Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted July 7, 2003 Did they run around screaming "we killed Free Music!!!" ? I think Lars was trying to save something, but he was ignored by the fans Fuck Lars in his little midget like BUTT. It's a shame that the good music they've made is overshadowed by him being a greedy prick.

Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 you'd be really surprised that Linkin Park got the crowd really going, and actually got a bigger and louder reaction than Metallica did. Limp Bizkit got a loud reactions, but they used pyro's for cheap heat. Mudvayne was decent, good for an opener Deftones was good. Chino lost some weight, but when Chino picked up that guitar... let me tell you that he can not play and sing at the same time

Please tell me that "used pyro for cheap heat" was an accident and not a joke ... fuckit, either way it made me laugh. And did Me-Greed-ica actually play their old songs in their entirety or was it one of those medley deals where they play like 2 minutes of each song?

Yes, because bands do entire shows made up of their old stuff in medly form. Like they do on tv. Idiot.

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 redbaron, tell me...where were you during Bizkit's set? I only ask because I have a question regarding it... Fucking amazing show, man.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted July 8, 2003 it probably sucked. Go to Dying Fetus/Skinless or Ozzfest instead Of Summer Suckatorium.
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 I'll be in attendance at the show on Saturday, thanks to free tickets from Linkin Park's publicist. I usually do photography at these shows, but sadly, Metallica's people didn't receive my fax the first time I sent it out and they'd already assigned all the passes. If they stick to this setlist, I'll just ditch after Nothing Else Matters so I can beat traffic.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Man, it fucking ruled. And I hate all 4 bands on the undercard.

Yes, because bands do entire shows made up of their old stuff in medly form. Like they do on tv. Idiot. I'm an idiot? I got the "Hero of the Day" single in a giveaway from a store, and it has two songs. The piece of shit "Hero of the Day" song and a MEDLEY OF THEIR OLD SONGS CALLED KILL/RIDE MEDLEY TAPED LIVE AT A CONCERT. And I saw them a few years ago and THEY PLAYED A MEDLEY OF THEIR OLD SONGS RATHER THAN PLAY THE ENTIRE THING. And as a former fan who thinks everything that they've done lately sucks, I was, as they say, displeased. Furthermore, I've never bothered to watch them "on tv" so I'm unsure what you're referencing there. So, this idiot asks you, kindly, to fuck yourself. Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 they usually do play a Kill/Ride Medley on most of their live albums (because they want to hype of the new stuff), and they do a good tranisition of it. But there was no medly at the concert, it was the whole song in and out.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 To Corey: I was at the one in Toronto, the Skydome. My seats were far back (yes seats), and I was sitting in section 117 row 17, seat

Thanks, Red ... when I looked at the set list it looked like it was old songs all bunched together, and so I was thinking maybe the medley'ed them. One of the times that I saw them they did that with a few songs, and while it made for a few cool segues (Master of Puppets --> Sanitarium --> Master of Puppets again) I'd have rather have seen the old songs in their entirety. Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 9, 2003 Bah. No Massholes here went to the show? I want to ask if anybody at the Foxboro (NOT Boston, dammit, there's about an hour's distance between the two) show on the floor heard some comments I yelled during Limp Bizkit's set... I want to ask if anybody at the Foxboro (NOT Boston, dammit, there's about an hour's distance between the two) show on the floor heard some comments I yelled during Limp Bizkit's set... Laz, I'm one of the only other Massholes on the board that I can think of ... and I didn't go this time. I just couldn't justify paying that much money for only one band. I did for their last show in Foxborough, and ended up skipping most of the undercard (I only went in for the end of the Korn set, who went on right before Metallica) so paid like $75 for only Metallica. Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 9, 2003 Man, it was worth it for the titties I saw, and making fun of Limp Bizkit. I even got into an argument with somebody at a concession stand line about who was better, Shadows Fall or Linkin Park (which I won by just going "Linkin Park is a boyband, Shadows Fall knows how to play their fucking instruments and gets a crowd a million times as rowdy as LP could possibly hope to," naturally), and on the walk from Gillette to the place where Petone's dad was picking us up, I schooled some kid on why Black Sabbath was better than Led Zeppelin. Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted July 9, 2003 I feel like it's just me and you talking in this thread now now, so I'm dropping out after this ... but the one thing that I was most pissed about missing at the last show in Foxborough was the exposed flesh ... and I figured I can see more boobage cheaper at most "dance clubs" or at a night drinking at the beach.
