Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 (edited) SWF Lockdown! Wednesday, June 11th, live from the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana! What a kick-ass name for an arena! Due: 6 PM eastern Send promos to: Grand Slam SINGLES MATCH - PROVE THYSELF! Tod deKindes vs. Mike Van Siclen --Tod waltzes in, harasses TNT for two months, injures him, and now wants him to put his career on the line? Wrestle another frickin' match first, you winky! MVS lost to Craven for what we here at CC swear will be the last time in a long time, and a win here is just what the doctor ordered to cure those belt-sick blues... Rules: It's the most regular match you could imagine, except for the walrus. Word Limit: 4000 Marker: Grand Slam SINGLES MATCH Atlas vs. Nathaniel Kibagami --I wonder how Atlas feels after Storm. MVS lost, which probably makes him happy. I wonder how Kibagami feels. He won, which makes him happy...but what about that neck? Some eerie things were going on during Storm, and it all boils down to this: here are two competitors getting ready for big PPV confrontations. Only one comes out of Lockdown with a little extra momentum. Rules: Straight up singles. No steel-tipped canes, please. Word Limit: 4500 Marker: Suicide King NO-DQ MATCH Janus vs. Wildchild --You stand up to King, you pay. Not only is King denying Wild and Dangerous even a chance to earn a title shot against Justice & Rule, despite promising them that opportunity if they could take care of Neilsen, he's also throwing the Wildchild to the angriest man in the fed, Janus! This No-DQ environment should let Janus get his ya-yas out after juuuust barely missing an ICTV title win...unless, of course, Wildchild has something to say about that. If Wildchild pulls out the victory, unseen backstage forces might help him get past King's edicts... Rules: DQs and count-outs are not in effect. Victory is by pinfall or submission. Word Limit: 5000 Marker: realitycheck SINGLES MATCH The Boston Strangler vs. "The Judge" William Hearford --Damn that Judge! Another Gavel Bang, another day, and Strangler goes down once more. With Ejiro on his side, the veteran of the Magnificent 7 has put the #1 contender to Tom Flesher's world title down for the count many times now. Can he do it alone, or will Strangler eat Judge's family as a warm-up for the showdown with Tom? Rules: Straight-up singles. Don't be cheatin' now. Word Limit: 5000 Marker: Edwin MacPhisto MAIN EVENT #1 CONTENDERSHIP TO THE TAG TITLES Danny Williams & Dace Night vs. Frost & Longdogger Pete --Both of these teams have been chomping at the bit, having faced off against Justice & Rule in several formats. The Unholy Trinity barely lost their original tag title shot and made up for it in a 6-man, and Frost and LDP suffered a six-man loss when J&R Gavel Banged the Boston Strangler for the win. These four men bring intensity and committment to the federation, but only two of them will be going on to face Justice & Rule at 13th Hour... Rules: Regular tag match. Use the ropes and the rules. Word Limit: 6000 Marker: chirs3 Edited June 7, 2003 by Edwin MacPhisto
Guest chirs3 Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 I do believe this is my first time to mark a main event, and what a doozy! Thank ya, CC!
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Didn't you want a couple of cards off to do some stuff for the website, or something?
janusd Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Janus vs. random cruiserweight take 372931! Then again, everyone's a cruiser to a seven-foot-two hoss.
Guest Kibagami Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Edwin is some kind of booking Jesus. Seeing as it is four in the goddamned morning, that will be all from me. K.
Secret Agent Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 No, WC... I was just trying to fathom how we could not possibly be #1 contenders. I also read this before I read the show. Besides since we beat Neilsen, we should get to face off against this Suicide King as a replacement. Neilsen is obviously not here.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Mark Stevens is looking into the camera with a sorrowful expression on his face, as Bobby Riley looks on, barely able to contain a grin. “Folks, we regret to inform you that during the break, Wildchild was seriously injured in a dastardly attack by Magnificent Seven member Janus. Let’s take you back to the replay of what just happened:” <<Moments ago>> Wildchild leans against the top rope for the support – his newly won Hardcore Championship dangling in his hands outside the ring – as he catches his breath, recovering from his brutal battle with Mike Van Siclen, when suddenly Janus runs down to the ring, sneaking up behind Wildchild and snaring him in a full nelson. “It’s Janus,” shouts Stevens. “What the hell is he doing out here?” Without warning, the Hell Machine arches back, snatching the new Hardcore Champion into the air and driving him headfirst into the canvas with a devastating Full Nelson Suplex! Without releasing his victim, Janus stands back up, falling backwards and dropping him with yet another Full Nelson Suplex! “We could be looking at Chains of Pain,” crows Riley. The Aussie Monster stands up with his grip in place, finally releasing Wildchild as he falls back a third time, driving his head into the mat once more. “What the hell brought this on,” moans Stevens. “Chains of Pain,” shouts Riley. “Janus is showing the world what he thinks of the new Hardcore Champion! “Somebody get some help out here,” cries Stevens. “Somebody stop this monster!” “Yeah, right,” scoffs Riley. “You first.” Janus drags the ladder back into the center of the ring. He picks the unconscious Wildchild up and applies a standing headscissors, bringing both hands to his neck and bringing them both back down in a slashing motion. “Don’t do this,” pleads Stevens. “For the love of God, don’t do it!” BANG! Janus wraps his arms around Wildchild’s waist and lifts him into the air, lifting him onto his shoulders, and then raises him higher into the air and driving him headfirst into the ladder with a devastating Dark Bomb! “Dark Bomb,” moans Stevens. “Wildchild’s not moving. Somebody get some help out here!” Janus stands over the motionless Wildchild and drops the Hardcore Championship onto his chest, burning a hole through his chest with a murderous gaze. His countenance slowly breaks into an evil grin and he steps over his victim, climbing outside the ring as EMT’s rush towards the ring with a stretcher. <<End Flashback>> “Folks, that was only moments ago,” says Stevens. “As soon as we know anything about Wildchild’s condition, we’ll announce it on the air. Right now, we’re going to go to a quick commercial break, and when we come back, it’ll be ‘the Franchise,’ Mak Francis, trying to regain the US Title from Michael Craven in a Bull Rope Match. Folks, come on back, we’ve still got a lot of great action to come!” As We: FADE OUT It's on now, big fella! I owe you!
