Today, I dusted off my old 64 and went out and bought No Mercy for $4.25, I sold all my 64 games when I bought my gamecube. So now I can spend all summer trying to update the thing.

Smackdown opens with footage of the Zach Gowan-Stephanie McMahon-Sable-Vince McMahon angles from last week.

*John Cena comes to the ring and raps about it being the one year anniversary of taking the open challenge and making himself a superstar (defeating Chris Jericho). He says that he is offering an open challenge to any rookie. Out comes Orlando Jones. Cena defeated Jones and gives him the F-U after the bell. The Undertaker comes out on his motorcycle. Cena leaves the ring. Taker watches as Jones gets to his feet and shows respect for Jones.

*The Undertaker and the APA defeated all three members of the Full Blooded Italians when Undertaker pinned Johnny Stamboli.

*In a vignette on the Titantron, Jamie Knoble and Nidia were walking down the street in front of Madison Square Garden when an attorney approached them and informed Knoble he had inherited over 800 thousand dollars from a dead aunt. Nidia and Knoble freaked out over their winfall.

*Matt Hardy pinned Rikishi in a WWE United States Heavyweight championship tournament match.

*WWE Tag Team champions Eddy Guerrero and Yoshihiro Tajiri defeated Roddy Piper and Sean O'Haire when Tajiri blew mist in Piper's eyes and Guerrero hit him with the frog splash for the pin.

*Vince McMahon brought Stephanie McMahon and Zach Gowan to the ring. He told Stephanie that he thought about what she said last week and that he realized that he did indeed ask her to do things to "seal the deal" with business associates when she was young and feels like he "deflowered her" himself. He said that he took her innocence and she sees that innocence on Gowan. Vince told Gowan that he, too wants to be like Zach because with all that Vince has accomplished, he has never stared death down like Zach did. He said that he wants to apologize to Zach and start with a clean slate. Zach refuses and says that he has fought back from obstacle after obstacle to become a pro wrestler, only to have Vince mock him and tells Vince to go screw himself. He says that if Vince really wants to apologize, he'll offer Zach a WWE Smackdown wrestler contract. Vince says that if that's all it is about, then Zach can have one. Zach questions him in disbelief and Vince says that if Zach wants to earn it, he can join the "Vince McMahon Kiss My Ass Club" and pulls down his pants. Stephanie whispers something in Zach's ear and he goes down on his knees and lowblows Vince.

Zach and Stephanie leave and Vince gets up selling, before walking around the ring with Zach's cane. He throws the cane towards the ropes in anger, only for it to fly through the ropes, hitting the face of a 20 something lady in the front row. The woman was checked on by McMahon immediately as WWE cameras shot footage. After Vince returned to the back, the shaken woman and her boyfriend were taken to the back for medical attention. The crowd chanted "lawsuit" as she left.

*Ultimo Dragon pinned Shannon Moore. Rey Misterio Jr. was doing commentary and after the match came into the ring and raised Dragon's hand. Billy Kidman was at ringside watching the match from the front row with a woman on his arm (NYC area valet Miss Michelle).

*The Big Show, Charlie Haas, and Shelton Benjamin defeated WWE champion Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, and Mr. America when Show pinned America after a chokeslam. America was distracted by McMahon bringing out Zach Gowan and kicking him in the stomach. Stephanie McMahon came out and covered Gowan. Vince told Gowan that he could wrestle for his chance for a contract, teaming with Stephanie in a handicap match against the Big Show.

1) Orlando Jones? Hmm, I've heard things about him, who follows the minors/indys and can tell me about him? Since he got pinned I'm assumming he's not a hoss.

2) Oh goody Noble and Nidia get to play Beverly Hillbillies. This oughta be GREAT! /sarcasm off

3) Ulitmo and the lil' MF'er? Well, at least we know Moore will bump like a superball for him. Hope it got some time. I'm also dubious about they're latest apparent attempt to inject the Greasy Little Twink with a personality, whatever it might be.

4) Hogan jobs! Hogan jobs! And it leads to....Stephie and Zach vs. Big Show? Dear lord let's hope Big show pulls an Undertaker on Steph (chokeslam her through the mat BAH GAWD!)

RIIIIIIIIIP OOOOFFFF!

I was thinking about Storm being wealthy too. But the storyline would have to be something like his great aunt dies (of suspicious, weather-related, causes) and her lawyer/legal assistant, one D. Marie, has notified Lance that he is set to inherit his great aunt's vast fortune.

Didn't Cena beat Angle in his debut?

Maybe he was just talking about his first win?

I was at Smackdown.

Here are my spoilers-

Smackdown and Velocity spoilers

Aaron Stevens v. Roma-

Stevens was heel tonight and he got some decent heat. Most of the match was Stevens working on the leg. Roma won with a rollup out of nowhere.

Cat and Matthews came out for Velocity. Cat danced in the ring with Jimmy Korderas.

Billy Gunn (w/Torrie Wilson) v. Kanyon

Billy got the first guy out mega pop. Kanyon got a lot of face heat from the crowd and there were several Let’s Go Kanyon chants. The match was a pretty good match and was back and forth the whole way- Billy did a Kanyon Cutter at one point. Billy ended up winning with the FameAsser. Afterwards Torrie and Billy both pulled down their pants.

