Chazz Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Did anyone participate In The supposed Raw Boycott this guy named Jeff Wahlman has been planing for months? Supposedly a good portion of The IWC gave word that they'd support his boycott. Then Scott Keith said today that rumor has It that Jeff himself didn't even boycott the show! Does anyone know anything about this?

Does anyone know anything about this? I've been "boycotting" Raw for about a month now. If WWE can't be bothered, neither can I.
JasonX Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Then Scott Keith said today that rumor has It that Jeff himself didn't even boycott the show! Where the did Keith say that at?
B. Brian Brunzell Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I forgot about the boycott and ended up watching. Stupid me.
Guest IB2BLACK Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 How many of these boycotts ever take place?
Guest OnlyMe Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 All of them, by about 3 people who then look up the results on the internet anyway.
Guest wwF1587 Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 All of them, by about 3 people who then look up the results on the internet anyway. yeah thats me...
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I just decided to watch Croc Hunter Live instead. I thought the boycott was last week. I saw Mick and that's it.
Guest Trivia247 Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 well gee that boycott must have been time well spent bet the WWE was nashing their teeth oohhh no a handful of Smarks aren't gonna watch RAW our buyrates are gonna go down 000002. % AHHHHHHH
Guest nikowwf Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 if i had a nielsen box i'd boycott. Boycotting when the WWE can't even see it, and when you could just SAY you boycotted and not actually do it seems pointless to me. By the way, Scott Keith REVIEWED the show, so how did he boycott? niko

Murmuring Beast Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 (BifEverchad Posted on Jun 10 2003, 05:04 PM) By the way, Scott Keith REVIEWED the show, so how did he boycott? He used his magical powers of prejudice. "Flair? **** minimum. Hey, quit hogging the vaseline... Ooh, yea, Nature Boy, talk dirty like last week..."
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I won't boycott RAW because it would mean NOTHING. Think about it, the only fans that would do this would be smart/internet fans and they make up about 5% of the whole damn audience. So if you were smart you would boycott live events or PPV, where the WWE makes all their money.
Guest Razor Roman Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Don't panic, faithful readers. While I did skip the initial airing of RAW as part of the boycott for Jeff Wahlman's cause (although I hear rumors that Jeff didn't even boycott...), it was mainly to catch the Stanley Cup finals, which unfortunately weren't very exciting so I ended up exercising my intellect instead and taking Fox's interactive IQ test. There you go. Straight from the HOSS'es mouth.
Guest Austin3164life Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I've watched a combined 30 minutes of Raw in probably the past month or so. I saw Foley's return last night, and the last segment, but that's about it. I've been "boycotting" Raw for a very long time now.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 It seemed like SK didn't even watch the show and just wrote something based on other reports. His review was incredibly brief. I don't know why people still read him, to be honest. (points at sig)
Guest Zero_Cool Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Well, I joined the boycott at about 8:30, when I got a call telling me there was a party to go to. And beer, along with the activity of pissing on someone's doorstep after drinking beer, made me join the boycott.
Guest RollingSambos Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 What is the point of boycotting unless you have a Nielsen box? Unless you have a Nielsen box, you aren't going to affect the ratings.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 What's the point in watching when they suck?
Bored Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 What's the point in watching when they suck? Let preface by saying that I agree they suck and that typically now during Raw and Smackdown I just have it on in the background while doing other things and also I'm not trying to flame bait here....but if they its so bad right now that your not watching then why are the majority of your posts in this folder? If your not even watching why bother talking about it?
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I've been boycotting Raw since No Way Out. I'm a trailblazer! I will admit I flipped it on at the end to see Foley but when I saw it was just an HHH segment I turned it off.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Gee, never had that question asked before. I still like talking about wrestling, now I can do that without suffering through actually watching it. I believe that's called having my cake and eating it too. And I don't see any requirements on this board which say I have to watch it in order to talk about it.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I watched hockey. Partly because I knew that the boycott was last night, and partly because a Game 7 was certainly going to be more entertaining than Raw. I still haven't even read results, but I've seen that Foley was there. It's strange that I find myself not caring.

I've never seen you post in NWA for example.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 No no Max, it's not strange. It's a good feeling, this "not caring." Embrace it. Allow yourself to totally detatch from the WWE and you find yourself enjoying other forms of wrestling much much more.
