All right...We've done it a millon times...

Your driving along and you got the radio on as back ground...

and you hear that riff and the thump thump thump of the drums...

and you find your pushing down that pedal and BOOM! YOUR A FUCKING ROCKET...

So what's your personal HIGHWAY song?

Highway to hell is the ultimate Highway song...about you guys?

"Train in Vain," The Clash. Get outta my way when that comes on.

Actually, pretty much anything off London Calling or the self-titled does it. More recently, I'm having a good time with the first two songs off the new Radiohead album. I'm sure Thom Yorke would have a fit if he knew that.

Ugh. In my opinion, Radar Love may be the worst song ever written.

And good stuff to drive to:

Tom Petty - Mary Jane's Last Dance

The Smiths - Panic

Anything from The Ramones self titled album

Slayer - Angel Of Death

it kind of depends, am I driving someplace fairly close at a high rate of speed? If so, you can't go wrong with Slayer.

Far away at a steady pace, and it's all about stuff like "Nature Boy" and "Through the Electric Grapevine" by Primus.

Driving slowly around town...Sabbath or Sepultura.

Not necessarily for speed, but I always find myself stopping on a station that's playing Stranglehold, by Ted Nugent.

Well, too young to drive but when I bum rides from older brother's friends-

"Thunderstruck" My god we were zooming around 1 AM to that last night

"Bad Habit" Someone esle said it already, but the lyrics match and the whole CD I love

"Smells like Teen Spirit" My cousin basically got us into a pseudo drag race to that song

"Highway to Hell" of course. Oh, System of a Down isn't so bad either.

One more....

"The Speed of Darkness" by The Crown

"Faster than the speed of darkness, faster than the speed of light, together with the speed of darkness, shining on through the night!"

Combine that with a fast fucking song, its perfect driving music.

The Crown is fucking AWESOME driving music.

I recommend that everyone listen to "Sons Of Northern Darkness" by Immortal. Such riffomaniacal Black Metal goodness.

Riding through the blackfires of endless time

The icy dawn lifts with an horizon like

nordens on fire

Still peace breathes throughout the realm...

This ride will be the one...

The morning sun gleam upon these

peaceful plains...

Far beyond the realms of fire and ice

The legions marches on...

Now blow the might horns of war

Fly throughout the sky... set fire to the land

Fly throughout the sky... Sons of Northern Darkness

Anger rideth with the one that knows no fear

Who`s eyes like fire - who`s hearts like ice

Spirits rideth with teh ones that knows no fear

They are the Sons of northern darkness

Wisdom rideth with the ones that knows no fear

As old as the northern wind blow

Blow over grim moors...

Gathered we all storm the land...

The sound of triumph in the air

The legions marches on...

Now hear the mighty battleblasts

Fly throughout the sky... set fire to the land

Fly throughout the sky... Sons of northern darkness

So badass...

beethoven's 9th symphony.

don't laugh. it works.

Meh. I was becoming fairly well known in my little town years ago for rolling around with the 8 track version of the original Star Wars soundtrack blasting. And it works to.
