SWF Storm Losing Matches

Guest Mr. Slim Citrus

Damn I seem to start a lot of these fucking things! I think I have a pretty good idea of why I lost, but I'd like some feedback, anyway...

=================

FADE IN

* As we rejoin Storm, “Rock Superstar” begins to fade out, as “The Franchise” Mak Francis, the last contestant in the Battle Royal, enters the ring. *

“Welcome back to Storm,” confirms Mark Stevens. “During the break, all of the participants in the Battle Royal were introduced, and we’re about ready to get right down to the action!”

Soapdish orders the timekeeper to ring the bell, and all ten men immediately converge upon each other in the ring.

DING! DING! DING!

Kibagami and Thoth pair off in the corner, as would be expected. Janus begins to make his way over to lend his assistance, when Renegade, who spins him around and blasts him in the face with a fierce punch, stops him!

BAP!

Janus’ head snaps back with the force of the blow, but as Renegade rears back to deliver another punch, the Hell Machine extends his arm and engulfs Renegade’s hand in his massive paw. The Aussie Monster turns towards the nearest corner and whips Renegade fiercely into the turnbuckles, dropping him to his knees as he bounces out of the corner with a devastating kidney shot!

“Janus has wasted no time in making his presence felt in this match,” notes Stevens.

“He’s my pick the whole thing,” says Bobby Riley. “Look at him in there; Renegade is 6’5, 260, and Janus is manhandling him as if he were a small child!”

Elsewhere in the ring, Xero and Wildchild, the two smallest men in the match, go at each other, trading chops in the center of the ring…

SMACK! WHOO!

SMACK! WHOO!

SMACK! WHOO!

SMACK! WHOO!

Wildchild is the first to take advantage, stunning Xero with a kick to the midsection. He grabs Xero by the arm and whips him towards the ropes, but the resident of Port Colborne reverses. Xero whips his leg quickly through the air, looking to catch Wildchild as he bounces off the ropes with a roundhouse kick, but the Bahama Bomber ducks underneath and races to the other side. Xero back near the ropes and drops to a low crouch as Wildchild bounces off the ropes a second time, and grabs him from underneath with both arms, launching him into the air, but the Caribbean Cruiser shifts his body in midair and rams Xero in the face with both feet, knocking him backwards with a front dropkick!

“Xero is out,” shouts Stevens. “He’s the first one eliminated!”

Xero stumbles backwards from the force of the dropkick, and falls over the top rope, but he manages to hang on, and lands on the ring apron instead.

“No way,” yells Riley. “His feet didn’t touch!”

Xero rolls back into the ring underneath the bottom rope, and scrambles to his feet, making a beeline for Wildchild, who back is turned to him. He grabs Wildchild by the back of the head and the seat of the pants, and leads him over to the edge of the ring, where he dumps him over the top rope!

“Hah,” snorts Riley. “Xero teaches him a lesson for taking his eye off his opponent!”

This time, it is the Bahama Bomber who hangs on to the top rope, using it to pull himself back into the ring!

“Don’t be too sure about that,” replies Stevens. “Wildchild skins the cat! He’s back in the ring!”

Wildchild considers pursuing Xero again, but sees Sean Atlas trading blow with TNT nearby, and decides to lend his energy to that confrontation instead.

Across the ring, hated rivals Thoth and Kibagami continue to wallop each other, exchanging kicks to the ribs

Kibs kicks Thoth!

Thoth kicks Kibs!

Kibs kicks Thoth!

Thoth kicks Kibs!

Kibs kicks Thoth!

Thoth kicks Kibs!

“Kibagami and Thoth are going at it in the corner like there’s no tomorrow,” shouts Stevens. “I don’t think they even care that there are eight other men in the ring!”

Nathaniel finally takes advantage, seemingly powered by sheer fury, as he fights through the pain to deliver another fierce kick to Thoth’s ribs, then another, and another! He further presses his advantage, quickly whipping his body around and stunning Thoth with a spinning back kick to the gut, and following immediately by planting that foot on the mat and using it to propel himself into the air, as he whips his other leg around to blast Thoth in the face with a gamengiri!

