I've seen almost every TNA since the beginning. I've watched every TNA on tv since 4/30's show.

Actually it would more be like from Triple A to Water/Towel/Bat boy.

But very few in the CW division get a shot. Look at Jamie Knoble. He's a huge talent but he's under 6'3" 275lbs so he's a jobber

Hey, I remember him now, I saw him get his ass handed to him by Matt Hardy 2 weeks ago on Velocity. Matt was vicious enough not only to give just one Twist of Fate, but TWO T.o.F.s. The funny part was the crowd was going wild for V1.

So I guess we know Samoa Joe's going over on 7/19.

Which is good for me since I'm a Joe mark, and I really thought they were going to give it to London since he's failed at getting the title many times over.

Oh I'm sure London is on the highest of highs right now, but what happens one year down the road when all he's doing is being thrown around by talentless giants and his talents go overlooked? There's only so much the novelty of being a WWE superstar can do for you, eventually you want to become a featured player, eventually you want your turn at bat, eventually you want to hit the grand slam, bottom of the 9th, last at bat etc etc.

Well this would be London's third attempt at getting the title. The four way #1 contenders match was a clue that Joe was retaining. This just makes it official

Can somebody sell me on this guy? I've never seen his work and I'm looking at ordering some tapes soon. Can I get a recommendation?

I've heard nothing but good about him and I personally am happy he's getting a chance to fulfill his vision of what he wanted out of the wrestling business. Plus I imagine it'll be nice to work probably half the amount of shows and make more money.

no one signs a contract thinking "they're gonna bury me"

Maybe they should start because that's usually what happens.

there's a CW division so he's got a shot.

Buried, WWE cruiserweight division...po-tay-to, po-tah-to.

I am happy for Paul London the person. He gets a shot at his dream of working for WWE. With any luck, he'll make good money and be able to take care of himself and/or family.

It's his matches and career I'm not feeling so hunky dory on. Until WWE shows me they are serious about pushing guys who aren't over 250 ibs, then it's a wait and see situation with London.

I am happy for him though. While I might not see his crazy ass offense (I have ROH tapes for that) anymore, it's nice to see someone like him get a shot.

I just hope he's done in OVW very quickly.

Cornette should hopefully teach him how to promo and he should hit the ahem additional supplements too there which would help. He will learn how to work better down in OVW too.

Good luck to him. I think he has what it takes to make it in the WWE. He got over on the indies very quickly and I think he put on better matches than Spanky ever did too. He will also try and kill himself to get over if the WWE give him chance to do it.

Nova is still in OVW because he still has no idea how to work. Plus he can't talk and his run as champ failed so badly the kentuckiana crowd was shitting on him when he was supposed to be a babyface.

Jeter vs London in OVW oh fucking hell yeah. London vs Dinsmore or Conway too would rock.

I'm going to backtrack a couple of pages coz I only just got here, but the first thing I thought was, "Oh man, NOW Kidman is gonna be pissed". Dames was right, Kidman wasn't happy at all that Lesnar used an SSP at WM, but I spose he just dealt with it coz Lesnar is champ and about 2,000,000 times more over than he is. But when a rookie just breaking in wants to use it, (and do it better I might add!), he is going to have a conniption.

Good luck to London, another rare smart move by the WWE.

hope they don't ruin him... Like by taking away his awesome SSP just because it would make Kidman's look like pure crap.

I'm ecstatic that I get to see Paul London show everyone that dreams can come true.

If that's what entertains you, go rent Dumbo.

If this guy is that good, why do you want him to go to OVW for a year so he can come back and job to Albert?

Kidman after seeing Paul London's SSP in a ROH match:"He stole it from me, Vince! He stole it from me, Vince! Damn it, I do a better Shooting Star Press, make him use something like....I don't know, just a regular splash or something?"

Val Venis(yes, I know he's on Raw):"Hey! Wait a minute, then he'll be stealing MY finisher! Make him use a superkick!"

Shawn Michaels:"What?! Even though he was one of my students, I'm not letting him steal that from me either!"

Vince:"Alright, settle down, how about THIS: A Tornado DDT! Ha ha ha!"

Jealous wrestlers above:"Good idea, Vince!"

The Tornado DDT is like the Cruiserweight superkick. Generic finisher of 80 cruisers.

Yeah, because we know everyone of these people they bring up now from OVW like Orlando Jordan and Garrison Cade are masters of the mic and can put on 5 star matches no problem.

That was the point I was making with Vince having him use a watered-down finisher. Besides, Jerry Lynn's not in WWE anymore anyway.

I don't think Kidman will want to use the SSP after seeing how much better London's is. Kidman could always go back to the Kid Krusher or use a new finisher. He used a pretty cool Kryptonite Crunch into an X-Factor to finish off Crash at a house show last month.

Besides, didn't Kidman get injured because of a botched SSP?

What doesn't get Kidman injured? He comes back for like 2 weeks then gets injured again like every time. He is a crybaby too. I didn't hear anyone whining when he stole AJ Styles top rope shooting star to outside the ring a week after AJ came into WCW.

Because this is what Paul London has worked for his whole life and as someone who has followed him throughout his ROH career- I'm happy that all his hard work in ROH has paid off for him

Guest Thunder Rising!!!

All the best to London to be able to fulfill his lifelong dream.

But guys.. admit it,

not enough ring time, watered down move set, WWE style, squash matches = zero chances of seeing a London ROH classic

They don't allow them to work their own style, don't give them good opponents, if they don't get over as expected, the upper management will shit on them and they end up jobbing like Knoble.

Now let us make a count of how many potentially awesome workers/characters they have ruined by bringing them to the WWE.

1. Spanky

2. Ultimo Dragon(though we have not seen enough to prove it yet, but who is optimistic that he will do well here?)

3. Knoble

4. Raven

5. Mike Awesome

I'm too lazy to think of anymore, please add to the list.

Mike Awesome ruined himself. Look at his work in TNA where his style wasn't restricted.

The guy simply sucks.

Really paid off for him.

You can't polish a turd so to speak. Those two would be bad examples of what OVW can do as Orlando especc was rushed through the fed. You should look at someone like John Cena as an example of a guy who became much better and more comfertble on the mic and have an understanding how to work tv matches after working with Cornette. Danny Davis is a great trainer but he is no miracle worker and if there are obviously major issues with the guys inring work they can't simply turn them into super workers. Likewise with Corny and thier mic skills.

Paul London will learn how work WWE style matches, how to work a crowd not made up of smarts, how to promo, how to work wrestling angles and most imortantly will be able to work with guys like Dinsmore and Conway who are as good as the very best he has wrestled in the past ie American Dragon. He is a good wrestler now [although too spotty if he ain't in their with someone to control things] but there IS issues he needs to sort out before being thrown onto Smackdown. In OVW he will hopefully learn these and be all the better for it.

I swear some of you people who shit on OVW have probably never even watched a tape of the stuff. Its amazing to see guys like Johnny Jeter progress into guys capable of working in the WWE. Don't judge it on the fact you don't like Batistisa or any of the roid heads who Cornette has to deal with half the time who get rushed into the WWE. If London was to go straight onto WWE tv now they would probably hold him back. A good few months of OVW could be all the difference he needs.
