduced me to the world of Black Metal.

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted May 31, 2003 -I was never into ICP until the JCW tapes. After that, I loved the fuckers. -I got into Deep Purple through "Perfect Strangers." I'm still not a fan of "Smoke On The Water" too much, but the entire Perfect Strangers album is amazing. And last, but not least: STUCK MOJO Sometime in 2000, probably in July, I started to think back to when I loved WCW after watching the crap on my TV. Then, I remembered the (in my opinion) pretty good Raven/DDP feud from February to May of 1998. I remembered that they had some band have a video with them in it, but I wasn't sure of the name. So I dwelled on it, and remembered the band: Stuck Mojo. I remember thinking that the song wasn't too bad, so I went to Strawberries and bought Rising, which has the picture of the WCW US Heavyweight title as the cover. Loved it. Bought HVY1, And Pigwalk. Loved 'em. Bought the then-new release, Declaration Of A Headhunter. Absolutely loved it. From then on I was a full-blown Stuck Mojo fan. Rich Ward is one of my favorite metal/hard rock songwriters, both in terms of guitar work and lyrics (he was the primary lyricist for Stuck Mojo).

Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted June 3, 2003 Make it III for Perfect Strangers, best thing about Shane Douglas was his music and his waiting for the guitar rigg to kick in to come from behind the curtain.

Guest Steviekick Report post Posted June 6, 2003 I'm not ashamed that I started liking TATU because it's Victoria's them song. I guess I'm like everyone else for liking Shane Douglas having "Perfect Strangers" for his theme song. Great stuff there.

Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted June 7, 2003 The only good songs that have ever been associated with wrestling are The Rougeaus' theme The Twin Towers/Slick theme Lyger's Theme Flair's theme And currently, Matt Hardy's is better than all the others, not the best Monster Magnet song, but it doesn't sound as syrupy and manufactured as any other song that's ever been commisioned for wrestling. B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2003 I really haven't gotten into any bands because of wrestling. Sure, lately the WWF has introduced we fans to new acts, but I never got into them. I like Evanescence and the angelic voice of Amy Lee, but I jammed them before Vince and Co. used it. Rougeau's theme fucking RULED.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted June 7, 2003 The only good songs that have ever been associated with wrestling are The Rougeaus' theme The Twin Towers/Slick theme Lyger's Theme Flair's theme Ahem...must I remind of you of Alice In Chains "Man In The Box" (Tommy Dreamer, ECW)? Or even Hayabusa's AWESOME theme? Hell, almost every ECW theme owned it.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2003 Though I don't really like them now, I was into TATU for like a couple weeks because of it being Victoria's theme music. The thing is that normally with WWE music it's by bands that I've heard months before (Like Evanescence. I heard them like four months before it became the No Way Out theme music, and the same with Trapt's "Headstrong", which I had thought would be an AWESOME song for a PPV just for the corus), so it's rare that I get into a band because they were played as a wrestling theme. ... Ooh, wait! "End of Everything" by Stereomud and "Live for the Moment" by Monster Magnet both rule.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted June 8, 2003 Saliva, Puddle of Mudd (especially), and Evanescence. I got into them after I heard them as PPV themes.

ECW did have some sweet ones. Even the biggest 'tallica haters must have enjoyed Sandy's entrance. It's just that current WWE music is so awful. Also, when the Quebecers had that kareoke version of The Mountie's old theme with them singing like drunken Canadians, it was an accidental moment of musical genius.