“What an impressive display of martial arts kicks by Kibagami,” exclaims Stevens.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ring, Renegade is struggling mightily against the massive Janus. The Hell Machine tries to capture him in a Hell Crush, but has to settle for a conventional bearhug when Renegade manages to wriggle his arms out of the Aussie Monster’s grip. In a desperate attempt to free himself before he runs out of air, Renegade draws his arms back, and swings them forward towards each other for all he’s worth!

DING!

“Renegade with an Ear Clap on Janus to break free of the bearhug,” shouts Stevens. “That’ll ring his bell!”

BANG!

Janus releases Renegade as he reaches up to cover his ears, and Renegade takes advantage of the opportunity to stun the Hell Machine with a kick to the gut, then traps him in a front facelock and falls towards the canvas, planting Janus face-first with a DDT!

“Big DDT by Renegade,” shouts Stevens. “And he’s got the big man reeling!”

Renegade pops to his feet, and gives the sign for the Renebreak, which gets the crowd cheering.

“He’s going for the Renebreak,” cries Stevens. “If he hits this, Janus could be done!”

Renegade pulls Janus to his feet and applies a three-quarter facelock. He turns around and starts to leave his feet to execute the Renebreak, but Janus shoves him off forcefully, propelling him into the ropes.

WHAM!

Renegade lowers his head as he bounces off the ropes, charging towards Janus and ramming his shoulder into the giant’s midsection with an earth-shattering spear! The Hell Machine staggers backwards but, amazingly, stays on his feet!

“What a Gore by Renegade,” exclaims Stevens.

“It wasn’t enough,” replies Riley, “Janus is still on his feet!”

Renegade scrambles back to his feet and rushes towards the wobbling Aussie Monster and grabs him by the arm, whipping him into a vacant corner.

CRASH!

The New York brawler charges Janus in the corner, lowering his head to deliver another devastating spear, but the giant uses the ropes to pull himself out of the corner, leaving Renegade to crash shoulder-first into the middle turnbuckle.

“Hah,” snorts Riley. “Nobody home.”

Janus quickly shakes his head to clear the cobwebs, and then stretches his arm behind him, flexing his fingers as he waits for Renegade to stagger out of the corner.

WHAAAM!!!

As Renegade turns around, the Hell Machine’s arm thrusts forward, and his massive hand wraps around the New Yorker’s throat. Janus stares at Renegade with a cold fury, and then lifts him high above the mat with one hand, leaning over the top rope and hurling Renegade down to the arena floor!

“Oh my God,” shrieks Stevens. “Janus just chokeslammed Renegade outside the ring!”

“One down, nine to go,” notes Riley.

Back across the ring, Thoth staggers into the corner, and Nathaniel hops quickly back to his feet. He rushes over to Thoth and ascends to the middle turnbuckle, standing over his nemesis as the crowd starts to get behind him, before laying into him with ten-count punches!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

FOUR!

WHAM!

Kibagami spies Janus approaching him out of the side of his eye, and leaps off the turnbuckle, blasting him in the chest with a flying Shotei! Nathaniel takes a step backwards as Janus bends down, clutching his chest, and suddenly flips forward, nailing the Hell Machine in the top of the head with a Rolling Koppou Kick!

“Kibs is on fire,” shouts Stevens. “He’s handling Thoth AND the massive Janus at once!”

Kibagami pulls Janus to his feet and traps him in a front facelock, battering his face with a relentless series of knee strikes! He then shifts the Aussie Monster into a standing headscissors, and gives the sign for his deadly Crucifix Powerbomb.

“Kibagami is seeking Rough Redemption for Janus,” screams Stevens.

“Bah,” scoffs Riley. “He’ll never get him up!”

Indeed he won’t, for as he bends over to wrap his arms around Janus’ waist, Thoth lunges out of the corner, drilling Nathaniel in the back with a double axe-handle! He pulls Kibagami off of his protégé, but Nathaniel suddenly whips around, knocking Thoth’s hands away and blasting him in the face with a crushing elbow smash!

WHAM!

Kibagami grabs Thoth by the arm and whips him towards the ropes, but Thoth reverses, sending him into the waiting Janus, who floors him with a running Big Boot!

“And just like that,” says Riley mirthfully, “the tables are turned!”

As Janus and Thoth commence with beating down Kibagami, the camera shifts its focus across the ring, where old rivals Mak Francis and CIA are getting it on in the corner.

