Schizophrenia - Sepultura

Lifesblood - Mastodon

Altered States of America - Agorophobic Nosebleed

Three fucking awesome metal albums. You absolutely cannot go wrong with older Sepultura, Mastodon is one of the best heavy bands active right now, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed is a milestone of grindcore. Fast as fuck and uncomfortably dischordant and loud, it rules.

Residents - 'Icky Flix', 'Wormwood-curious tales from the bible' 'Our finest flowers' They all fucking rule.

Rocket From The Crypt - 'All systems Go 2'

They probably couldn't record a bad song if they tried, one of the most consistent and underappreciated contemporary bands.

British Sea Power - 'The Decline of British Sea Power' I wasn't impressed at first, but it's grown on me. Track 2 is so blantently raping early pixies it isn't funny, and 'Remember Me' is just a bland indie song, but the piano driven stuff is pretty impressive, I think they'll be better live than on record.

Sisters of Mercy - 'Vision Thing'

Mercury Rev - 'Boces'

Misfits - 'Static Age'

Under the influence - Morrissey

haven't really listened to these yet.

I just picked up Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence recently, as in I downloaded it. I've never bought a CD in my life, don't intend on changing. I am that 15 year old kid that is being referred to in the latest Resonant Frequency column over at Pitchfork. Anyways, I picked up Van Halen I, on the request of others, than promptly deleted it. Shit shit shit.

AC/DC Live - Awesome, just awesome

No need to be ashamed, that guy has more talent in his pancreas than anyone in Coldplay, Linkin Park, Finch....

Some Kind of Wonderful soundtrack, possibly the best '80s soundtrack, with the exception of maybe Pretty in Pink.

John Hughes definitely knew how to pick great underground music for his films.
