Raw casualty list

I agree with you and something very similiar in my topic, but I dont know if i agree with all of the Hurricane ball licking here. The guy is good, but i don't wanna see him in the main event anytime soon. He'll never be main eventing a PPV. I think guys like Jericho, Booker, Christian, RVD, Lance Storm, HHH should be the main stars of RAW and out of all of those guys only 1 looked strong and credible last night and it was HHH. What asurprise

Nobody's asking for Hurricane to be in the ME, but he has been hanging around some of the bigger names on the show lately (Rock, HBK, Flair, Nash, HHH). To not even have a match at all is what people are bitching about. Put him in the opener to fire up the crowd.

Hurricane > Storm (and I like Lance)

The crowd doesn't exactly pop when Lance is on screen.

Hogan, NWO, Mick Foley, Roddy Piper, Scott Steiner, Steve Austin were ALL brought in for ratings spikes and NONE of them succeeded.

To be fair, Hogan's participation in X-8 is the reason it did monster numbers.

Secondly, we can't really call Foley a failure until we get the buyrate for Bad Blood and tonight's rating. You always have to see how the show one week after the persons debut goes in order to see if anyone decided to tune in since so-and-so came back last week.

Dude, there were Jericho signs and "Goldberg Go Home" signs on TV. There were Y2J chants (and not the quiet, hard-to-hear kind like at WMXIX)

Hey, I'm sorry, us Jericho fans tried as hard as we could to turn the tides, but the damn HBK fans outnumbered us.

So, two PPVs in a ROW Goldberg has been turned on by the crowd against the two biggest heels on Raw. Gosh, he sure was a success.

No...Hogan hasn't been a failure in my mind for the most part...

The rest are however excuseless and only killed business...At least Hogan popped ratings for short time and drove Merch and Video sales up enough...and His match at WMX8 got mainstream coverage after the fact...that says a lot.

And silly me...I was thinking they might do a double turn last night...

The fans WANT to cheer for Jericho again and you can see that clearly but Jericho is such a viciously great heel he can garner more heat...

I have a feeling HHH is going be happy about Jericho's UPSTAGING goldberg not once but TWICE...

Once in the back in front of every one...Making Goldberg a punk and making him look like a wussy...

and again in front the crowd for a good amount of time...

Jericho is doing all the work for HHH to get outta jobbing.

SIGN LAST NIGHT: NASH IS TRASH

That phrase is in the latest SmackDown game too. But not "BIG LAZY" which got a big amount of camera time.

I was one of them too so it's OK (Jericho fans, that is. Along with everyone else in my vicinity), I understand. B-)

Still, that was the most fun part of Mania. And my friend and I laughed at the Michaels fans after Jericho gave him that vicious low-blow, so at least we got the last laugh.

Hogan was a failure as Undisputed Champ, but Vince is usually forgiven for that mistake because of the huge pops Hogan was receiving at the time. Other than that, Hogan has been used correctly for the most part and generally been successful.

Steiner & Nash are shit on constantly for driving fans away. If Goldberg gets the same reaction, why should he be any different? He was brought in for the sole purpose of being an immediate boost to buyrates and ratings. He was not a long term solution. He failed miserably, and if they do HHH/Goldberg the result will be the same as the others.

At least with Steiner...He was salvageable enough to retreat into the mid-card...

Goldberg can't survive in the midcard...and Nash can succeed if they put him in a Tag ONLY environment but Nash/Shawn Vs Le Resistance isn't gonna work...at all..

Yeah Hogan STILL amazes me that this HUGE POLITICAL player maybe threw ONE hissy fit that was justified (jobbing to brock on tv) and has played ball and put over Angle, Edge and Lesnar.

Maybe they can put a mask on Nash and pretend he's a new wrestler/contender.

He and Jacobs could switch roles and feud. Fake Kane vs Fake Diesel :)

Whatever happened to the Stevie Richards & Victoria angle?

I'm wondering that myself. They were together all the time, valeting the other's matches and then all of a sudden........nothing. A few weeks ago they were together and now... they're completely seperate from each other. What the fuck?!

Goldberg v Rock may have been the main event at Backlash, but it didn't get a main event push on tv. That was given to Cripple H's six-man tag. Also, the Goldberg/Rock build up only closed two Raws, and was usually relegated to the middle of the card. As far as the tv audience saw, the Cripple H six-man tag got the main event push, and so, to them, THAT was the main event of Backlash.

The last time I saw Richards, he was already in the ring with no entrance music playing, without Victoria, and jobbed to Scott Steiner. After that, I didn't see him again. Did he get a neck injury again just recently? Because I read about it not too long ago for being the reason why he couldn't wrestle at Insurrexion with the Raw roster.

Richards should just leave for TNA. Raven is a big wig there and could probably get Stevie a decent push.

Isn't Stevie's neck injury starting to bug him again, which is why he missed the overseas tour?

I'm pretty sure Hogan is the only big signing/return over the past few years that has made back the money spent on him.

He tagged with him...Making him a bigger star via rub...

Wow. Hogan giving a Canuck a rub...there's something you'd never expect.

Helms might get a semi-decent push if he dropped the comedy gimmick.

Why does he need to drop the gimmick?

In ECW for the longest time, Nova had the same type of gimmick, yet he was made a good threat...

Why should Helms be treated any differently?

Helms will never get a serious push whilst using the superhero gimmick.

I'd love to see him drop the gimmick, move back to SD, and be a dick heel in the cruiser division. There's no upward mobility for him on Raw, so might as well put him back on SD where he matches up better physically w/ the rest of the roster.
