Guest Stupuss Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 News from the July issue of UK magazine Powerslam: "Silver Vision will release profile videos/DVDs of Trish Stratus, Brock Lesnar & Ric Flair over the next six months." Looks like we will finally get the Ric Flair DVD, lets hope it will be as good as everyone wants it to be and not 90% WWF/WWE 10% NWA/WCW. It deserves at least 10 of his classic NWA/WCW matches plus the entire 1992 Royal Rumble match.
Guest Dillon Likes Bossman Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Isn't it a little to early for a Brock DVD?
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Yes it is, and too early for Trish as well. You know who needs one? The Dudley Boyz- now that the ECW footage is available, that could be on there, along with the TLC matches and whatnot.
Guest ftwdevils2469 Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Didn't we already debate the Lesnar DVD?
Guest Si82 Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Finally a Ric Flair DVD. I really hope they put a load of badass NWA/WCW footage on there. They have to right? I mean most of the guy's career highlights have taken place there. On another point, why can I never get Power Slam until a Friday here in Sunderland? I just don't understand it.
Guest pochorenella Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho also got their own videos inside of their first WWF year, so I don't think it's too early for a Brock video/DVD. If DVDs were as widely released then as they're now I'm pretty sure the Jericho and Angle ones would've been DVDs also.
Guest Angle-plex Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I bet Flair vs Triple H on RAW that one time is an extra match on the DVD.
Mecha Mummy Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Well, if so, hopefully they include the stuff that happened after the match as well. Still, WHOOOOOO! And considering that Trish has had what, three good matches... oh, wait, nobody's buying it for the extra matches anyway.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Hopefully they put some awesome shit on the Flair DVD. It has potential to be their best release yet, but the Lesner & Trish DVD's don't interest me at all though.....
Guest BrokenWings Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I don't think the Trish DVD interests anyone..
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Well let's hope we get Hulk STLL Rules for flair with like 15 extra matches instead of HBK with 7. Knowing the WWE the 7 will be: 2 matches from NWA/WCW(one of which being the final Nitro against Sting), Savage from WM8, Vince from RR02, Taker from WMX8, HHH from Raw and HBK from Bad Blood.
Guest razazteca Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 The Dudley Boys already have a best of ECW DVD but it does not have that many matches I hope the Flair DVD has the series vs Savage, Brett Hart, Sting. Well I only want the Sting match from Clash of Champions 1.
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 This article doesn't even mention matches being on it. Is this unofficial or licensed or what? It says Silver Vision which isn't WWE I don't think.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I'd rather see a Brock one a few years from now so I could watch it and say "Oh yeah, I remember that."
Guest jm29195 Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Silvervision is the wwe's uk distributor of dvds/videos
Guest LatinoHeat Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Why doesn't wwe just distribute their own shows over there? Why is Silvervision needed?
Guest treble charged Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Probably just cheaper for them. Koch does the same thing in Canada.
Guest tpww7 Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Meltzer confirmed Brock has a DVD out in the beginning of August.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Yes. A Trish Stratus DVD before a Chris Benoit or Eddy Guerrero DVD. Keep it up, WWE.
Guest Shanghai Kid Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 This is great! They're finally listening to us and giving us what we want. Man I can't wait for this Trish DVD!
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 September 15th: 09:00am - Silvervision releases the Best of Trish Stratus DVD. 09:15am - Trish's UK fans issue a number of releases of their own.
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Doesn't Trish already have a bunch of DVDs?
Guest Choken One Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Shut up. "Stratus gets a dvd before eddy or Benoit...Boo Hoo". In all likelyhood...The stratus video is akin to the Sable Unleashed Video Workout/Story and maybe some wrestling matches. Lesnar is likely akin to the "THE ROCK" Video series where they followed him around town and shit. The real story is Flair DVD. I'm not sure how much NWA footage they actually own but I've seen them used 1983 starrcade, which indicates they got an shitload of em. 15 Matches please 7 NWA/WCW and 8 WWE.... Flair/Race 1983 Starrcade Flair/Steamboat (Pick your poison) Flair/Sting COTC 1 Flair/Luger (???) Flair/Vader (Starrcade 1993) Flair/Anderson (Fall Brawl 1995) Flair/Sting (Final Nitro) Flair/ ??? (WWF Debut) Royal Rumble 1992 (full length) Flair/Savage (WM8) Flair/Hart (Title Change) Flair/Perfect (Loser leaves town RAW 1993) Flair/McMahon (Rumble 02) Flair/Undertaker (WMX8) Flair/HHH (June Raw) -With aftermath footage. Throw in about 2 hours of promos and skits...and we're golden.
Guest RollingSambos Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I call for 3 discs for Flair, but we know that there's no chance in hell of that happening. I just hope that it's at least a 2-disc set ala Hogan's, and not another "From The Vault" with only 7 matches. I'd like to see:
All 3 Flair v. Steamboat matches...but if only one can make it, I'd prefer that it NOT be WrestleWar '89 because that's on HHH's DVD.
Flair v. Bret from Saskatoon, 1992
Flair v. Vader from Starrcade '93
War Games '97
Flair v. Perfect from Monday Night RAW (Loser leaves the WWF)
Royal Rumble 1992
Flair v. Savage from WrestleMania VIII
Flair v. Hogan from Bash at the Beach '94
Flair/Piper/Greene v. Nash/Hall/Syxx from Slamboree '97
Flair's return to Nitro after Bischoff fired him
Flair v. Funk, "I Quit" match
Flair v. Sting I from Clash of the Champs
Flair v. Taker from WrestleMania X8
Flair v. McMahon from Royal Rumble '02
Flair v. Race from Starrcade '83
Flair v. Dusty Rhodes from whatever, Great American Bash '86 or Starrcade
Flair v. HHH from RAW (2003)
Flair v. Austin
Flair v. Jericho
Flair v. Lesnar
Guest Brian Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Hopefully they put on some of the rarer Flair matches, like more of the Mid-South stuff (weren't they in the process of buying the library).
Guest BoboBrazil Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 Who wants to bet the put atleast the same amount of WWE matches for Flair on the dvd as they do footage from any other promotion? Watch them have like 5 matches on it from since his return in 2001.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 The Flair DVD will just be a way of getting over HHH.
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 "All 3 Flair v. Steamboat matches...but if only one can make it, I'd prefer that it NOT be WrestleWar '89 because that's on HHH's DVD." Why not? Lots of us still didn't consider that DVD worth buying.
KTID Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 On another point, why can I never get Power Slam until a Friday here in Sunderland? I just don't understand it. I've the same problem, and i live in Scotland. I usually get it on the Friday, sometimes not until Saturday, but never the Thursday it's supposed to be out
