Guest Aero Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Matt Hardy's feud with Rey Mysterio is said to be over after his second job to Rey on Smackdown. Hardy is going to move back into the heavyweight division on Smackdown. Because the Cruiserweight TItle match on Smackdown two weeks ago, Matt is said to have impressed Vince McMahon and could lead to a major push. Although putting him in the cruiserweight division was seen as a risk at first, he did a lot to elevate the division and looks ready for a singles push, possibly in line for the US Title. credit: PWTorch.com ------------------------------------------------------- Sounds good. I agree with Matt Hardy taking the US Title, although maybe he shouldnt be the FIRST champ. I think that's for Benoit or Cena.

Guest Vyce Report post Posted June 14, 2003 It's good that Hardy is going to get a push, but really, what did he do for the cruizerweight division? Not a lot, IMO.
Guest Aero Report post Posted June 14, 2003 It's good that Hardy is going to get a push, but really, what did he do for the cruizerweight division? Not a lot, IMO. I think he did elevate the division. Look at previous champs before him: Jamie Noble was decent, but he didn't seem like he was too over with the crowd. It seemed that his title reign lasted forever (June-November), but not that that was bad. Kidman is never over, so he was a waste. The crowd seemed to be into Matt as the champ. The only problem, IMO, was that his only title matches were at No Way Out (where he won it) and WM.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Just why the hell isn't Kidman ever over? He's, if not my favourite, one of my fave cruisers. Kidman > Chavo. Go on, let the heat begin.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Whatever happened to Kidman? I haven't seen him since the Al Wilson storyline. And I am glad they are wanting to push Matt Hardy, he has been one of the few entertaining guys in the WWE lately.

He gets pushed for being a "stud," not because of his ties with Trips.

Guest EricMM Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Its sad they feel they have to take him out of the CW division to push him.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Billy and Hunter were never friends but merely mutal asscotiates. As for Kidman? He injured his shoulder on a Botched SSP and has been out of commison since. Who cares anyways about Kidman? He only has a job because he can do a SSP and has an large package and seems to own the rights to Torrie Wilson.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I think he has impressed management because he has been able to become a credible singles star. Maybe they figured they made a mistake when they gave Hardy's feud with Edge and Mysterio to Albert (who's back on velocity squashing Funaki and Bill DeMott). Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Just why the hell isn't Kidman ever over? He's, if not my favourite, one of my fave cruisers. Kidman > Chavo. Go on, let the heat begin. Too shy for good mic skills, I think. I tried talking to the guy out of the ring and he just doesn't say much. In fact, the only time he really spoke up was to let me know the flash on my camera didn't work. This wasn't after a match or anything like that either. I want to kick myself for not telling him to go back to his old Flock heel persona. Cruiser division needs a worthwhile heel anyway (Noble is a tweener as far as I'm concerned). Even without the Flock, his angsty brooding look would be more likely to get heat than his current clean-cut babyface persona. Who cares anyways about Kidman? He only has a job because he can do a SSP and has an large package and seems to own the rights to Torrie Wilson. You need to see these people without their makeup. Kidman is actually more attractive than Torrie (who looks like she spent too much time in the tanning bed). Torrie's hotness is all about the makeup department. I used to wonder how Kidman got Torrie, and now it's like vice versa.

But then again, look at my title, what do i know?
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Gee, so it only takes hard work over a long period of time to get a decient push? Gee, so that's why Big Show's still a main eventer even though his matches are shit and no one likes him.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Kidman can't work a mike, and is too small to be given a major push by Vince. He's also nothing amazingly special, just above average. Also, he hasn't got a gimmick, despite the fact that he needs one more than most in the company. And Chavo only got a push because of Uncle Eddie, unfortunately.
Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Kidman has to be the most boring, exciting wrestler I have ever seen. Love and Mercy.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Yes, Chavo got a push ONLY because of Uncle Eddy but guess what... HE RAN WITH IT! Most wrestlers given Chavo's chance tend to drop the ball but at the end...Chavo was starting to outshine uncle eddy and that isn't easy beans. Kidman was given an shot in WCW against HULK FUCKING HOGAN and he dropped the ball because he just wasn't interesting enough...although WCW booking had a helping hand in that... Guest KingOfOldSchool Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Just why the hell isn't Kidman ever over? He's, if not my favourite, one of my fave cruisers. He was over in WCW, but a lot of that was due to Rey and Konnan, in addition to getting over on ringwork. But now, the ringwork isn't all that stellar or exciting and different. Nor does he have a character. He's like one of those old generic saturday morning jobbers these days.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Maybe they should just put a mask on Kidman and make him a Conquistador. That way, we wouldn't have to look at him or hear him talk.
Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 No, I thought Hogan was just dicking the crusierweights around at that time and squashed them when everyone thought they were getting their chance. I don't thnk that had anything to do with Kidman dropping the ball.

But still, Chavo would probably be in the same position as Noble and Kidman if not for Eddie. I think they ought to give Kidman his old Filthy Animals attire and stick him with Noble as a Tag team. Even if they're only at the bottom of the tag ranks, it's better than where they are now...

Adam 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2003 Kidman isn't all that good on the mic. His sentence at InVasion - "Relax Steph, I'm gonna go out there and show everybody why they say 'X-Pac Sucks'" - was just poor.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted June 15, 2003 Matt's push is not a guarantee. Remember when Funaki was suppose to get a push along with Tajiri? Tajiri lucked out because of Chavo's injury but Funaki has been squashed in less than a minute combined the last 2 weeks...Not that it's a bad thing.
Adam 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2003 But Matt has alot of charisma and IMO is more over than Funaki, the WWE will see this and push him. *realises what he just said* Oh no, Matt's screwed.
