Guest Sakura Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Just wait until next week. It was only a tag match. Soon Kurt will fight Big Show one on one and he will win then. Just wait. It's only the start of his return. You can't judge the angle until it's over. Give it time.
Guest Dangerous A Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Perhaps they'll leave Benoit off of the first SD ppv so we can get more Sable/Zack/Vince/Steph shit shoved down our throats a la HBK and Flair being told to shave off half their match time to make more room for the disastrous Redneck Triathlon.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Just wait until next week. It was only a tag match. Soon Kurt will fight Big Show one on one and he will win then. Just wait. It's only the start of his return. You can't judge the angle until it's over. Give it time. Phew. I don't know what I would have done if someone failed to reassure me that I'm just over reacting and that I haven't given it enough time. BTW, Sakura, are you male or female? I always call you "she" or "her" and I appologize if I'm wrong.
Guest Sakura Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 You're not wrong, I am female. It will be funny when Big Show jobs to a woman and a one legged wrestler next week after going over Brock, Hogan and Angle.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I'm assuming (praying) he gets counted out
Guest Sakura Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Time to be an apologist again... Well, look on the bright side, at least this has you hoping Big Show doesn't lose. That is something you don't wish for every day! It's new and fresh!
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Just an FYI for those of you concerned w/ ratings & what-not: SD is pre-empted in Philly this week, actually airing Sat. @ 4:00 PM.

Guest bob_barron Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 If Benoit's only on Velocity once in awhile, I don't think it's nescessarily a big deal. If he becomes a 'regular' on that show, though... Jesus AS- You didn't take TC's bait. You've lost a step in your old age

D'oh! They fucked me over again. Philly times affect Southern Jersey times. Hey at least you get to see it. I wanted to see Ultimo debut but I will be on a plane by the time it airs on Saturday. Fucking Phillies, the game would most likely be on TBS anyway so just show it on that.

There's a piece of magic that can make you catch a show that you might miss otherwise. It's called a Video Cassette Recorder...or VCR for short. [sorry, didn't mean to sound condecending, just joshing ya.]
Guest Anglesault Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 If Benoit's only on Velocity once in awhile, I don't think it's nescessarily a big deal. Regardless, we all know that Tim has made some "questionable" judgment calls in life, so this is just another one.
Guest the pinjockey Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 My VCR is going to be busy already.
Guest Boo_Bradley Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 They're just trying to build up Velocity. You guys are never happy. You bitch when Benoit is in the mid card and then when he is put in a main event you guys bitch it's not the right show. Why do you have to look for flaws like that? You're really looking for flaws too hard when you point out that Benoit is on a jobber's show. As for the main event, they are just doing it to get Big Show over so that when Angle pins him it will mean a lot. Really, I am sure. Goldburg was on World Wide while holding the US belt, and awaiting the inevitable World Title run.... Did it hurt his profile to ME a squash show?
Guest treble charged Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I don't think it's so much being on Velocity constantly that would hurt Benoit, it's more that he wouldn't be on SmackDown. Hopefully he has at least a backstage segment or something this week.

Was Goldberg being jobbed left and right at that point? And wasn't Goldberg also on Nitros?
Guest Boo_Bradley Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Was Goldberg being jobbed left and right at that point? And wasn't Goldberg also on Nitros? Using facts to back up your argument.... to quote Stewie "Damn!!"
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Here is the woman Kidman was seen with (Miss Michelle) And some info on her http://www.glorywrestling.com/gg/MissMichelle/MM.asp
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I think they taped an interview with Kidman after the show and got a bunch of people to stand around in the background. The arena was quiet, and Josh Matthews was the one doing the interview in the stands and then they cut two seconds later Josh Matthews is doing the Ring Intros. - Cena vs Jordan was a decent match. Orlando Jordan is sorta growing on me. Taker coming out to give him the rub was intriguing. - The first 6 man was just stupid. - Jamie Noble tells Nidia to give the lawyer a special kiss and she goes and tries to take the lawyers pants off. And Noble and Nidia are going to Applebees !!!!! - Matt Hardy got a decent match out of Rikishi. Rikishi busted out the Rikishi Driver which is now a sitout piledriver. MATT FACT - Matt has better Abs than Rikishi - The Tag match was by far the worst match of the night..not good since Eddy - O'haire was bad last week as well. - Zach calling Vince a son of a bitch was gold. Vince telling Zach to get on his KNEES to kiss his ass? They don't show Vince throwing the cane. - The Ultimo Dragon match was a disapointment. I think they did a nice job of hyping him up though. The Reverse DDT is pretty awesome. - The main event gets 2 commercial breaks. 1 after the intros and one about halfway into the match. The action before the first 2nd break is neat and organized and then afterwards it pretty much breaks down. Tazz going off on why the crowd was chanting for USA, and Hogan and then calling Mr. America "hogan" himself is pretty funny. I think it was still a decent match for a 6 man but the ending was lame. And then to find out that next week its Steph/Zach vs Big Show..
Guest bob_barron Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Marvin- Did they show Hogan taking off his mask? Mexipan Connection v. Piper and O'Haire was better then the 6-man I thought. The crowd was much more into the tag match

Guest bob_barron Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Hmmm- I wonder how they did it- Hogan took off his mask about 4-5 times during the match. He did it right before Vince came out.

Guest Anglesault Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Did Angle look any better creatively than the spoilers suggest?
