eh...'its a wonderful life' is my single favorite movie ever, & certainly one of the most beloved american movies of all time, but there's plenty of people who hate the capra-corn with a passion. lots of guys i know just can't get into it because it's so brazenly cheesy.

ot tell you the truth, I liked rear window but the ending i thought left something to be desired.

i also nominate die hard, the quintessential action movie

I just said "Apocalypse Now" because I was running out of movies to say.

but... I did mention A CHRISTMAS STORY first...

I like it. Other than Chasing Amy, it's my favorite Smith film

my g/f actually said "I like Clerks...but it would be so much better in color"

and then spent a half an hour asking me why it was b/w

Dazed And Confused.

Clerks is ok, I think you need to be a Smith devotee to really love it. It's an average cheap indie flick at best with only the quirky script setting it apart.

if it's a horror movie you can pretty much guarantee that it's out of the running. Same thing with silent movies, but for different reasons.

I've got a friend who didn't like Princess Bride because it was 'gay'

Dead Alive SUUUUUUUUUCKED. One good scene (Kung-Fu Priest) surrounded by a lot of crap...not my idea of a good movie

I didn't bother reading all the posts in this thread, but I don't remember ever hearing anybody say they didn't like Goldfinger.

BTW, Kevin Smith movies suck. I understand their purpose, and I respect Smith, but I don't find them funny at all. Especially Chasing Amy & Mallrats.

We're really not getting any good candiates anymore, aside from possibly Goldfinger, but I have a friend who doesn't like it too much, because he hates old action movies... not enough explosions of CGI, I guess.

Ferris Beuller's Day Off

A Christimas Story

Christmas Vacation

Those three are still the only ones on the list that haven't been shot down by someone... anyone care to try and not like any of them?

5 pages with no mention of Office Space?

Some random replies:

I cried at the end of Homeward Bound.

Dumb and Dumber is hilarious.

:::marks out at the mention of The Stupids:::

I'm 50/50 on Bueller.

Love Christmas Vacation

Haven't seen a Christmas Story.

Sorry if I missed it but has anyone shot down The Princess Bride? I've never heard anythign negative about it.

Dumb and Dumber most people agree is hilarious.

I'm also 50/50 on Ferris though really it depends on the mood I watch it in. Some days I'll love it and others I'll hate it. Loved A Christmas Story(Best X-Mas movie EVER) & Christmas Vacation
