Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted June 28, 2003 -The reason Hulk Hogan has been making so many comments about Vince McMahon's hair recently is that one of the matches being discussed for Vengeance is Mr. America vs. McMahon in a mask vs. hair match. Although Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle is the expected Vengeance main event, Big Show's double chokeslam on those wrestlers has caused some speculation in WWE that Show may be added to the match, making it a three-way. -Although one cable industry source said the original buyrate estimates for WWE's Bad Blood pay-per-view were over 400,000, a WWE source now reports that the show drew closer to 300,000 buys. The same source reports that WrestleMania in March drew fewer than 600,000 buys, which is dramatically lower than other reports. -WWE's original plan was to give the U.S. Title to Chris Benoit. However, there is now talk that the belt will go to Billy Gunn, who is a longtime favorite of Vince McMahon. Gunn is slated for a house show feud with Matt Hardy, so my guess is that those two will meet in the finals of the tournament. -Lots of rumors that Nathan Jones will be cut by WWE soon. The only thing that is saving him now, according to sources, is his size, which Vince McMahon loves, and the fact that Jim Ross doesn't want to give up on a guy he pushed so hard for. Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted June 28, 2003 First they were planning on Benoit, and now Gunn? I'm actually really surprised that Hardy and Cena weren't at least heavily considered to win. I thought for sure that it would be one of them. Actualy, I'm sticking to that prediction seeing how this is just a rumour...

Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted June 28, 2003 You know, I think Benoit's actually above the US title in status level or should be but the fact that Vince might be of the thinking that Gunn's more important than Benoit just completely boggles the mind. I don't hate Gunn but I don't think even the biggest Benoit hater could possably think Gunn's a better choice than Benoit.

Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted June 28, 2003 Gunn comes back from a wrist injury and wins the US title. Benoit comes back from a FUCKING NECK INJURY and gets a shitty heel turn and a total misuse of character. FUCK THAT.

OMG, they finally bring back the prestigious title and the first person they give it to is gonna be that joke of a KOTR winner? What a fucking insult. Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted June 28, 2003 Wrestlemania XX main event: Smackdown vs Raw: HHH vs Billy Gunn-unification of the titles. Quite honestly, I don't know who'd win this. I think the WWE loves Billy Gunn that much!
Guest Blue Bacchus Report post Posted June 28, 2003 wildpegasus is right, Benoit is above the US title. Any title other than WWE championship isn't worth it.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2003 I think its going to be Mr. America / Big Show @ Vengeance. Shades of Andre come into mind... They might just save Hogan/McMahon Part II for SummerSlam. Is it me or is Billy Kidman gonna be a heel when he...well...heals. Can't wait to see Mysterio/Kidman again, those were few of good times in WCW.

All you do is bitch! /WWF apologist lol All kidding aside, Angle and Brock have great chemistry together. Their first match together was classic, think how good they get now that Angle and Brock are working without all that pressure on them to save WrestleMania.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted June 28, 2003 I think they are planning on doing the three way to save the Brock/Angle match for a bigger PPV. Also, if there are too many Brock/Angle matches, the fear of the match growing stale could be there. Don't know why they plan on the Big Show being there of all people, but I can see why they are having a three-way match.

Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted June 28, 2003 This is horrible. We were joking at work about guys that they would give the US Title, going by the recent string of stupid decisions, and I said A-Train, while a co-worker said Billy Gunn. Dear God I hope he's not psychic, that this is just a rumor, and it's all one big coincidence. I have to say, Benoit doesn't need a US belt. He needs to be in the main event mix, but that's fallen on deaf ears for years now. The US Title should be used to push Cena, Hardy, O'Haire (quiet you naysayers!), Rhyno I suppose...I can see why Rey, Noble, Tajiri, etc. wouldn't contend yet (or at all) since they're cruisers. But GUNN!? Gunn does NOT need a title to get over, because NOTHING CAN GET HIM OVER! THEY'VE TRIED THIS BEFORE! He's been a cowboy, a "musician", a Bad Ass, a slightly homoerotic Ass Man, a completly homosexual Ass Man, a reformed homosexual, and right back into "guy who likes to reveal himself" mode. They think that sticking Torrie "we never had a good angle to push her in but hey she was in Playboy" Wilson with him will help? IT WON'T! Rant Over. Gunn sucks.