Albert v. Kevin Knight

Albert threw chairs into the ring and tossed the ring steps. He got the usual Shave your back chants and won with the trainwreck.

Spanky v. Xavier-

RING OF HONOR REPRESENT! This was a terrific match as Spanky gave Xavier a lot of offence and both guys shined here tonight. Spanky even did a plancha at one point. Xavier missed a 450 Splash and Spanky won with Sliced Bread #2.

Benoit/Rhyno v. The Basham Brothers (w/Shaniqua)

Yes- Benoit is on Velocity. You may now commence bitching. Rhyno played face-in-peril for the majority of the match. Benoit got the hot tag and kicked some ass with all his usual spots. Rhyno GORE GORE GORED Doug and then Benoit locked in the crossface for the win.

SMACKDOWN!

We get a video package of the Vince-Sable-Steph-Zach stuff from last week.

John Cena comes out for his MSG debut. He does his usual rap and got a mixed reaction. Last year was the one year anniversary that he answered Angle’s open challenge so to celebrate- he’s issuing an open challenge to any rookie. Cue…

ORLANDO JORDAN!!!!

Okay- MSG didn’t care either. Cena continued rapping on him until he uttered the word mother- which must’ve pissed off Jordan since he attacked him. This was a decent back and forth match. Cena won by rolling through a crossbody and holding the tights. After the match he gave Jordan the FU and the Undertaker of all people came to make the save.

Undertaker/APA v. FBI

The FBI have new music but that did not help them either. Ron Simmons was face-in-peril a majority of the not so good match. Taker worked in the Old School spot to the delight of the crowd and Bradshaw picked up the victory for his team by hitting Stamboli with the Clothesline from Hell.

In a pre-taped vignette we learn that Jamie Noble and Nidia have inherited $827,000. Congrats to the happy couple.

Wrestlemania recall spot- Wrestlemania I

Sable and Vince are backstage. Sable wants Vince bad but tonight is not the night. As Vinnie Sr. once said “The Gahden will always be the Gahden.”

Matt Hardy Version 1 v. Rikishi- US Title Tournament

This was a short decent match that saw everyone hit their usual spots. Matt kicked out of the Rikishi Driver while Rikishi responded by kicking out of the Twist of Fate. Matt was mega over in MSG and was the face as far as the crowd was concerned. Rikishi ran into an exposed turnbuckle (Matt exposed it) and got Twist of Fated for the Matt win.

Tajiri/Eddy Guerrero v. Roddy Piper/Sean O’Haire- World Tag Titles

Another short match that saw Tajiri play face in peril. Piper got a HUGE pop. The end came when Tajiri used the MIST!~ on Piper and then Eddy hit the Frog Splash on him for the win.

Yes- Roddy Piper actually did the job.

Vince McMahon came out and called out Zach and Stephanie. He claimed that he “deflowered” Stephanie which the Garden did not appreciate hearing. Vince apologised to her for whoring her out. Vince next apologised to Zach and said he admired him and wanted to be just like him. Zach would not accept his apology. Vince told Zach that he can be intimidating and Zach just RIPPED into him cutting a terrific promo where he called Vince a son of a bitch and DEMANDED a WWE contract. That got him way over with the crowd. Vince said fine as long as he joined that club that you and I both love-

The Kiss My Ass Club.

Having already been blinded by Piper’s pasty white chest I don’t think the crowd was ready for Vince’s ass. Zach got down on his knees and then gave Vince a lowblow. So no contract for him.

During the break- Vince grabbed Zach’s cane and did his crazy old man dance. He then threw the cane but ended up hitting a fan with it. The crowd chanted lawsuit as Vince checked on the guy.

Shannon Moore v. Ultimo Dragon

Rey was on commentary. They gave Shannon way too much offence which hurt the heat of the match since the crowd couldn’t give a crap about Shannon. Ultimo’s stuff looked great. At one point Shannon tried to slingshot in via the apron but he fell into the ring with no momentum. Don’t know if it was planned or not. Ultimo’s finisher is-

It looks like Shannon is trying an inverted suplex but in mid air Ultimo reverses to a reverse DDT. It looks AWESOME.

Mr. America/Angle/Lesnar v. Haas/Benjamin/Show

The faces got the pops of the night and controlled the majority of the match with a few face in peril spots leading to the hot tags and the great pop from the Garden. Lesnar did a back suplex to Show at one point and it looked impressive. Mr. America lifted up his mask randomly many times during the match so I don’t know how they will cover it in post production.

Show did a double chokeslam to Angle and Brock leaving it to him v. America. America went for the legdrop but before he could attempt it- Vince came out and he was beating up Zach. This distracted America enough so Big Show could chokeslam him for the win.

Vince then announced that next week- Big Show will take on Stephanie and Zach in a handicap match with Zach getting a contract if they win.

AFTER THE SHOW-

After the show Brock came back in and F5ed Haas and Benjamin. Him and Hogan posed and then Brock left. Hogan posed for a long time after the match.

All in all it was a pretty fun show- the wrestling wasn’t great so I don’t think it will come across too good on TV but it was a lot of fun attending the show.

Be sure to catch Velocity- Spanky v. Xavier is worth your viewing pleasure.

Rikishi's got no business kicking out of the Twist of Fate.

Kanyon getting face heat? Is anybody paying attention?