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 NO-DQ MATCH Janus vs. Wildchild ... This No-DQ environment should let Janus get his ya-yas out after juuuust barely missing an ICTV title win... I would just like to point out that this stip also allows me the freedom to write outrageous spotfests without having to worry about any of that pesky wrestling...
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Not to bitch, but if you've been following storylines you will see that LDP and I already have a guarenteed title shot against Justice and Rule based on LDP helping Frost get his eye of the tiger back on King's agreement. So, why do we have to have a match for a title shot we already have? I'm sure we can spin it in promos, but I'm just asking.

Secret Agent Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 W&D also have a shot from beating you and LDP, Frost. It's a wacky place anymore!
Guest Ace309 Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 HEY! WHY DIDN'T I GET BOOKED?!!?!?!!? Oh, right, the LSAT. Carry on.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 NO-DQ MATCH Janus vs. Wildchild ... This No-DQ environment should let Janus get his ya-yas out after juuuust barely missing an ICTV title win... I would just like to point out that this stip also allows me the freedom to write outrageous spotfests without having to worry about any of that pesky wrestling... Shhh, I was keeping that a secret! I figured you'd both be able to have a real good time with this match. Originally the tag match main event was going to be a three-team contest of some sort, but Wildchild asked me to hold off getting his team up against J&R immediately for various reasons. This is just me adhering to his request. Neither Wild nor Dangerous are getting ignored, and I in fact have some fun ideas for them both in the immediate future. Not to bitch, but if you've been following storylines you will see that LDP and I already have a guarenteed title shot against Justice and Rule based on LDP helping Frost get his eye of the tiger back on King's agreement. So, why do we have to have a match for a title shot we already have? Here's how I see it: you've still got that title match. The question is when. Danny and Dace almost beat J&R the first time they faced them, and then did pull out a win in the six-man tag environment. I think they're as deserving of a chance to go after those titles again as anyone. This is truly a #1 contender's match--in fact, all three challenging teams will probably get title shots sometime in the future, because you're all doing good things and writing strong. This just sees who's got the fire right now to do it at the PPV. I would have gone with perhaps the logical thing and booked a multi-team match at the PPV, but I didn't because a) we did that at the last PPV, and with how solid the tag division is lately, we'd love to see just a really good, no bullshit tag match at the big show, and b) neither you nor Danny really like three-way matches much anyway, so I thought it might be a bit of a disappointment to have that be your opportunity at the PPV. So, that's that. I'm not backing out of your title shot, but I am injecting a little change-up. Good luck to everybody on that one.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Thanks for the explanation Edwin, it all makes sense to me now. I've talked with Dace and Danny and we have everything worked out on our ends.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 Excellent, Frost. Glad I was able to ride the clarification train. Also, I've updated the card with an arena and pretty pretty bold and italics. Yeah, that's right. Love that shit.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted June 7, 2003 Report Posted June 7, 2003 LSAT? Tom Flesher, Attorney at Law? :: sings :: whooooo... is the man in the suit?
Guest Tod deKindes Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Huh. Forgot to ask not to be booked. Oh well. *cracks knuckles*
Guest Tod deKindes Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Oh, and any idea which city the PPV will be?
Guest Ace309 Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 LSAT? Tom Flesher, Attorney at Law? :: sings :: whooooo... is the man in the suit? Yup, I'm attempting to parlay my Philosophy major and Political Science minor into something useful to tide me over till I'm President.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Oh, and any idea which city the PPV will be? Possible venues: Webcity Destrucity Cloudcity City on the Edge of Forever The Last House on the Left Craig Pittman Memorial Air Force base of WCW Special Forces Free Bird Mountain Funky Town 461 Ocean Boulevard The Inner Reaches of Your Mind
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Yup, I'm attempting to parlay my Philosophy major and Political Science minor into something useful to tide me over till I'm President. So...McDonald's fry cook for 14 years, right? PS: I officially vote for the City on the Edge of Forever. EDITH, NO!
Guest TheBostonStrangler Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 That Judge be goin' down now, ya hear?
Guest Powerplay Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 That Judge be goin' down now, ya hear? Only if I lets ya, Superstation, only if I let's ya .
Guest Suicide King Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 Wow. Thus far, I have eight matches for the PPV, and almost all of them have storylines. Bitching. And expect at least one returnee at the PPV, and possibly more.
Guest Kibagami Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 Craig Pittman Memorial Air Force base of WCW Special Forces sounds good, just because I want to see how many times I can write the announcers using the arena's full name at awkward times. "Janus hurls Kibagami into the first row of the Craig Pittman Memorial Air Force base of WCW Special Forces!" Could be fun. K.
