Demi Moore has reportedly been lined up for a part in the next Austin Powers spoof.

Mike Myers, who writes the scripts and plays the lead character, wants her to play the love interest.

Filming of Live & Let Pussy Die - the working title - is due to start next year.

Demi, 40, is in demand in Hollywood after taking a five-year career break.

Her role in the new Charlie's Angel sequel and her trim new figure have brought her a stream of film offers.

Demi's relationship with a man 15 years her junior is also attracting attention.

I thought they were supposed to cease with the James Bond title rip offs?

And certainly the MPAA will not let them get away with that title..

It only works if Big Pussy from Sopranos is on the poster...

It's just the working title...it means nothing at this point.

I'm surprised the article didn't mention that Demi produced the first two Austin films.

I'm glad Myers is making a fourth- They have a very easy plot to follow and the third one renewed my faith in the series.

Just wondering, where did that news come from?

I too thought they could no longer rip-off Bond titles, but I guess they'll try to work out some deal with MGM or whomever.

That's interesting. I thought the movie was one of the worst I saw in 2002 (Only beaten by The Tuxedo in terms of sucktitude).

I absolutely refuse to watch a fourth one in theatres. If my sister rents it when it comes out on VHS/DVD, then I'll sit down and watch, but Goldmember was completely atrocious with only a couple good moments.

There's a reason this is called the working title. At this point there's no the official title for the movie.

It will most likely be changed by time the movie is ready to enter the promotional stage of the film.

A lot of people didn't like the third one and it has its flaws. The big one being that Beyonce Knowles was there for the sake of having an Austin girl. They didn't make her character interesting like Elizabeth Hurley- they just made sure she showed boobs.

The third one righted a lot of the wrongs of the second one. Austin was given something to do rather then be a little pussy. The characters were fleshed out more, Goldmember was hilarious and what worked in 2 (the random cameos) worked even better in 3

First off, I didn't care for Goldmember. He had a couple moments, but all in all he added little to the movie despite the fact that he's the TITLE CHARACTER! If he was the main villain as opposed to just being a Dr. Evil stooge, maybe it would have been different.

Secondly, there was no reason to bring Fat Bastard back. I could have definitely done without that. I wouldn't have minded seeing him at the end of the movie, but the sumo stuff was just too much.

Also, in my opinion Scott Evil was BASTARDIZED. Nothing wrong with character development, and when it started simply with Scott sucking up to his dad it was fine. And then he lost his hair and just became Dr. Evil II. If they want to build him up to be the evil supervillain, that's fine, but I don't want to see him just portraying Dr. Evil Junior and losing everything cool ABOUT Scott Evil.

Also, the jokes were re-hashed until they weren't funny anymore. That is the sign of a franchise running out of ideas.

Were there good things? Yes. The acting was good and the Godzilla joke was GREAT. Michael Caine was superb as Austin's father and was the one thing they truly did right.

Truth is, right when Britney Spears showed up I had a sinking feeling that the franchise had been sucked up in its own fame, and I was right.

I'm the only one who seemed to enjoy the Goldmember character- I thought it was a great Myers creation.

Fat Bastard is the case of Myers' being a stubborn ass. I think he doesn't want to admit to himself that nobody liked Fat Bastard which is why we saw it again. I think FB is funny in small doses.

Scott becoming Dr. Evil II is one of those things that we'll have to wait for #4. Scott turning into him was a great build off the first one where Scott and Dr. Evil kept trying to bond and accept each other. Now Scott has finally become evil but Dr. Evil can't take it while in the first one- Dr. Evil was trying to rationalise while Scott wasn't evil and Scott couldn't take it. Poor family.

I thought the joke that ended with the Osbournes cameo was very well done. Even though the Osbournes are going to be so dated in a few years. The film was willing to admit that yes, they were rehashing the jokes, which made it easier to laugh along with. I do admit that the shhhh stuff fell flat this time around.

I thought the cameos were another sign that the franchise had grown- Like how the first shot of the second movie is their way of saying 'Yes- we have a budget.'

Goldmember was not as good as the first one but it was much better then the second one- Austin 3 set the viewer up perfectly up for Austin 4- it makes me want to see what happens with the Austin/Evil v. Scott storyline. Austin 2 failed to accomplish that.

No more Foxy Cleopatra though

Screw MPAA who needs a movie rating anyways. I just hope that Mike Myers does not play 8 different character in the new sequel.

Only those films that want to make money at the box office.

Most large chain theaters won't show unrated movies.

Eh, I only liked the first movie. I also really miss Liz Hurley. :(

Like it or not, though, Dr. Evil is the most popular character in the movies, IMHO.

Maybe Mike Meyers could get Christopher Walken to do a part in the movie. That would be spectacular.

I know this, but don't name the movie Goldmember and then make him meaningless after the first half hour.

I guess they just went with Goldmember more as a James Bond parody title than actually what the movie was about.

Also, Beyonce killed the move for me, too. (Care for a schmoke and a pancake?)

Goldmember not funny?

Hmmm.

Ok, I don't like the Austin Powers series, period, so I didn't hear/care about anything saying that they couldn't rip off James Bond titles up until now, so now I ask - How can they STOP them from spoofing the titles? Aren't parodies and spoofs protected under US law?

I mean, I don't know US law very well, but I DO know that like, Weird Al doesn't HAVE to ask permission to spoof people, but he does anyway (At least, that's what I was told). So, how can they stop them from spoofing movie titles?

I would also like to know where this story came from. I haven't seen any movie site saying this. As a matter fact, just this past Friday I read that there are NO plans to make another movie anytime soon, much less a title, a cast and a start date of next year.

After 3 I'm not that high on a forth one. But it'll make huge money, so they'll keep making them.

So yeah, silly me not putting a source on the first post..

I thought the first AP was funny in some points, the second funny in some points again, and although 3 still funny in SOME points, I felt after the first one, the series started to loose the magic that it really had in the very beggining. The fourth will be even worse and prob. not funny at all. Hey, I just won't see it, not my damn problem.
