Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I want to see Jericho/Lesnar and that's about it. Pretty much everything else (Jericho/Benoit, Booker/Angle, etc) has already been done.
Guest Goodear Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Maybe its just me and my Jericho dislike, but a match with him against Brock holds almost no interest for me. I guess its just that Jericho's offense is so very crappy, I can't see Lesnar bumping well enough off of Jericho's love taps to make it even look believable.

Jericho/Angle was very disappointing and Brock's another amateur-style wrestler. But it is still the only one that really has me interested in this point. I see potential in Hurricane, but he's too much of a jobber to care much about. Rock's faced everybody already, as has Booker (except Brock, and Brock/Booker doesn't interest me at all). Austin's basically retired. And everybody else that is worth anything is on Smackdown. Most of the big matches that I want to see (ex. Benoit/Brock) are Smackdown only.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I just thought of one. I would love to see Storm/Benoit.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I want to see HHH job to everyone under 220 on the Smackdown roster, but only out of spite.
Guest Choken One Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 An Special 16 Man Tag Team Match Team Raw ---------------- Triple H Ric Flair Rob Van Dam Kane Christian HBK Hurricane Booker T Vs Team Smackdown ---------------------- Brock Lesnar Kurt Angle Chris Benoit Rhyno Eddy Tajiri Mysterio John Cena and singles matches Rob Van Dam Vs Mysterio Rob Van Dam Vs Ultimo Dragon Mysterio Vs Jericho (never can get enough of them) Brock Lesnar Vs Jericho Brock Lesnar Vs Goldberg
B. Brian Brunzell Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Spanky/Hurricane could be fun. Both are good workers with alot of energy and can get the crowd behind them. It might bring me out of my WWF boredom.
Guest wildpegasus Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 My picks: 1)Benoit vs Jericho They have never had a match that really went over the 15 minute mark and yet have pulled out some great stuff. Benoit has to be the heel in this and Jericho the face. 2)Benoit vs Storm: Candians rule. It's because of the cold weather. It makes you tough! We love to stand out in the coldest of winters with 50km/h winds just for the fun of it. This'd be great and has potential for a classic. 3)Angle vs Storm:Their short match on Raw left me wanting more 4)Booker vs Angle or Benoit 5)Benoit vs HHH, Michaels, RVD, Rico, Flair or Hurricane 6)Spanky vs Michaels 7)Eddy vs Storm, Michaels, Rico
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Jericho/Angle was very disappointing Which Jericho/Angle match? There were 3 I know of that took place on TV and PPV: Jericho vs. Angle at No Way Out 2000, Jericho vs. Angle in May on Raw in 2001, and Jericho vs. Angle on Raw in late 2001 or early 2002, around the time both were heels and Jericho was the WWE Undisputed Champion.
Guest SethforPrez840 Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Angle vs Flair, my personal dream match
DrVenkman PhD Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Jericho vs Angle was also Angle's 1st round match for the 2000 KOTR (really should have been the final since Rikishi had no business doing 3 matches that night, but that's an old complaint at this point). Glad to see someone else didn't totally ignore Shawn Michaels in their dream match selections.
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Jericho vs. Angle was also at Rebellion 2001. About ***1/2, hurt by Angle's selling problems and the psychology being a bit iffy. Basically, though, having Jericho go against the better SD workers is something I miss. Christian vs. Version 1 would be an awesome fued, and they already have lots of history to build on. If not a fued, they'd make a great heel temp tag team. RVD is far away from workers actually able to carry him aside from Jericho, which really screws his chances of hanging good matches. Storm should be on SD--he doesn't seem to fit with Raw at all, especially with no Regal around.

The best one was the Rebellion match which tops out like AndrewTS said at ***1/2. None of their other matches were that impressive at all. Austin is another one Jericho doesn't work well with.
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I think Angle and Jericho could put on a great match today. Angle still has those selling issues sometimes, but he wasn't quite as good as he is today when he had that match. It just kinda kills the flow of the match when Jericho is just destroying his shoulder, then when Angle gets on offense he starts by countering with a belly to belly suplex, and various other suplexes, without selling the shoulder at all and just forgetting about it.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Austin buried Jericho in their matches, but they didn't click anyway. Eddie might be able to get something out of Goldberg, that's a good point. I'd love to see Goldust/Benoit for some reason. Tommy Dreamer can have watchable matches with pretty much anyone, no joke. And Rico/Noble, Rico/Tajiri....fuck.
Guest caboose Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Los Guerreros Vs. Booker/Goldust (If Chavo wasn't injured and BookGold were still a team) Jericho Vs. Benoit one last time would interest me.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Benoit/Jericho would interest me once more because the face/heel roles are reversed, but Jericho's heel act is a lot different to Benoit's, so it wouldn't be as pure a wrestling match, I don't think.
Guest caboose Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Jericho/Benoit would be more universally adored by marks as well as smarks with the roles reversed. Jericho is better at conveying a cheating scumbag than Benoit and I like Benoit in his Badass Machine Face mode. Jericho could play off it with his heel antics very well.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Yes. What I mean is that Jericho's offense is weaker. Of course, that never stopped him displaying a FINE array of cheatery against Rock. Lance Storm does need a match with someone good, if he were to stay on the Raw roster I hold no hope of him ever having another good match.

Jericho low blows, uses the exposed turnbuckle and then uses the ropes to make sure Rocky lost in the dirtiest way possible. Jericho was your god until you know who came back... I could see Storm on SmackDown mixing it up with Tajiri and Eddie in some fine matches.

You forgot the crooked referee Nick Patrick and the run-ins by Storm and Christian. He used almost every trick in the book to win that match. I think there was a beltshot, too.
