It cracks me up that there's this perpetual complaining about how "this booking is killing Angle's career" but yet he's still every bit as over as he ever was.

So because terrible booking has yet to kill him, there is no reason for them to book him well?

 

 

 

Yes, it sucks that he's not given 30 minutes every week to showcase his skills, but he still gets mad amounts of TV time and looks good in doing it. 

 

 

Ringwise, he's has one match. hard to tell if he looks good yet.

 

Creatively, he's the weak link of the face side.

The girl kidman was with is a dime from right here in NYC. She has been in wrestling for years in feds like JCW, USA PRO and some other indies in the nyc area. Her name is Miss Michelle, and she does not have wrestling skill and mostly just cat fights but she is very cute and really nice in person. Oh and she played a heel role for most of her time in wrestling, so this should work for kidman as he is turning heel.

I truly don't want to get into a full blown argument about this, because your passion for him is stronger than my apathy. Just pointing out an impartial view.

 

I agree that they should be booking him better. But they're not. There's nothing we can do about it, including ranting on a message board every week. Fuck just focusing on the negative, and try to embrace the positive. Before you were pissed that he was in a midcard feud and now he's back in the main event on his show. But that's not good enough. Once he's done "lowering himself" in this feud for a month or two and use his position to elevate two other workers (Haas and Benjamin) he'll get escalated back to the main event of his entire "promotion". But I'm sure that still won't be good enough, will it?

 

And to the average fan he's NOT THE WEAK LINK OF THE FACE SIDE. The casual fans dig him, and are content. The marks dig him, and are content. The smarks dig him, although most would like him to get a better, more consistent push. The only ones who seem to be all bent out of shape and consider him being booked as a weak link are those that either base their entire online persona around him and those who argue about the differences between a ****3/4 and ****7/8 match.

This is how you elevate people. Bring them UP to the level of the maim eventers. Don't drag a main eventer down to their level. That accomplishes nothing.

 

They are doing fine by Haas and Benjamin by bringing them UP into the ME.

 

And to the average fan he's NOT THE WEAK LINK OF THE FACE SIDE.

 

So, he's NOT getting beat up and made to look like a damsel in distress that needs saving every week. Okay.

 

List all the things that he's done that make him look like a bad ass.

 

And "well, beating him up every week hasn't killed him yet, so continue and then we'll cross that bridge when we come to it" is not how you build a guy

What they're doing is holding off the Rhyno turn until like 2 weeks before the PPV when Benoit is in the semi-finals of this phantom tournament. So rather than keep them in the spotlight and think of something to do with them, they are just doing nothing. Which is what they have been doing with Benoit since he lost to Angle at the Rumble. That's what you get for putting on a great match, you get made out to be a pussy or you get jobbed out and main event velocity.

What about that Splash Mountain Bomb that he does to Cruisers. He can use that to wrestlers similar in size and then save the TOF for the bigger wrestlers if he ever gets to beat them.

These spoilers displease me. Especially the main event. Yes, let's take the two most over and viable faces in the company and have them taken out at once by the Big Show. And then put the focus of the match on sodding Vince, Stephanie and Zach Gowen. Why must Vince try and make me dislike the Big Show like this? How can I find Show amusing when they actually try to book him as a threat? At least his music remains. So, are they actually going to bother building to a Vengeance main event?

Rikishi kicked out of the TOF because Matt hit it early in the match- I think that was the story they were trying to tell since Matt kicked out of the Rikishi Driver right beforehand.

As for the main event, they are just doing it to get Big Show over so that when Angle pins him it will mean a lot. Really, I am sure.
