Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 9, 2003 Except not exactly. Yes, I opened my WWF magazine today, opened to the TOC, and saw something I've been waiting to see for five years. 44 All the Mayhem Backlash in all it's action-packed glory with exclusive photos and SUPERSTAR QUOTES! YES! Who else fondly remembers reading WWF Magazine PPV coverage and reading the quotes to the outside corners? Something like this Goldust: OOOHHHHHH I made sure Crush would NEVER forget the name Goldust after the bootie kicking I came him tonight! Crush: Arrgh! I'll show Goldust why they call me Crush! But when I flipped to page 44, they were quotes that sounded like they came from real people! HOW DARE THEY! First they stop using the fake letters to the wrestlers section from fake fans, and now when they tease us with more classic fake quotes, we get THIS? Will we stand for this? I SAY NO! HAWK "Now maybe that tub of @#$&! will get off my back and go back to plowin' the field!" KEN SHAMROCK "I may have lost my cool, but the British Bulldog is gonna lose a lot more than that!" OWEN HART "That's what I get for showing compassion! I'm a damn idiot!" HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY "How am I expected to beat an opponent who doesn't even know who the hell he is?!" BRET HART "Yes, it's true...the fifth time is a charm, SUCKERS!" and one that still has me scratching my head... SHAWN MICHAELS "Regrets? ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2003 Where do you think 'the heartbreak kid' came from? I think Bobby Heenan coined the term once, and Michaels used it ever since. At least, that's what I remember hearing off of one of Michaels' interviews on Confidential...
