janusd 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2003 The TV screen flickers. Static fills the screen for the longest time, then fades out to blackness. Mist begins to rise from the bottom of the TV screen as the ominous *BONG* of a cathedral bell rings out. Time is a mysterious force. Some people have too much of it, others seem to have too little. The mist on the screen parts, revealing what looks like a graveyard. Mist roils among the tombstones, and the sound of the cathedral bell ringing dolefully is heard again, but is superseded by another noise in the background. The sound of a clock ticking. Tick, Tock. Always moving, never stopping, ticking on inexorably towards destiny. Standing amid the tombstones, the form of Nathaniel Kibagami is shown, staring at something we can't quite get a look at. "I don't need my full potential to take care of you." Tick, Tock. We pan a little to the right, and staring in almost the same direction is Janus, wrapped in his white jacket and also looking at someting that we can't get a good lack at. Unlike Nathan, no words pass from his lips. We pull back. Tick, Tock. Both Janus and Nathan are standing side by side, staring at a pair of grandfather clocks, their swinging pendulums making the loud "tick, tock" noise present throughout the entire film clip. The face of Nathan's clock is spinning around incredibly quickly, but the one at which Janus is gazing is painfully slow. But there comes a moment, when one person knows their time has run out... Nathan's clock clicks to a stop. While another person knows their destiny has arrived. Janus' clock also clips to a stop. Mist billows around the forms of the two men as they stare forward, at the time at which the clock had stopped. It's hazy, but the mist clears long enough to reveal... "13" "Your time isn't now, Nathan...it's at 13th Hour." "The Thirteenth Hour Has Arrived." The eerie graveyard clip fades out....only to show the inside of a wrestling ring, completely in black and white. Slowly, a series of clips are played, with the ominous sound of a ticking clock in the background. ...Tick... Rage Unleashed!! ...Tock... Flesh Into Gear! ...Tick... Dark Bomb! ...Tock... Rough Redemption! ...Tick.... The faces of both Janus and Nathan fade in for a moment, the Hell Machine scowling, Nathan looking cool and focused. ...Tock. The clock begins to chime as Janus and Nathaniel Kibagami face each other in a corridor backstage, entirely in black and white. Slowly the bell tolls, not once, not twice, but thirteen times. The image fades out as the voice of the announcer once again reappears... "Man versus Monster. Monster versus Man. Only time will decide whose destiny is over...and whose is still to come."