“And while Thoth and Janus beat down poor Nathaniel,” repeats Stevens, “we see the Franchise and CIA going head on the other side of the ring. Boy, Bobby, there’s nothing like a battle royal to renew old feuds!”

“Yeah,” agrees Riley. “Almost brings a tear to my eye!”

Mak and CIA exchange punches near the corner, with the Canadian Superstar taking advantage when he ducks a wild swing by the Franchise and traps him in a waistlock, lifting him off the canvas and planting him with a release German Suplex! Rolling to his feet, CIA points towards the rafters and walks over to the corner.

“Air Canada coming up,” yells Stevens.

CRASH!

CIA climbs to the top turnbuckle and steadies himself before leaping off backwards. He twists and turns towards Mak, positioning himself to drive the point of his elbow through his old rival’s heart, but the Franchise rolls out of the way and onto the ring apron, causing the Canadian Superstar to crash into the canvas!

CRASH!

Francis uses the top rope to pull himself to his feet on the apron, and grasps onto it tightly, before using it to slingshot himself into the ring to deliver a Senton Atomico, but this time it’s CIA rolls out of the way, causing the Franchise to crash back-first into the mat!

“Francis and CIA are really beating each other up out there,” says Riley.

“They might want to consider taking their chances with different opponents,” adds Stevens. “They may be a little to familiar with each other to take a decisive advantage in a match like this!”

As Francis and CIA both lay on the mat catching their breath, the camera’s focus shifts to where TNT and Wildchild are taking turns beating up on Sean Atlas, sending him back and forth between them with a flurry of punches and chops. Unbeknownst to them, Xero is crouched over in the corner, away from everybody else, watching as the two faces batter the Magnificent Seven member.

“Look at that coward Xero,” spits Stevens venomously. “He’s sitting over in the corner watching everyone else!”

“Xero may be the smartest man in this match,” replies Riley. “It looks like he’s going to let everyone else kill each other, and then swoop in and steal the match!”

TNT and Wildchild drag Atlas over to the edge of the ring. As they prepare to try to throw him out of the ring, Xero apparently sees the opportunity he’s been waiting for. Atlas wraps one arm around the top rope and braces the other against the ring apron, as he kicks his legs wildly, struggling for all he’s worth to stay in the match. Ever the capitalist, Xero sneaks up behind Wildchild and drives a running knee into his back. The self-proclaimed King of the DDT traps Wildchild in an inverted front facelock, but the Bahama Bomber spins around, grabbing Xero underneath the legs and lifting him off the canvas, planting him forcefully with a double-leg takedown.”

“Impressive counter by the Wildchild,” notes Stevens.

“Yeah,” adds Riley. “That almost resembled actual wrestling… almost…”

Wildchild assumes a mounted position over Xero’s head, and begins assaulting him with punches. He pulls Xero to his feet, but the King of the DDT surprises him with a sudden kick to the midsection. Pushing him backwards against the ropes, Xero grabs Wildchild by the arm and whips him across the ring, but the Bahama Bomber stops on a dime and reverses, sending Xero into…

(Before we get ahead of ourselves…)

Back across the ring, Thoth and Janus continue to put a serious hurting on Kibagami. Janus holds Nathaniel up for Thoth, as the evil Nihonjin assaults him with a barrage of stiff Shotei. At Thoth’s order, the Hell Machine releases Kibagami and watches as he falls to the mat in a heap. Thoth picks Nathaniel back up, and looks Janus in the eyes, swiping his thumb across his neck in a slashing motion. The Hell Machine nods, a slow, sadistic smile spreading across his face, and steps close to Kibagami, applying a standing headscissors.

“My God,” shrieks Stevens, “Janus is going to kill Nathaniel Kibagami! If he hits this Dark Bomb, there’s no WAY Kibagami can survive!”

“Kibs could be facing the shortest comeback since X,” Riley says with a smirk.

Janus wraps his arms around Nathaniel’s waist, and lifts him high into the air. Positioning his hands underneath Kibagami’s legs, he hoists him even further above his head, and begins to walk towards the edge of the ring.

“Oh NO! He’s going to Dark Bomb him clear out of the ring,” screams Stevens. “Somebody stops that monster before he KILLS somebody!”

Janus is only a few feet away from the ropes, and begins to lower Kibagami into what could potentially be a fatal drop…

SMACK!

