Well, there were two matches - the PPV one from Armageddon 2000 and the RAW match the next night. The second one was the head dropping one and I have yet to see that match for myself. Apparently Armageddon was Billy's 'last chance' to prove himself as an upper-carder, and considering two weeks later he was feuding with the RTC.... well, draw your own conclusions. Did Benoit actually TRY to make Gunn look good? I remember him looking stiff and seemed like he wasn't puting effort in making him look good (not that I would blame the guy)... I haven't seen the Armageddon match in over a year, and all I can remember is a sloppy tilt-a-whirl slam from Billy, and quite possibly the worst triple germans I've ever seen from Benoit, where Billy was limp like a rag doll, making for a bad visual. Anyway, if they don't put the US title on Cena they're mad. He needs direction. His SD match lasting less than two minutes was sad. And yes, Smiley Happy is just not doing it for me.

Guest wildpegasus Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 The match at Armegeddon between Gunn and Benoit was good. The problem IMO was the King and Jim Ross who was in his "boring I don't care about this match and I'm going to drag it down" mode.
