Guest GameCop Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Well, RVD and Test are tied for the worst actor in WWE... The best all-around actor is Ric Flair followed closely by Mick Foley, The Rock, Jericho and Austin (in descending order).
Guest The ChriZa Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Best - Shane McMahon Worst - Linda McMahon
King Cucaracha Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Test is worst, but Torrie is close behind. Best currently around is either Eddie Guerrero, Heyman or Ric Flair. None of those will ever beat Al Wilson though...
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Test is easily the worst actor in the WWE from a technical standpoint, but he gets so many good cheesy lines ("I'm gonna make you my whore!", "I don't take no for an answer!", etc.) that his acting becomes unintentionally hilarious and thus is tolerable at worst, entertaining at best. The Worst: Test (see above) Stephanie McMahon (overblown soap opera-level melodrama) Vince Russo (annoying "shoot" nonsense and no range) RVD (getting much better, but still too little emotional range; he's fine backstage but I don't think he could carry a long in-ring promo) Paul Heyman (garbage, but the ICW generally has a hard-on for anything he does; no different than Russo in style and delivery) HHH (monotone, boring, long-winded, you all know the drill here) Divas (they are all generally useless; Terri, Torrie, and Stacey are probably the worst offenders) Linda McMahon (Al Gore's long-lost sister; thankfully all Linda does is make big announcements) The Best: The Rock (nails everything as a heel and almost everything as a face, can adapt to the crowd and ad lib at will) Chris Jericho (hits all the right notes with his heel character; his face one can be too goofy at times though) Vince McMahon (way over the top these days, but can still sell a big angle when required to) Mick Foley (his mix of funny everyman and intense competitor gives him a lot of range) Kurt Angle (pulls off all of his characters convincingly, whether it's being a goofball or being intense) Kevin Nash (seriously here, when Nash is on he can bring some good drama and believability to a segment; the night he first came back from his injury to re-take control of the nWo is a good example)
Guest Nater Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Acting? Promos? Believable script delivery? All of the Above? Worst over all is.. Linda McMahon, she is such a disappointment. Beating out Torrie, who I have trouble sitting through. Best over all is.. Jericho. Great timing, great expression, great lines ... and he doesnt do anything goofy like Angle (who is #2)
Guest Choken One Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Linda isn't really acting (save for the Comatose shit) and is pretty much there merely to say something huge... Best WRESTLING actor: The Rock His ability to sell and work a match is unbeliveable... Best CHARACTER actor: Chris Jericho From The Plucky Underdog in 1997 to the Conspiercy Cruiserweight Jack ass in 1998 to the Mischevious Heel in 1999 to the MAJOR BABYFACE of 2000-2001 to the LARGER THEN LIFE superstar of 2002-2003... Jericho does it so god-like. Worst WRESTLING actor Test He really doesn't make anything look good in the ring save for his Boot and Elbow drop. Worst CHARACTER actor Test The d level acting is so amazingly cheesy its gold...
Guest eiker_ir Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Best currently: The Rock and Jericho - both specially in Heel mode just own anyone else not currently wrestling: Foley - he just seemed so natural out there, when he freaked out and got all intense was great too (Cactus jack) Worst: Test (but he's good in a so bad it's good way)
Guest papacita Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Worst: Um...just to be different, I'm gonna say Billy Gunn... "Comprendes?! ESE?!" Dumb ass. Best: Between Rock, Foley and Austin. I LOVE Bischoff's acting too...such a great character.
Guest Goodear Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Torrie Wilson is the worst actor of all time. Come on, shes at her father's funeral and can't emote just a little? I don't get all the Jericho love, all he does as far as I'm concerned is work in his dopey little mispronunciations and a 'junior' every once in a while. I hardly ever get the impression he's actually mad or that any real emotion is coming from him. HIs delivery just sounds so scripted. I'll take Angle since he's got a whole lot of range.
Guest bravesfan Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I'm surprised no one has mentioned Trish Stratus or Lita, yet... The best? It's surely Ric Flair. Right behind "The Man" would be Rocky and Foley. The worst? As mentioned previously, either of those Diva's....just horrific.
Guest DerangedHermit Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I'm surprised no one said Stacy Keibler for worst actor. Those promos make me want to throw up. The best? Jericho, Rock, Angle, Austin, Foley, and Flair.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Worst: Zack Gowen, Test, Torrie Wilson, Linda McMahon, Kidman
Internet Warfare Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Now Worst- Kidman Best- Paul Heyman. Of all time Worst-Dino Bravo Best- Millian Dollar Man
LooseCannon25 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 You know, I have to agree with what someone said about Paul Heyman. The man is overly excited for everything. He'd oversell a Kurt Angle/Brock Lesnar skit if he was on commentary. Heyman: And now Michael Cole you see that monster, that indestructable machine Lesnar tapping Kurt on the shoulder asking him if he's alright. Something big is gonna happen here and I have a feeling it's gonna be extreeeeeeeeeeme!!!!!!!!!
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I love Paul E's over the top shilling, I miss him on tv
Guest Anglesault Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Test is the worst actor in the company. Remember when someone convinced him to hire a agent and try to get acting gigs? Sean O'Haire is up there as well.
Guest SethforPrez840 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 HBK is up there as a great actor as well. Don't forget all the times he get out of jobbing to someone backstage and did some great acting for storylines. "Lost my smile' for example.
Guest godthedog Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 best one i've ever seen is foley. flair, when he's on it, can be slightly better, but he's pretty hit-or-miss (especially lately), and when he's bad it's pretty embarrassing to watch. even foley's worst is very watchable. worst is probably steiner, but he still entertains me in a 'showgirls' kind of way.
Cherry Blossom Viscount Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Torrie Wilson is the worst actor of all time. Thank you. I'm sure in Jericho's defense someone will mention that Rock promo from 2002. Wow.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 worst is probably steiner, but he still entertains me in a 'showgirls' kind of way. That's probably the best way to describe it.
Guest razazteca Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Goldust, Stevie Richards, Val Venis, Tommy Dreamer are all good but get character assassination the second it gets over. Worst is Randy Orton PERIOD
Detective Comics Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Worst: BILLY KIDMAN. Yes! The way he is playing off his current situation with Rey is so bad it blows my mind.
Guest JMA Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I actually prefer RVD to the rest of the melodramatic actors. He comes off as a real person, and not just a character. I like the laid back, stoner persona.
Guest godthedog Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 rvd was actually pretty good when he first arrived and the writers were catering to his strengths. linda: hey, rob, good to see you! rvd: good to be me! when he sticks with being a laid back guy who smiles and tells everybody that he's the shit and he doesn't need to worry about anything, he's decent. he's just bad when he strays from that.
Guest CanadianChick Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Torrie Wilson and Billly Kidman are both pretty bad, especially together. Remember when they didn't have any on-screen chemistry at all even thought they are a couple in real life? Ouch. Same with Test and Stacy. Except Test can act being very mad, which is more than I can say for Stacy.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Best: Chris Jericho. After watching his match vs Michaels at WrestleMania last night I'm a believer. The guy had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. Worst: RVD, Test, Charlie Haas and Big Show are all pretty freakin bad.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Worst: Zach Gowen Sable: You want me? Zach: Yes. S: Well you can't have me. Z: Oh... ... no.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 "linda: hey, rob, good to see you! rvd: good to be me!" Man, I was going to put my man RVD down...but now I just can't. Worst: Test and Steiner. Best: Jericho and Angle.