… When suddenly, Xero runs into him from behind! The King of the DDT, flung from the other side of the ring by Wildchild, rams into the back of the Hell Machine, and the unexpected collision causes Janus to release Nathaniel. Kibagami suffers a comparatively mild fall to the canvas, and the enraged Aussie Monster whips around to face his assailant.

“Uh oh,” moans Stevens. “Xero may have just made the biggest mistake of his whole career! Maybe his whole life!”

“It wasn’t him, Janus,” cries Riley. “Wildchild did it! Kill the Caribbean guy!”

Xero’s eyes grow wide as saucers, and he holds his hands in front of him in a desperate attempt to placate the Aussie Giant. “Take it easy, big fella,” he pleads. “It wasn’t my fault! It wasn’t my—ulp!”

Xero finds himself unable to complete his sentence, as Janus has wrapped his hand around his throat, and begun to squeeze. With a jerk that threatens to pull Xero’s head clean off his body, Janus yanks the King of the DDT off the canvas and holds him high overhead with both hand. Seemingly growing angrier by the second, Janus unleashes a blood-curdling scream that reverberates throughout the arena!

At the sound of Janus’ scream, all action in the ring stops. Wildchild and TNT release Atlas, and all three turn towards the center of the ring. Francis and CIA stop from hitting each other in mid-swing. Even Thoth turns his attention away from his highly enjoyable task of kicking Kibagami in the face. All eyes in the ring are currently on Janus.

“Bobby, look at that,” exclaims Stevens. “It’s like time has stopped in the ring!”

Janus suddenly surges forward, still holding Xero high overhead. TNT, Atlas and Wildchild all give the Hell Machine a wide berth, running to either side as Janus approaches the edge of the ring.

CRASH!

Janus arches his arms back slightly as he approaches the edge of the ring, and uses his running start to give him extra momentum, and as he reaches the ropes, the Aussie Monster snaps his arms forward, heaving Xero out of the ring, and over the ring barricade into the crowd!

HOLY SHIT!

HOLY SHIT!

HOLY SHIT!

HOLY SHIT!

“Dear God! Janus just threw Xero into the crowd,” shouts Stevens. “He threw him all the way into the fifth row!”

“I told you,” adds Riley. “Janus is going to win the whole thing!”

Inside the ring, the action remains at a stand still. Wildchild, Francis, CIA, Atlas and TNT all exchange looks, as though they all understand what they have to do. Suddenly, five of them converge on Janus, swarming on his back as they try to force him out of the ring.

“It looks like everybody’s decided to team up to try to get rid of Janus,” notes Stevens.

“I don’t suppose you can blame them,” adds Riley. “Let’s face it, there isn’t a guy in the ring right now who can throw Janus over the top rope by himself.”

Becoming even further enraged, Janus thrusts his left leg back, flinging Wildchild and CIA back towards the center of the ring.

BAM!

Finally settling both feet back on the canvas, Janus whips around and smashes the point of his elbow into TNT’s face, sending him stumbling into the corner! Then the Hell Machine gets a hold on Atlas and Mak Francis, grabbing one by the head in each hand and thrusting them towards each other, smashing their faces together with a double noggin knocker!

“Janus is destroying everyone in the ring,” cries Stevens.

“JANUS MAD,” crows Riley gleefully. “JANUS SMASH!”

The Hell Machine pulls Francis up by the back of the neck and begins raining sledgehammer-like forearm shots to his back. CIA and Wildchild recover, and decide to make a joint effort to derail the Janus Express, with the Canadian Superstar attacking high, and the Bahama Bomber going low.

OOF!

Wildchild stuns Janus with a running headbutt to the midsection, which doubles the Aussie Giant over, and gives CIA the opening he was waiting for.

BAM!

CIA rushes in on Janus, blasting him in the face with a running Roaring Elbow, which snaps his head back! Unfortunately for the two foreign fan favorites, their attack did not exactly the effect they had hoped for.

CRASH!

His eyes growing even darker with rage, Janus grabs both Wildchild and CIA by their trunks and heaves them both over his head, tossing them out of the ring! Wildchild manages to grab on to the middle rope to save himself, and extends his free arm in a desperate attempt to save CIA, but the Canadian Superstar crashes helplessly onto the arena floor!

