Guest Dangerous A Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Man. I guess the top indy workers still don't make enough dough to make ends meet. That is very sad. If I was the roomate, I'd take him for all he's got. Charging up $10,000 and forging checks. What a dirtbag.
Guest Devin Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 I bet his roomate ends up being Terry Funk, and it's just another mind game.
Guest MrRant Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Oh well for him. I hope he enjoys prison.

Guest Zack Malibu Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 This is probably why Michael Shane had to take his place on Saturday at Ring of Honor, unless it was just a Japanese commitment that had gotten him double-booked or something.
Guest Nevermortal Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Well, good thing they broke up The Group in time. This surprises me a lot, because I never thought Steve Corino would be the guy to do something like this.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Same with me, 'Mortal. Especially the way he praises family values, raising his son, etc.
PsychoDriver Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Wow, Never would have thought Corino would be that type of person Anyway, is the MLW Barbed Wire match with Terry Funk still taking place?
Guest Nathan_Avara Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 I bet we'll see: MLW Championship Three Way Barbed Wire Match Mike Awesome vs. Kojima vs. Funk
Garth Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Oh God damn that sucks so much. I never imagined in my wildest pro-wrestling related dreams he'd ever do something like that. I just hope he dosen't get sent down for too long
Guest Human Fly Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Steve Corino statement from 1bob - Steve Corino contacted 1Wrestling.com in regard to his arrest in Michigan on forgery and misdemeanor and felony access-device fraud charges. Corino made the following statement: "It is absolutely not true. I am not guilty. This is a situation involving my ex-girlfriend and I am confident that when we have the preliminary hearing on Monday, they will see there is no evidence to support this. Please tell everyone that my spirits are high and I look forward to my day in court." Corino is in Florida and will make his scheduled barbed wire match with Terry Funk tomorrow for Major League Wrestling. He is scheduled to leave next Wednesday for his next Japanese tour with Zero-One and was informed the current situation will not affect him working the tour.
Guest Memoirs of an Invisible Chevy Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Innocent until proven guilty....maybe this is over some domestic issue.
Guest Steviekick Posted June 19, 2003 Report Posted June 19, 2003 Whether he is guitly or not guilty, this is a very sad thing to hear. I hope everything works out in the best way possible for all involved parties.
Guest Dangerous A Posted June 20, 2003 Report Posted June 20, 2003 I like Corino and hope his name clears. If not, he's a dirtbag.
Guest HartFan86 Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 I don't think Corino is lying. He seems to be one of the nicer guys in the business (talks to fans on AIM, etc.) and I would say he makes pretty good money on the Indies (comparing to Raven, who said he makes more money on the indies in a year then he did WWE...so I assume Corino is up there as well.) But, if Corino is guilty and he is lying....then that's a shame.
Adam Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I too hope his name clears. The statement that he wrote was good,a nd I hope the guy is on my TV bleeding his heart out again soon.
