Ok now I understand that there are some things that smarks analyze WAY to closely.

However Kane's unmasking is not one of them!

I was showing my mom pictures of it and explaining to her about him having hair every other time he was unmasked. She sat there for a second and said "Maybe you're looking at it to closely...."

WTF? How is that analyzing or looking at something to closely?

Does anyone think that we are looking at things to cloesly with this unmasking?

Personally, I think that this situation is just to ridiculous to not look at closely. It's supposed to be a major angle that is meant to anchor an entire brand's show. How can we not look hard at a situation that ended up , IMO, as around a 0.6 Shockmaster?

As mentioned, its the fact that they showed a clip not an hour earlier with the exact same scenario except that time Kane's hair didn't go with the mask, it stayed perfectly in place. I think the Kane situation should be analyzed, but I can completely understand why Damaramu's mom thinks that way... wrestling has a stigma... a reputation for being stupid. Why? Because let's face it, it usually is. Some of the "greatest" storylines in the history of wrestling as named by the smart marks, could be looked back upon and laughed at by "normal" people. The whole Kane/Undertaker feud for example. It's so over the top that I remember ALOT of my friends that were not fans, laughing their asses off and constantly asking me why I watched "that shit." I kind of just learned recently to stop bitching about the storylines and just try and look for good matches and the occassional interesting character. Why should we be so surprised that this kane thing is stupid? This is the same company that thought killing the undertaker in the early 90's, having his spirit float to the heavens on pay per view with horribly cheesy special effects, and then bringing in a fake undertaker, was a sure fire hit!

Kane could of been wearing a wig his entire stay in the WWE, only taking the mask off before because he felt he didn't want to be seen, and he wasn't, but now that he knows he has to and wants to, he lets it all go, wig and all.

 

You really just gotta take things for what they are, if your analyzing things to the point where you can't enjoy anything(and considering the WWE is theatre SO many do) then why watch?

I think we all look at things way too closely. I think we are getting trained to bitch about these things sometimes. For me, if it doesn't affect the angle I don't care. Kane's hair coming off doesn't affect his future matches - don't care. When someone behaves nonsensically - like when someone turns heel and face 900 times or when deadly enemies become best friends for no reason (like when Nash joins HHH sometimes soon) piss me off.

Maybe the WWE will *gasp* realize the plot hole and try to explain it next week (like when Kane shoved HHH in the trunk of the car and it popped open and HHH had to manually close it. They at least had HHH acknoledge that the trunk was open which allowed him to escape.)

Well we got to remember folks that wrestling itself is suspension of disbelief..

 

we know they couldn't really physically show a deformed Kane. They could try, later on with the right makeup and creature creations from the movies. But intially I doubt they could put that mess under Kane's mask.

 

Plus hell the eyeliner isn't anything new. check out most movies where the masked men use it, Batman etc. Hell in Batman 2 when Keetan took off his mask, first you saw the eyeliner, then the next screeen shot you didn't see it. Its only function is to darken the skin around the eyes making the eyeholes seem cavernous.

 

We know there is suspension of disbelief in most things in wrestling, and thats one aspect which makes it a show and not reality.....

 

 

because the basic point is this, if these guys were really feuding, you think they would be backstage passing each other in the halls getting coffee. hells no the fightning might not even reach the ring.

 

I dislike the whole Unmasking Kane premise firstly its just another self serving accomplishment HHH can put on himself on camera. secondary they invested 6 years into Kane as the character. Glen Jacobs was given a storyline that rivialed that creatively of the Undertaker gimmick. And he played it to the hilt up to what, late 1999? They sell that Kane's face was horribly scarred by fire, hell his whole body originally was scarred by fire, but his tights magically lose the arm coverings and display more of his chest dispelling the storyline of him being totally burned,

 

they demask him 3 or 4 times and most of the time they sell it like it is the most grotesque thing on the planet. The way they talk you'd think kane's face was just a burned away SKULL under the face tight mask. Until they did that half mask shit, which again decreased the believablity of the gimmick. Not like the Gimmick was very believable to begin with, but it was still money. Now that Kane is seen, and they might even go with him unscarred, they have to either come up with a better idea of what to say, or they get some Dawn of the Dead Creative artist to make him up some functional prostectic Face components that look burn't.

 

either way it was a Fuckup of Historical Proportions and it serves to benefit no one but the few people who can some how try get credit for it.

 

remember folks Undertaker didn't REALLY Die that Royal Rumble.... His soul did NOT ascend to Heaven...he didn't perform that poem from inside the coffin, im sorry to burst your bubble, but it was Marty Jenetty in a Duster and some Kung Fu Wiring. LOL

Here's your explanation about Kane's wig...

 

He's always used wig krazy glue to hold his wig down, therefore it always stuck to his head when he was unmasked by other people, who would simply grab the mask itself.

 

On Monday, Kane grasped both his mask AND his wig, and RIPPED the wig off his scalp.

I do think that fans are starting to look too deeply into things, but I'm unsure if it's whether it's to prove how smart they are, or just to find flaws in the wwe, or whatever else.

 

Too many debates lately are if a certain match is ***** or ****3/4. Or the lineage of a belt. Or inconsistencies such as Kane's scalp.

 

My point is that we're talking about a fake sport that is actually closer to a play or a soap opera than a legitimate sporting event, and we all sound like Trekkies or Deadheads or the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. Just enjoy what you can, ignore what you don't enjoy, and hope things get better.