“Janus is absolutely dominating this battle royal,” exclaims Steven. “Good God, he nearly eliminated two wrestlers at once!”

“Wildchild needs to thank his lucky stars that he’s part monkey,” says Riley, “’cause he was damn near sent out that time!”

The Bahama clings to the bottom rope for dear life as he tentatively creeps back inside the ring, behind the Aussie Monster. Atlas does his best to occupy his former Magnificent Seven mate as TNT and Francis recover behind him. He swings his leg sharply upwards, but the Hell Machine traps his leg with his massive paw. Before he allows Janus to decide on how best to cause him injury, Atlas flips up, kicking the Aussie Giant in the chin!

“Cruise Kick,” shouts Stevens. “Even Atlas is trying to get rid of the Hell Machine! I guess it truly is every man for himself!”

“When Janus left the Mag 7, he forfeited any expectation of loyalty,” replies Riley.

WHACK!

Atlas drops to his knees as he lands on the canvas, and TNT and the Franchise team up to rush towards Janus with a double clothesline. At the same time, Wildchild rises off the mat to his knees behind Janus, enabling Thompson and Francis to use the Bahama Bomber as a fulcrum to knock Janus off his feet, and over the top rope!

“He’s out,” shouts Stevens, Janus is out!”

“No,” replies Riley. “Not yet!”

Janus turns his body as he begins to fall out of the ring, and braces himself against the ring apron with both hands. Atlas gets to his feet and runs to the edge of the ring, assisting Francis and TNT in trying to push Janus out of the ring, as Wildchild pushes up from the bottom.

“This is going to take a joint effort,” says Stevens. “Even with all four of them working together, they might not be able to get Janus out of there!”

“Thoth, look across the ring,” cries Riley. “They’re going to get rid of your man!”

Across the ring, Thoth and Kibagami have been engaged in their own private battle, totally oblivious to the other goings on. Kibagami forces Thoth against the ropes, where he finally notices the plight of his protégé. Stunning Nathaniel with a thumb to the eyes, Thoth begins to make his way across the ring. As he starts to walk past Kibagami, however, Nathaniel stops him, reaching out and grabbing him with his left arm. As he spins around, Thoth swings his right arm towards his archrival, but Kibagami blocks with his left arm and thrusts his palm into Thoth’s midsection. Successfully knocking the wind out of his nemesis, Nathaniel follows up his attack with an elbow to the solar plexus, followed immediately by a backfist to the face! Kibagami grabs Thoth by the arm as he staggers backwards, and whips him towards the ropes. He drops to the ground as Thoth bounces off the ropes, and turns to watch his handiwork after his rival passes over him…

WHACK!

“He’s out,” exclaims Stevens triumphantly. “He’s finally out!”

“No,” screams Riley. “It can’t be!”

“It is,” replies Stevens. “And in the sweetest twist of irony, Kibagami used Thoth as the final push to send him out of the ring!”

Janus lands on his back on the arena floor, and sits up in a rage! Referee Sexton Hardcastle runs around the ring to where Janus is getting to his feet, informing him that he has to leave the ringside area, but the Hell Machine turns towards him and thrusts his arm forward, grabbing the miniscule official by his neck, and lifting off the ground, driving him viciously into the mat with a brutal chokeslam!

“Oh no,” shrieks Stevens. “Janus has snapped! He just attacked a referee!”

A cadre of referees runs from backstage down towards the ring. Sexton Hardcastle reaches the ringside area first, and turns the corner to approach Janus, only to run into a Big Boot from the Hell Machine!

Back in the ring, the other wrestlers watch the Aussie Monster’s horrific actions spellbound, until Atlas reminds them all what’s at stake, courtesy of an attempt to toss Mak Francis out of the ring. As the Franchise fights against Atlas to stay in the ring, Wildchild lunges at the Magnificent Seven member, knocking him back towards the corner with a flying forearm!

TNT, on the other hand, walks across the ring to assist Kibagami in attacking Thoth. Sneaking up behind him, TNT grabs both of Thoth’s arms, enabling Kibagami to hammer his nemesis in the face repeatedly with a battery of elbow smashes. Telling TNT to maintain a hold of Thoth, Nathaniel runs towards the opposite end of the ring, bouncing off the ropes to build up steam.

WHAAM!!!

