But, then I picked up this and realized that Lavigne has little to no talent. It's funny how much one can learn in a couple of months. If it's any reward, Lavigne is better than Spears.

She's harmless pop music, who's not overly annoying. It's not something I'd choose to listen to, but I'm not freaking out screaming "Turn that damn channel" if I happen to hear her come on. Unless you're a fan of pop music and can't stand a certian pop artist, it's a waste of time to "hate" someone like this.

I enjoy her songs when I hear them on the radio (except Sk8ter Boi, which is really bad). I don't have a problem with her being totally fake, because everyone in pop music is totally fake. It's not like she's any more or less fake than anyone else.

I play her music all the time and am listening to her SNL performance of 'I'm With You' right now. Is Avril a complete a fucking moron? Yes Is Avril's image completely fabricated? Yes Is Avril punk? No But what does all that matter? If you hate her music then that's fine- but hating her for those other reasons is just silly. I'm seeing Avril now three times in concert and each time she has put on a great show. I also had the pleasure of meeting her when she was on Late Show. She only signs for kids and well you've seen my pics so Avril actually came over and signed for me- I appreciated that. Anyway yes- I LOVE Avril Lavigne's music and hope she's around for years to come

Image and pop attitude aside she has crappy music...... actually, not just crappy, it is an abomination upon my delicate ears. Making this worse is the fact that she "co-wrote" it. Meaning that not only is she so untalented as to not write her own lyrics, but she choose all the bad ones at that. Sk8ter boi is the worst song I have ever heard in my entire life..... and the fact that it will soon be polluting the movie industry is a terrible terrible crime. Hopefully, she will be forgotten within the next few months, as is ususlly the case with such SHIT!

I find her music simplistic, but it's catchy and I see no problem with it. She has talent, more so than a lot of other females in the same position as her right now. M

And I crack up when I hear people whining about how she's just an image and is just marketed a certain way to reach a certain audience. News flash: ALL MUSICIANS DO THIS. Whether they're death metal, or punk, or pop crap, or gangster rap or whatever, they dress a certain way and talk a certain way to manipulate the media and their target audience. Do some artists represent an image closer to their real life? Yes.