Kibagami raises his leg off the ground to crush Thoth’s face with a Yakuza Kick, but the nefarious Nihonjin slithers out of TNT’s grasp and to the mat, causing Kibagami to blast Thompson in the face with the kick, sending him flying over the top rope and out of the ring!

“TNT is gone,” says Stevens woefully, “and we’re down to five men! Thompson was my pick to win the whole thing!”

“That just goes to show that you can’t count on alliances in this type of match,” says Riley.

As Kibagami looks outside the ring apologetically at TNT, Thoth surges up off the mat and crushes Nathaniel with a roundhouse kick right to the face!

“Oh my God,” shrieks Stevens. “What a kick by Thoth!”

“He could have taken his face off with that one,” says Riley.

Meanwhile, back outside the ring, Janus continues to fling referees around like pillows. As he notices TNT and Kibagami beating up on Thoth, he makes up his mind to return to the ring, despite the feeble protests of the officials. As he steps over the top rope, he is met by Wildchild and the Franchise, who disengage from their mutual attempt to get rid of Atlas in order to confront Janus, but the Hell Machine grabs each of them around the throat with one hand, and lifts them high above his head, into the air!

WHAAAAMMM!!!

“My God,” exclaims Stevens. Janus is a one-man wrecking crew in there! He just chokeslammed Wildchild and the Franchise at the same time!”

“Hell yes,” crows Riley. “JANUS SMASH PUNY HUMANS!”

Janus spies Atlas drawing near him out of the corner of the eye, and spins around suddenly. In a desperate attempt to save his own life, Atlas raises his hands in defeat, and flashes the Magnificent Seven’s official hand signal.

“Spare him, Janus,” pleads Riley. “Remember, M7, for life!”

“I thought you said that he had no right to loyalty once he walked out on them,” asks Stevens.

Riley becomes flustered, his face turning pink. “You took that quote out of context! Stop misrepresenting me!”

Nevertheless, Janus turns away, apparently mollified by Atlas’ attempt to placate him, until he remembers that Atlas was right in the thick of the group that conspired to eliminate him.

BAM!

With a rage flashing in his eyes, Janus spins around suddenly, whipping his leg up towards Atlas’ face, and nearly separating his head from his body with a DESTRUCTIVE Big Boot!

“Oh my god,” shouts Stevens. “He could have broken Atlas’ neck! Somebody stop this monster!”

Janus makes his way over to Kibagami, just as takes the roundhouse from Thoth, and places his head between his legs with a standing headscissors.

“Oh no,” groans Stevens, “he’s going to try it again!”

Janus bends over and wraps his hands around Nathaniel’s waist, before lifting him off the canvas. Hoisting him high overhead, the Hell Machine points his head slightly downward before driving him into the canvas!

BA-DOOOM!!!!

“Dark Bomb,” shouts Stevens, “Dear God, Dark Bomb!”

“And he’s not done yet,” giggles Riley.

Surely enough, Janus grabs Kibagami by the throat and thrusts him between his legs once more. He has to hold Nathaniel up with one arm, just to keep him from slumping lifelessly down to the mat.

“For God’s sake,” pleads Stevens. “You’ve made your point, Janus. Get out of the ring before you cripple somebody!”

“Screw that,” says Riley. “Hit him again, Janus!”

BA-DOOOM!!!!

The Aussie Monster lifts Kibagami off the mat once more, only to plant him back down with a second Dark Bomb!

“He’s not moving,” says Stevens. “Let him be, Janus! He’s not even moving!”

Deaf to Grand Slam’s pleas, the Hell Machine begins to scrape Kibagami off the mat once more, but as he appears to prepare for a third Dark Bomb, Thoth waves him off. With a mere nod of acknowledgement, Janus steps away as Thoth grabs Nathaniel by the trunks before he can slump back to the canvas. Leading him over to the edge of the ring, Thoth tosses his archrival over the top rope, and unceremoniously dumps him out of the ring.

“Thank God,” breathes Stevens. “Thank you, Thoth, for finally showing mercy!”

Far from actually showing mercy, however, Thoth directs Janus to follow Kibagami outside the ring and continue his destruction on the arena floor.

“No,” groans Stevens. “Good God, no!”

“Hah,” snorts Riley. “So much for your ‘mercy’ theory!”

Thoth direct traffic from inside the ring as Wildchild, Francis, and Atlas recover behind him. Janus pulls the protective foam padding away off of the concrete floor, and then reaches underneath the ring to retrieve a table! The crowd buzzes with anxious murmuring as they guess at what Janus intends to do.

“For the love of God,” pleads Stevens, “somebody stop this massacre!”

“I love it,” laughs Riley. “They could make a movie out of this: ‘The Death of Nathaniel Kibagami.’ I like the sound of that!”

CRUNCH!

As Janus bends down to grab Kibagami, Wildchild sneaks behind Thoth inside the ring. His attention still focused on the destruction of his nemesis, the nefarious Nihonjin fails to notice the Bahama Bomber leap into the air and blast him in the back of the head with a running dropkick that sends him over the top rope, out of the ring, and crashing into the wooden table!

“Thoth is out,” exclaims Stevens. “Wildchild eliminated Thoth!”

“He might have saved Kibagami,” says Riley as Janus turns back towards the ring, “but he isn’t going to be able to save himself!”

Atlas and Francis battle each other on the opposite side of the ring, leaving Wildchild to fend for himself. But, before Janus can successfully enter the ring, a patrol of armed police officers rush down to the ring, with three of the officers drawing their pistols as they form a circle around the Aussie Monster.

“Thank Christ,” sighs Stevens. “Finally! It’s about time somebody came down here to put a stop to this brutality!”

“I hope they brought some reinforcement with them,” says Riley. “Like the entire Iowa National Guard! If they get Janus pissed off again, I don’t think those guys will be able to stop him!”

“Are you serious,” asks Stevens. “Not even Janus is bulletproof!”

Janus pulls Thoth to his feet as the officers’ reinforcements arrive, and they walk back up the ramp under armed escort, with fans at ringside pelting them with debris, as EMT’s rush down to ringside with a gurney to evacuate Kibagami.

Atlas dominates Francis in the middle of the ring, hammering him with a series of vicious knife-edge chops. He whips Mak towards the ropes, but the Franchise reverses, scooping him off the mat as he bounces off the ropes with a Railgun suplex! Francis pops to his feet, and gives the fans the sign for the Franchise Tag!

“He’s going for the Franchise Tag,” shouts Stevens. “If he hits this, Atlas can kiss his hopes for a title shot goodbye!”

Francis traps Atlas in a front facelock and grabs his near leg underneath the knee before attempting to lift him into the air, but Atlas struggles for all he’s worth, blocking the suplex attempt with his free leg.

“Counter,” shouts Riley. “Atlas blocked the Franchise Tag!”

Still struggling to escape, Atlas punches Francis furiously in the ribs with his free arm, until the Franchise can’t hold on anymore. With lightning speed, Atlas suddenly gains the advantage, planting both his feet on the mat and shifting his weight, as he lifts Francis overhead into a Fireman’s Carry!

“Oh no,” moans Stevens. “Get out, Mak! Do something!”

WHAAAAAM!!!

Atlas leaps into the air, shifting his weight to the side as he drives Mak Francis headfirst into the canvas with his patented jumping Death Valley Driver!

“Saint’s Demise,” exclaims Riley. “I may be happy with the outcome of this match, yet!”

Atlas pops to his feet and looks down at his victim, his leather mask hiding a sinister smile. He bends down to pick Francis up off the mat, when suddenly Wildchild bursts back onto the scene, leaping onto the Magnificent Seven member and raining right hands upon his face.

“Wildchild steps in to make the save,” says Stevens.

“What the hell for,” asks an exasperated Riley. “Doesn’t he realize that the fewer people are in the ring, the better chance he has of winning the match?”

Wildchild grabs Atlas’ arm and whips him towards the corner, but Atlas reverses, sending the Bahama Bomber crashing into the turnbuckles. Atlas follows him into the corner, blasting him with a running uppercut!

“Well,” says Riley with a smile, “Wildchild put up a good fight, but this about to be the end of him. To be fair, though, he lasted a hell of a lot longer than he had any right to!”

Atlas grabs Wildchild underneath the arms, and lifts him off the mat. He lifts him over the top rope and begins to dump him out of the ring, but the Bahama Bomber locks his legs around Atlas’ neck and grabs onto the middle rope, pulling both him and Atlas out of the ring!

“Is he crazy,” roars Riley. “That damned fool just eliminated himself!”

“Look again, Bobby,” replies Stevens giddily as he points to the monitor. Sure enough, Wildchild continues to hang onto the middle rope, with one foot on the ground, and one dangling in the air!

“Impossible,” exclaims Riley. “He must have made a deal with the devil! There’s no WAY he could have eliminated Thoth AND Atlas!”

“I hate to break it to you,” says Stevens as Wildchild pulls himself onto the apron, “he just did!”

Wildchild rolls back into the ring as Atlas lies on the arena floor, staring into the ring with a shocked expression on his face. The crowd in the Hilton Coliseum comes to their feet as they realize that one of their two favorite wrestlers is going come away from this Battle Royal with a chance to dethrone Tom Flesher!

“It’s down to two,” says Stevens. “One of these two young men will be the Number One Contender to the World Heavyweight Title!”

“I can’t believe it,” grumbles Riley. “Somebody get Janus back out here! Maybe he can eliminate both of these guys simultaneously, or kill them, or something!”

Wildchild picks Mak up off the mat and grasps him by the shoulders. Looking him in the eyes, he asks, “you okay, mon ami?”

The Franchise looks back at the Bahama Bomber with a perplexed expression on his face. “Why did you help me? Why ARE you helping me now?”

Wildchild shakes his head with a grin. “Two reasons, mon ami: One, I’m not ready yet; Danny Williams thrashed me but good. I’m not ready to challenge Tom Flesher yet. And, second, I got other tings on my plate right now.” With that, Wildchild pats Francis gently on the chest as he steps away. “Go get ‘em, champ!”

“WHAT THE HELL?!”

Mark Stevens and Bobby Riley exclaim in stereo as Wildchild walks over to the edge of the ring, and grabs onto the top rope, vaulting outside the ring to the arena floor!

“What the (bleep) was that,” roars Riley. “What the hell did he do that for?”

“I wish I could hear whatever Wildchild said to him,” says Stevens shaking his head. “That has to be the strangest ending to a Battle Royal I’ve ever seen, but nonetheless, congratulations are in order to the Franchise!”

DING! DING! DING!

Soapdish orders the timekeeper to ring the bell, and walks over to the Franchise, raising his hand in victory as “Rock Superstar” begins to play once again in the Hilton Coliseum. The fans, somewhat confused at the ending, nonetheless applaud as Funyon makes the official announcement over the PA system. “The winner of the Battle Royal, and the new Number One Contender, ‘The Franchise,’ MAAAAAK FRANCIS!”

Wildchild walks away from the ring, nodding his head in approval, as Francis continues to look somewhat bewildered inside the ring.

“Well, however it happened,” says Stevens, “We have a new Number One Contender in Mak Francis, and we’ll find out soon enough whether or not he can put the Franchise Tag on the World Heavyweight Champion. Coming up next is our main event, where we’ll see Stryke try to continue a successful comeback, when he challenges Danny Williams for the ICTV Title!”

WHAM!

As Wildchild walks back up the ramp, Ejiro Fasaki races from backstage, and smashes the Bahama Bomber in the face with the tag title belt!

“It’s Ejiro,” shouts Stevens, as Judge William Hearford follows his partner out to the ring. “And Judge Mental, too! Why are Justice and Rule out here?”

Riley shrugs. “Who says they need a reason? Maybe they were as disgusted with the results of that match as I was!”

Stevens holds his head in his hands as the World Tag Team Champions put the boots to Wildchild. “This is the second time tonight that Wildchild has been involved in a skirmish at ringside with Justice and Rule, and once again, Johnny Dangerous is nowhere to be found!”

“He must have got really bad news from King earlier tonight,” says Riley. “Or maybe he just up and quit!”

Mak Francis rushes out from inside the ring, chasing Justice and Rule away as he tends to the Wildchild.

“Thank God Francis was still at ringside to make the save,” sighs Stevens.

“Oh yeah, says Riley sarcastically. “Yay Francis.”

“I can’t help but wonder where Johnny Dangerous is,” repeats Stevens. “Hopefully, we’ll get to the bottom of this mystery, but we’ve still got our Main Event, Stryke and Danny Williams, for the ICTV Title! And it’s coming up, next!”
